Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 41st grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 41sr grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates. (Except it's not because I don't know how to link to the stats sheet!)

Bonjour viroids! Just returned from Paris- DH and I went for a little trip to see my brother and eat lots of delicious French food. No kir royales -humph- - did pinch a little sip of DB's though!

Welcome YB! Lovely to see you!

Got one of the registrars at work to scan me on Friday when I was supposed to be 7+9, but she only saw a 6w gestational sac. Suppose I knew this really because my cycles are long and I think I ov'd late as pud said. But found it a bit meh to be knocked back 2 weeks! And no heartbeat yet (it was abdominal though not vaginal). Is it weird to be disheartened?! I find this early preg malarkey very anxiety-inducing. And it goes so slowly!!

But Kate you should definitely see someone, it sounds like you are really struggling with it and at least if you see GP/mw they will be able to assess you and see if you need other support. Chin up!

Sorry if I have missed any other things, trying to catch up with a rubbish data connection on train!

pud I'm not sure if you will have a sweep, I can't see why not. Depends if they can get through your cervix I guess... Did you say it was nice and soft?

corgi88 · 15/12/2015 14:11

Doh on above message I meant 7+6!

ThursdayLastWeek · 15/12/2015 15:39

IME & O sweeps are almost entirely pointless Pud. Sorry, that's probably a bit brutal, but there's certainly no way one MWs fingers are going to get a baby that's not ready to come out, out.

jellypi3 · 15/12/2015 16:03

I think if you want a sweep then have one pud, but i wouldn't let them force one on you, i'm planning on saying no to mine (but ofc Jelly baby will arrive nicely at 38 weeks right...)

ThursdayLastWeek · 15/12/2015 16:32

Deffo jelly Grin

MollyBloomYes · 15/12/2015 16:35

I'd always heard that the only things that really get things going are walking up stairs and bouncing. Maybe a bit of nipple twiddling but you have to be really imminent. I have a birth ball, no idea where the pump is. It mocks me all deflated from the corner of the room. Smells delicious though, had this with DS suddenly not being able to get enough of chemically rubbery type smells. I never wanted to leave halfords. Maybe I'll treat myself with a trip tomorrow Grin

Mermaid36 · 15/12/2015 16:36

Is it entirely wrong that I have spent the afternoon googling for goth/alt maternity wear??
Eventually found some on cafe-press, but the only actual companies that do it are in the US - how depressing!!

KateBeckett · 15/12/2015 18:06

Thanks everyone Flowers

Had my ppa this morning, spent about 40 mins crying to myself, then had a good chat with dp (after a shitty argument last night- I was being really snappy with him Blush ) he has had mh issues in the recent past so handsome good advice and was lovely.

Going to try and book an appointment with the nice go, but knowing our doctors I'll be surprised if I manage to get one before my scan next week!

Had a lovely dream last night that we had the scan and everything was fine, so maybe my subconscious is trying to tell me not to worry so much.

Sorry for the me post again. Hope you are all ok.

CarrotPuff · 15/12/2015 19:30

Haha Molly I have the opposite issue - I've got the pump but no idea where the ball is! Hiding in the loft somewhere...

Kate good to hear you're feeling more positive. Hormones can really mess with your head. Looking forward to baby pics tomorrow!

Baby is moving so much today I'm not sure it's his/her bum or BH. Some movements are so strong they make my arm jump up if it's somewhere near the bump Shock

I'm starting to worry about PEP. Got itchy head now. I really wish I haven't googled itchy stretch marks the other day...

CarrotPuff · 15/12/2015 19:35

I'm always baffled by the walking up stairs advise. Everyone's different of course, but I really doubt that there are many women about to pop who find walking up the stairs a complete doddle. I find it absolutely exhausting. Really don't see a point doing it even if it brings on labour - what's the point if you then have zero energy to get the baby out?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/12/2015 19:51

Xmas Grin at molly sniffing her way around Halfords.

First set of bloods came back. I have low iron, which explains quite a lot... glad I know now as I have started supplements so should be back to my old self in no time...

Got my pom poms out for all the December babies!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/12/2015 19:55

Just pissed myself while sneezing. Like properly pissed, not just a leak.

Really need to remember my kegels...Xmas Blush

jellypi3 · 15/12/2015 20:35

Grin oh no sky! I'm squeezing now lol

honeysucklejasmine · 15/12/2015 20:37

Carrot, Molly I win! I have two balls, one stopper and no pump. Grin

Sorry Sky but LOL!

