I have a thing for brocolli and cauliflower chesse, which neith child likes... and I also have a thing for, tomato and onion on a slice of buttered bread with red wine vinegar....

Poor DD I sent her to the shop (luckily not even 2 mins away) for spaghetti hoops, as I eally fancied them instead of beans...

twoplusone · 03/01/2007 17:40

brandytutter- goodluck with the scan tommorrow.

Chooster · 03/01/2007 18:49

Hi ladies - Thanks for the good wishes - Am thrilled to day the scan went well today! I was so nervous, when they started but the consultant has been amazing! She was the same one as last time and had done all her homework with the genetics people about what to look for. And it was all great! The condition my last baby had caused him to be immobile so as soon as I saw this one move and wriggle about I knew it would be OK.

Thanks for your good wishes - I feel like a fully fledged member of the 'due in july' gang now Its like finding out I'm pregnant all over again.

Its great your DH has taken some time to be with you EmmyB - make sure you take it very easy. Fingers crossed for your results on Friday.

Good luck to those with scans coming up!!!

And just to re-iterate whats already been said, Twoplusone - you are a superwoman! Two kids, no DH at home, feeling tired, plumbing... You put us to shame!!

Take care all

Oh, and abgirl - apparently am 11 weeks today, but am not sure what that does to my due date - I think 25th July is fine for now!!

Great news Chooster

twoplusone · 03/01/2007 19:26

Great news Chooster.. so so happy for you..just got in from walking the dog and my face is numb from the cold. DS was ok though as my mum bought him a ski suit for xmas and he puts that onand his snow boots to keep him toasty in the pushchair.. no snow here yet though, I was expecting loads by now...

snowytyphoonsmum · 03/01/2007 19:27

Talking on things you just had to have. On Boxing Day I had to have a indian takeaway. DP, the one who drives in the house, was out on the pi** and nowhere that delivered was open.
Had to run around to the corner shop and bought tinned spag bol and macaroni cheese - not together. DD had the Spag bol and I had the macaroni cheese ( but wanted the spag bol)
Got my indian takeaway at the weekend and it was DIVINE. First meal I finished in a long time.

Miaou · 03/01/2007 19:40

Oh that's fantastic Chooster, what a relief for you and your dh. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 19:47

Hello all, not been around for a while, had a lot of family stuff going on, dont dont know how often i will get on now.

Got scan tomorrow morning, i am so worried, i dont know why though, everything seems fine so far, with ds i had one problem after another.

Ds not sleeping well, we have both had a cold, so he has been up and down like a yo yo, droped the night time bf now (well, 7pm, to 6am, fed then back to bed for about an hour) so hope things will improve.
The nights he is sleeping well, i am restles, so not slept for more than 2 hours at a time, and to add, dh cut his hand, (hes a chef) so cant dress ds, meaning i have to get up at 7am!

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO TIRED!
rant over!

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 19:51

oh and got a HUGE FCI*G cold sore, so cant put any makeup on, and have bags like you would not belive under my eyes, How the hell am i going to cope with two so close together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 19:52

F***G

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 19:56

Oh i give up, i dont care if it does not say what i want, see i am going crazy, i am sat talkig to myself!

Anyone want a very bad tempered, stoppy, 8 month old for a week? oh and he crawls and pulls himself up, thinks sleep is for wimps, and will eat the entre contents of your fridge in one day.

swift1 · 03/01/2007 20:04

Hi Everyone,

with regads to maternity leave, Ive seen on the gov website that we are entitled to 39 weeks maternity pay now!!! woohoo.!

Bodkin · 03/01/2007 20:05

Yay Chooster - that is brilliant news - you have made me come over all unnecessary and moist around the eyes. Just thrilled for you... and, as you say, it's like finding out you're pregnant all over again, but with only a 6 month gestation

Still haven't had time to catch up with everyone else but hi to one and all.

Feeling absolutely shattered most of the time, have the odd day where I feel normal but today has been mostly sofa-bound with the occasional vague attempt at some parenting of DD (who is showing signs of coming down with Chicken Pox - doh! It is her 3rd Birthday on Friday, and also the day of my scan, so that means I'll have to go alone so DP can stay at home with her)

Bump starts to look quite impressive by about 6.30pm of an evening. Disappears again in the morning though!

Bodkin · 03/01/2007 20:07

Cross post Swift1 - I am equally ecstatic about that. I get maternity allowance as am self-employed which has also increased. Glad I didn't get a March baby (which would have been when we started trying) else I would have missed out on that!

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 20:57

nobody want a bad tempered 8 month old then?

no first timers want the practice (hehe)?

Jennster · 03/01/2007 21:25

Aahh littlepiggie. Hope everything gets better for you. We could swap for a night, we've reintroduced a dream feed so she has started sleeping through again. Yay! Also changed the formula she was on in the day and hey presto the nappies are SOOO much better. Thought she had a nasty bug, but no it was the Hipp milk. Still bf morning and night though!

littlepiggie · 03/01/2007 21:36

he sleeps better without the 10pm feed. I think he eats so much that he was getting to full and getting tummy ache. Dont think he is hungry, just hard work.

Beartime · 03/01/2007 23:13

Twoplusone- glad your scan went well - did DH enjoy seeing it?

Cazzybabs - I'm sorry about the miscarriage too, I was feeling too ill before to write anything. But I think at your age you have lots of time for more, don't say your body has decided not to have anymore! I know some people who have had 10 miscarriages and still have healthy babies afterwards, not that you would have 10 ofcourse. i hope you are able to feel better soon.

3flights so glad you got good test results!

Myfairone - sorry you're still feeling bad, but I'm sure you'll be over the hill soon

Firststar - congrats on healthy and waving scan!

Chooster - well done on your scan!

Ds got flu now too - so dosing him up with nurofen, calpol, benylin (not all at once ) but feeling jealous cos I only got to take paracetomol and he can have all the antihistamines, cough meds etc.

3flightsofstairs · 03/01/2007 23:21

So glad Chooster that everything's OK - have just shed a tear for you! Kept thinking about you when I had my CVS, sooo happy for you. Woohooo! You've made my day.

Emmy take it easy, the days drag but just rest up. Looking forward to hearing that all is well.

Great news on the scans fiststar and catstar! Aww for the babies - how lovely!

Good luck tomorrow brabdytutter and littlepiggie. Know what you mean about your 8 month old littlepiggie! Our DS is 13 months, and is generally great but he's got a few molars coming through and they hurt! Sometimes even 3 rounds of twinkle twinkle doesn't even get him joining in!

And twoplusone. Promise us NO MORE lifting of heavy goods or plumbing shenanignas. Put your feet up, have a nap and get a burly neighbour to do your lifting instead.

Big wave to everyone else!

3flightsofstairs · 03/01/2007 23:27

crossed posts beartime - get well soon!

And thanks to everyone for the congrats on our results. Feel like we've just won a big prize - which we have of course in a way

decafgirl · 03/01/2007 23:59

Is it just me who's not sleeping at night any more? I seem to be expanding on the inside (and in my boobs - hoorah) but don't really have anything to show for it except the bags under my eyes!

However, 4pm is apparently now my body's nap time. This will be great when I go back to work on Monday!

Hope you all had a fab Christmas/New Year. I had my scan on the 22nd so got to tell all my extended family on Christmas day and have been gradually telling friends ever since it's been great!

xx Decaf

twoplusone · 04/01/2007 06:28
