Ooo poodles this could be it! You obviously give your baby a nice cosy home if you went over last time too!

Im 38+1, midwife booked me in again next week as BP has risen a little since the beginning but she isn't concerned. Just need to remember to leave longer to get to surgery - normally a 2 minute walk, my pelvis is not my friend at the moment, takes nearly 10 minutes with support from DH. Popped into see 95yr old on way home, and she went to help me stand up - it doesn't look good! Anyone else struggling with pelvic pain? (Getting on /off the couch at midwife was an interesting exercise! )

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 07/01/2016 17:25

I had bad pelvic pain in my last pregnancy but managed to avoid it this time, thank God! It really is horrible.

I think these pains are ramping up. Dp not home from work yet and not answering his phone...Hopefully he is on route.

oneconfusedchick · 07/01/2016 18:28

37+2 here - had some cramps and (tmi sorry) loose bowels over last two days. I doubt anything will happen soon though - I was 2 weeks overdue and induced with my first... Still would be happy to have baby now!! Not sure if bowel movements are just down to too much nice food - I've eaten like a pig this pregnancy!

lilyb84 · 07/01/2016 19:13

Ooh exciting poodles, sounds like it could be happening for you! Agree this group needs to catch up with the ladies who migrated to FB Smile

I had my 38 week appointment yesterday and the mw referred me for another growth scan as she measured me at 34cm at 37+5. I'm sure it'll be fine as I'm pretty small and I know my mum had the same with me where I 'stopped growing' towards the end but glad to have the reassurance of the scan anyway.

Baby is at least 1/5 engaged so that was good news - although he's turned back to back so I need to get on with some all fours exercises to try and turn him round before I go into labour!

sweets I hope you're feeling better, I had a stomach bug after Christmas and it was the pits - couldn't eat properly for a week and felt like death.

tinyme135 · 07/01/2016 20:06

we might have our first baby soon :) it's so exciting. hope you're coping poodles 3 days till due date and no sign of the little man :(

vickyors · 07/01/2016 20:13

Poodles I hope this is it for you!

Good luck! I'm due around the 30th, but the previous birth was so complicated afterwards I have lots of bad scar tissue which is still sore, so I think I'll have the c section around the 25th, or possibly the Thursday before (21st..) but consultant will only decide next Thursday when I see him..

Phiz poor you..pelvic pain sucks..

Elvi1 · 07/01/2016 20:41

Yay -go poodles! Sounds like it's the real thing - we will excitedly wait further updates (well, maybe not whilst you are in full blown labour - I'm sure providing us with updates will not be your priority!).

So glad the January club has started up in time for our arrivals - I think would be feeling whole lot nervous/impatient without being able to chat to you guys.

I'm 6 days off due date today. Next mw appointment will be 40 plus 2. Hopefully they will offer me a sweep then if baby hasn't come? Doesn't feel like coming any day soon today and crampiness has gone. Pah!

lilyb84 · 07/01/2016 21:20

They should do elvi, that's what my mw said yesterday - they'll give you the option anyway. I wasn't able to book a 40 week appointment as they've got none available over the next two weeks so there's a chance I might not get another mw appointment!

Phizpop · 07/01/2016 22:18

O lily that's a bit rubbish, what are you to do if you've not delivered by 40 weeks, did they say?
I was offered and took an extra visit next week (39 weeks )as BP a little higher, so hope there is space the following week if baby not arrived. I have a feeling the midwife keeps thinking I'll have delivered before next visit...We shall see. DH birthday next Friday. .. He knows he won't get much attention this year!
Elvi I'm glad the group is back up again, shows we are sitting around and waiting, twiddling our thumbs watching movements and watching for labour signs....

Elvi1 · 07/01/2016 22:52

phizpop my mw seemed to think I won't be coming back for next appointment but think she was just being optimistic! But if she expects you to have the baby before next week, you must be displaying some promising signs!

lily that is rubbish!! I would have thought a 40 week appointment was one of the most important check ups you should have - they should take priority over 16 week appointments which can wait a week or two - I know that wouldn't be nice for those people but those appointments are surely more flexible. When trying to book our 38 week appointment the guy initially said there was nothing but fitted us in. I'm sure there must be something they can do? Even if they book anytime between 40-41 weeks?

lilyb84 · 07/01/2016 23:01

Sounds like your DH could be sharing his birthday at this rate phiz!

They said they'll be in touch about the appointment, I'll give them a call Monday if I haven't heard by then. I'm sure they'll be able to fit me in the following week but since I'll be nearly 41 weeks by then, sooner would be preferable - I'm keen to have a sweep to get things moving and don't want to leave it so late they feel they need to intervene in any other way if there's still no sign of baby!

Glad to see this group up and running again, and just in time for lots of lovely babies Smile

Boosiehs · 07/01/2016 23:07

I'm bored! 37+1 today and only have 12 days till the planned ELCS.

However friend at work who was due two weeks after me had her baby yesterday! So unfair. Wink

Bored bored bored and uncomfortable and Pgp is freakinn agony. Eviction time baby!!!

Elvi1 · 07/01/2016 23:14

Ar I see lily - so they are looking into it, that's good. I wish my appointment was bang on 40 weeks but they couldn't fit me in, seems I was lucky to get something booked for 40 + 2.

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 08/01/2016 00:09

Baby girl Smile 7lbs 4oz born at 9.20pm. Was all quite dramatic, was nearly born before we got to the labour ward. Back to back so she got a bit wedged coming out but we got there. She's perfect.

Boosiehs · 08/01/2016 00:37

She really is lovely. Even if the first thing she did was poo on me!

It was all quite intense. Went from 3cm to 10cm in about 5 minutes then suddenly she was coming Shock gets it over and done with I suppose!