Brownies and Rainbows Christmas party. I am exhausted.

5hell · 15/12/2015 22:11

oh sky ! Xmas Blush ...the Tena lady app is your friend; I can't believe i survived my cough/cold without wetting myself probably spoke too soon

have spent the evening making canapés for festive buffet at work tomorrow, and finishing my work secret santa (personalised decorated mug)...feeling quite xmassy now :)

mer nothing wrong with that, but maternity wear shopping seems to be a bit depressing no matter what sort of clothes you're after! Hmm

YouBastardSockBalls · 15/12/2015 22:18

Sorry I haven't rtft. Having a bit of a crisis.
I'm severely emetophobic and feeling v nauseous tonight. I just cannot cope, I'm so so afraid Sad

I'm not even 4 weeks yet, strong positive on CD21/22 which was Saturday, but feeling awful and had terrible diarrhoea sorry tmi for days. If it's like this now what have I got to come!??

DC1 no nausea at all, nothing. Boy.
DC2 some nausea from around 7 weeks, never actually sick but close a few times. Girl.

This pregnancy - I'm just terrified. I'm going to go to the GP and ask about anti-emetics. Has anyone had them.

Sorry me me me

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/12/2015 22:28

mermaid Topshop maternity is by far the least depressing if you don't want to look mumsy... Asos has good stuff occasionally too. You could also try ebay. I found some nice things there.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/12/2015 22:31

PS to all those loling at my misfortune. I actually weed on my own foot. I was sat in DPs office chair with my legs crossed thankfully. It wasn't bad enough to wet the chair but I had to change my pj bottoms.

dies of shame

oneyorkshirepud · 15/12/2015 22:39

Oh Sky! Get squeezing my dear, you can easily reverse a lax pelvic floor with some exercises, definitely download an app. Daisy birthing recommends not doing them after about 37 weeks I think but then ideally you should start again 24-48 hours after birth to aid pelvic floor recovery. No idea how that works with stitches, I'll let you know.

Sorry you are feeling so worried YB. Speaking to your gp is a good idea but have you also considered something for the phobia? Hypnotherapy? CBT? Just a suggestion....

honeysucklejasmine · 15/12/2015 22:45

YB I am on cyclizine. Get sorted asap. The vom will come and you may end super unlucky like me. (30 weeks, still need anti sickness meds).

honeysucklejasmine · 16/12/2015 06:35

Good morning!

I am developing a mucous cough. Lovely.

YouBastardSockBalls · 16/12/2015 06:55

Thank you....honey does it help? Im getting hypnotherapy too, starting this week hopefully. What else do you find helps?

Sky it could have been worse, you could have been in public! If it makes you feel better, I nearly shat myself in the kitchen in front of DHs friends last night, managed to make the bathroom but not the upstairs one so they heard everything anyway. Blush

It's true what they say, you leave your dignity at the door with pregnancy....!

fruitlovingmonkey · 16/12/2015 06:59

I can't laugh at your misfortune Sky. Yesterday I coughed so much I vommed on the hall floor.
I always take shit loads of lemsip when I'm ill, never really believed it does anything but holy fuck I am suffering without it. 4 days of being holed up in the house coughing and sneezing and I still feel like crap. DH has gone off on a work trip this morning so I have to fend for myself must teach the dog to cook
Hope you've stopped itching carrot.
Mermaid it's great that you are looking for something different but good luck with that. Mat clothes are pretty depressing. Apparently every preggo gets a burning desire to dress like a middle aged frump and an uncontrollable love of man made fabrics!

YouBastardSockBalls · 16/12/2015 07:13

Mermaid asos and h&m get nice maternity stuff in?

jellypi3 · 16/12/2015 07:23

I liked new look maternity stuff, guess it depends on your style :)

yb sorry you are suffering. Deffo go to the docs. I was still vomming at 20 weeks.

Sorry there are so many sickly viroids. You have my sympathies. DP has a cold and I am praying to all the gods that I don't catch it, my last one took 4 weeks to shift!

Christmas party double whammy today. Xmas team lunch followed by division night out. Going to be very boozy. Yay Hmm although I have been told the team Secretary has ordered me non alcoholic cocktails for the evening do which is nice!

I do hope jc, pud and molly are squeezing to get them babies out!
