Just wanted to find out if anyone else is due around January the 19th ☺ and what's going on with their pregnancy ☺ x

OP posts:

I never thought of that. I'll see if I can.

midwife said I need as much sleep as I can but it's so hard when you're in so much pain. it hurts to lie sit and even go to the toilet now. everytime the pain comes in start to shake too. fed up now

Morning - brace yourself for a giant TMI.

Has anyone else's guts turned to (essentially) liquid since about wk 36? I'm 38w today and it's been run-o-Rama for about two weeks now.

I'm taking iron tabs (3 a day) plus folic acid and Vit C, and I can't work out if it's one of them creating this mischief.

Couple that with my "new thing" of galloping heartburn and exorcist style acid reflux (complete with occasional chunks) is it just me or is this just the final glamorous instalment of pregnancy?

Sorry to those eating brekkie. Sad

anneliandbetsy · 15/01/2016 08:38

Toomanysweets same with the tummy scenario. Since around a similar time. It's disgusting. Can't really muster a run as I constantly feel like I've pulled my Fanny muscles when I walk. So it's more like a fast hobble.
38+4 today, and it can only get worse before it gets better.

anneliandbetsy · 15/01/2016 08:38

I stopped taking prenatal vitamins and it's not helped

Elvi1 · 15/01/2016 09:21

Yes - same toilet habits here from around 37-38 weeks. For me it cleared up shortly after.

Oh tiny sounds like had a bad 24 hours, I hope things speed up soon. Flowers

vickyors · 15/01/2016 10:07

2many I feel the heartburn! I'm on ranitidine and it's not even touching it at the moment! Cue pregsomnia coupled with awful acid..

Tiny I hope things move along now you've had another sweep..

Saw midwife today and she said when I (finally) see consultant next week I should push for a date late next week.. Here's hoping!

I know baby is happy, but I'm falling apart! Smile

2ManySweets · 15/01/2016 10:58

vicky good news on the due date update - gx when you find out that adds an element of certainty to things!

Yes, thinking of what tiny must be going though makes my galloping trots seem like nothing but I'm really freaking out that I'll still be rather "squashy" when it comes to the day I give birth adding a whole new element of - well - nervousness to my thoughts about the whole thing.

Was really positive about labour until my guts revolted against me for what's now the third time in three weeks 😢

Sorry for all the poo/bum chat. I'm usually quite refined haha

Rpj16 · 15/01/2016 11:40

sweets
literally crunching on my cereal as I read the TMI post, haha!

I want a water birth, but its the thought of having the D symptoms that are the only thing that put me off. Midwife has said if water gets too 'murky' they will change it. eeeeeww. Think I will risk it just in case.

Elvi1 · 15/01/2016 16:36

Week seems my body isn't ready at all. Mw performed sweep but could barely get fingers in (sorry for tmi) as my cervix is prosterior and barely dilated, so not holding out much hope this is going to work. Booked in for another sweep next Wednesday but can't help feeling disappointed that nothing is likely to happen imminently. Stupid body (mine, not baby's).

Elvi1 · 15/01/2016 16:37

*well not week.

lilyb84 · 15/01/2016 18:45

Don't be disheartened elvi, things can happen quite quickly! And baby will come when baby's ready - probably just needs a little longer to get as much nutrition and relaxation from you as possible before coming out into the world Smile

Sorry for all of you experiencing extended clear outs, not pleasant. I've been okay since the stomach bug I had just after Christmas thankfully but at the time I definitely panicked that I'd go into labour at just the wrong time!

I just finished work, it feels very surreal that baby could be here any time now and that I don't have any emails to check or work stuff to worry about on Monday morning!

vickyors · 15/01/2016 19:16

Congrats on finishing work Lilyb! And no more emails now for a while!

Elvi poor you.. But Lily's right.. Things can happen quickly.. I had about three sweeps with first with no results and it was frustrating..

lilyb84 · 16/01/2016 09:35

How's everyone today? I've had a few what I assume are practise contractions over the last couple of nights. I get really intense pain in my back when baby moves which I assume is him getting engaged, but this was different - much more of a wave of pain in my lower back like period cramps, which built up over a minute or so then eased off. I had maybe three on Thursday night then two on the train home from drinks in East London last night. I'm intrigued to see if they continue today at all! No other signs labour is imminent so I'm guessing I'll be here a while longer yet...

Hope you all have nice relaxing weekends planned!

oneconfusedchick · 16/01/2016 10:09

I've had a few twinges last few weeks which I never had with my first. I was 2 weeks overdue with my first.

Do you know what position your baby is in lily? Midwife told me yesterday mine is back to back but hoping he turns. Reason i mention this is I have heard back to back can mean you labour or have back ache more commonly.

How far along are you? I'm 38+4. My hospital will prob admit me for induction at 40 +12 so at least I have that for an end goal! Only 3 weeks to go till then

lilyb84 · 16/01/2016 11:15

I'm 39+1 - we're all on the home straight now!

Mw told me baby was back to back but a scan last week showed he was on his side which is marginally better Smile My mum said her labours all started in her back as well...

Twinges sound promising confused and good that you have an end date if baby doesn't come before then!

tinyme135 · 16/01/2016 16:10

my little man was born at 4:54 this morning weighing at 8lbs. water's broke at 12:25 this morning then got to hospital for about quarter past one. was a really quick labour

love him to bits
