Sarah, Very sorry to hear your sad news. Lots of hugs

sputnik · 21/12/2006 05:10

Sleepless again so thought I'd take the oportunity to wish everyone a merry one, as I'm off til way after xmas

bumperlicious · 21/12/2006 09:31

Sarah, so sorry to hear about your news. Take care of yourself
NTB glad you got a dress, f you would like to borrow a veil I would be happy to lend you mine. I lent it to my best friend in September too so it's doing the rounds. It's very long though, about calf length, edged in beads, and would suit an Ivory/off-white dress. Fixes in with a comb. Let me know if you are interested!
Btw have you been getting headaches a lot? I do, in my semi lucid state as I woke up with one this morning I convinced myself I had a brain tumor! Think it's just tiredness though.

twinkle5GoldRings · 21/12/2006 09:47

I also have woken with the 'brain tumor' headache! Seems to ease considerably after breakfast though- so maybe low blood sugar?
Does anyone think they have felt baby move yet? I am 15+6 and have on a couple of occasions felt a 'bubbling' sensation- I know it's prob just wind but I'm not so sure....

marylou23 · 21/12/2006 11:03

Hi guys,

No headaches for me; still feeling a bit sick sometimes, particularly when I haven't eaten - early evenings are worst. Other than that I'm feeling pretty normal really, apart from my rapidly growing stomach. Went for a private scan (14 weeks) for reassurance - after I found out at 12 weeks that we'd lost one of the twins I just couldn't relax - but little bean is fine and healthy, so am feeling slightly more confident now. Although I think probably I won't feel entirely out of the woods until it's born, grown up, got through teenage years, had its gap year, gone to university, got its first job and is sailing merrily into middle age...

lildrummerKel · 21/12/2006 11:38

LOL Marylou -- many is the night when DH and I make not one, not two, but four little trips into DS's room just to make sure "he's ok." He's over 9mo now but to us, he's still a vulnerable little boy...Funny what a panicky person you become.

Merry Christmas everyone departing for the weekend...we hope the fog lifts so we can make it to the MIL on Saturday.

Daisybump · 21/12/2006 13:32

Sarahsauage...so so sorry to hear your news . thinking of you and sending lots of hugs.

MagicGenie · 22/12/2006 14:17

Blimey - this thread has really grown since I last posted!

Got my in-laws here for Christmas now, so DH and I were shopping this morning for all the trimmings. Market shopping tomorrow for the veg and then that's it!

Feeling OK. Into my maternity jeans now...no going back. Remember feeling like this last time but my body temperature has started to rise; despite it being cold outdoors I always feel warm. Bit scary on a morning when I wake up nearly baking!

If I don't 'call in' before Christmas...best wishes to you all xx.

NattyandThomasandBumpandSanta · 22/12/2006 19:46

yeah bump been getting awful headaches i have one now actually. i am begining to suspect chocolate. we ran out until this morning when we did the "xmas" shop (turkey etc) and ive not had a headache for a few hours then i ate chocolate....
i only got 4 hours sleep last night thanks to thomas, so am off to bed now... night night xx

Hi everyone,

This will be last 'check in' for me until things get more normal! Off to M&S to collect turkey this morning. Really cant face it as feel sick sick sick, was actually sick in middle of night which is a first. Dont know if it was fish & chips or pregnancy

Thinking about the maternity jeans too as dont think the hair band and safety pin are going to last much longer on my regular jeans!

Off to severn valley railway to see santa christmas eve and lunch in bewdley for a desperate santa pie! mmmmm....

Anyway, hope you all have a lovely christmas met you all back here when all has returned to normality. Cant wait myself (bah humbug!)!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 23/12/2006 15:07

Yippee- a Xmas miracle! Just want to celebrate the purchase of new bra in bigger cup size Ok so its only a B and there's still a bit of loose material but am definitely spilling out the sides of the 34A. Wonders will never cease.

NattyandThomasandBumpandSanta · 23/12/2006 15:23

tahlulla well done we are all sooo proud of you
look at it this way tho, if you have a small chest your bump looks bigger, and people realise your not fat sooner...
where as for me, i still look like i ate all the pies. mmmmmm mince pies! "goes to cupboard in search of the mince pies she knows she has already eaten"
thomas has slept bugger all this week, i am sooooo tired im thinking of cancelling xmas
also angry with lazy maplins man. i rang the store to ask if they had any white keyboards in stock, to which he said "not at the moment no"
have been looking everywhere and decided to pop in anyway (about 2 hours after call) to find they had shelves full of them... grrr complained to manager i was so mad. making a pregnant woman struggle around shops 2 days b4 xmas when you had them and were to lazy to look! grr grrr grrr!!!!!

well anyway will pop on and off over xmas, dont know if i will get a chance to write..

see you all next week!

hello..can I join you now? I am 13+3... I think

Seansgirl · 23/12/2006 21:46

Welcome to the club aunty mandy. Im 13+1. Theres a link on this thread somewhere from sputnik where you can post your stats.

Ingalls · 24/12/2006 22:07

Hi all, just popping in quickly to say a very Merry Christmas to everyone. Will catch up properly once things are less hectic in a day or two. Hope everyone is well, finally got round to telling folk in RL today so will out myself when I log in next and start using my usual chat name. Take care and have a fab time tomorrow

auntymandy · 26/12/2006 15:01

Are any of you showing yet or is it because I am expecting no 6 and have no tummy muscles!!

doggus · 26/12/2006 21:18

Welcome auntymandy. I am not exactly showing... it's weird as I haven't put on any weight but when I tried an old dress on for Christmas it was too small round the waist. I just look podgy in the tummy area. I want a neat little bump!

Happy Christmas all. I have been quite poorly and had to rush to the doctors with a temp of 102 degrees. It was just a virus but now I have raging sinusitis, like elephants tap dancing in my head. Still, I did not let the side down and have managed to pork down a huge Christmas dinner, almost a tin of Roses, and pounds of cheese. It can be good sometimes, this pregnancy lark, it conceals how truly greedy I am!

NattyandThomasandBumpandSanta · 26/12/2006 22:28

hi guys hope you had a good xmas!

i am HUGE! this is my second of course so might be part of it, also the fact i only had about 4 months between preg might also explain it. i suppose my muscles just havent recovered, they have done good to hold out till then. mind you i am the most far ahead here being due on the 1st.
ive not put any weight on anywhere else, but i have a neat hard bump (hence why i know its not fat as it is very hard!)

i ate so much the last few days.. i had a huge xmas dinner and pud at mine xmas eve, followed by an even bigger one at my mums xmas day, tee hee greedy pink oink oink! will miss pregnancy excuse next year, and we have decided this may well be the last baby we have. so am enjoying it as much as possible!

love to you all!

I hate the stage where you just look a bit fat rather than pregnant!!!
Luckily I lost a couple of stone over the year so I can fit in to some of my old clothes, but even some of them are feeling a little tight. It seems too soon to pull on the maternity jeans, but when I tried them they were oh so comfy!!!
14 weeks today

TALLULAHBELLE · 29/12/2006 16:59

Yeah doggus podgy is the word! My middle is decidedly podgy. Funny thing though, I have a big bump at night then in morning it's almost gone. Fluid maybe?

Glad to report that haven't been sick in over a week and nausea eased too . Still eating every 2 hours though - has become a habit, hence the podginess!!!.

Best news is DH returns home tomorrow, been gone 10 weeks so has missed all the fun. I plan to relapse and recreate all the pukiness, fatigue and mood swings of 1st trimester just so I can have all the pampering that is my due.
