Exciting! I hope things have progressed further - we are awaiting a further update Smile

dusts off pompoms

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 07:41

they're coming every 3-4 minutes lasting between 45-60 seconds. sometimes there's a bigger break but that's hardly anything now. just had another show and I thought it all came out earlier on haha.

lilyb84 · 14/01/2016 08:29

Thinking of you today tiny, good luck with it all! Can't wait for more baby news....

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 08:48

thank you. I'm just waiting it out at the moment. don't want to go in and be sent home cause I'm not 4cm

oneconfusedchick · 14/01/2016 09:17

Fingers crossed this is it for you!!

Phizpop · 14/01/2016 09:28

How exciting tiny certainly sounds like you are on your way now! All the best

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 09:42

thank you :)

just had another show. my God I thought it'll only be small haha xD

Nousername2015 · 14/01/2016 10:00

tiny! It sounds like everything is moving along nicely for you! Good luck!

Elvi1 · 14/01/2016 12:05

Fingers crossed this is it now tiny!

Is it just me and tiny who are now overdue at the moment? My due date was yesterday and I'm beginning to feel very disheartened. I know I'm hardly overdue but I hoped to go into spontaneous labour and I feel that those chances are diminishing now. I have a mw appointment tomorrow and already worrying that she'll find that body/cervix will show signs of not being ready. I know I'm being silly and loads of women go over and before I was in this position I never quite understood why women worried so much. But i understand now it's more than simply being impatient and feeling uncomfortable, it's wanting your baby to be safe and wanting your body to do what it is supposed to without intervention. Sorry for the moan. Just feeling quite down today.

Phizpop · 14/01/2016 12:39

Sorry to hear you are feeling down Elvi. I've still got 6 days to go, but feeling the same concerns about wanting baby to be safe, and will my body do what it's supposed to. Are you able to go out, meet up with someone, or do something different to take your mind off it a little? I'm currently sewing a cushion cover to distract me a little, tho whether it will still distract me this time next week when I'm where you are is another matter. Flowers and Cake for you!

fourlegstwolegs · 14/01/2016 13:28

Poor Elvi I know how you feel - you get to the stage where you just want them out safe so you have some control over things again - at least that's how I feel. I seem to be getting more paranoid by the day and constantly checking movements. I'm having the entire downstairs of the house repainted this week as a distraction!!!

Elvi1 · 14/01/2016 13:37

Thanks for you support ladies. No-one to go out and meet today but have been dog walking with my aunt every other day which has been nice. I don't really help myself as usually spend the day in bed napping during the day - not because lazy, but cos can't sleep at night. Anyway, have taken myself downstairs and bouncing on my ball whilst catching up on silent witness (nice and jolly ha). Sounds like you are both being more productive than me - sewing and painting! And you are right about having no control...

lilyb84 · 14/01/2016 17:05

Sorry you're feeling that way elvi, after all the early months of saying 'happy for baby to wait until his due date' I'm now totally in the '... but no longer' camp. I hope it's not too much longer for you. Will you be having a sweep at your mw appointment?

Elvi1 · 14/01/2016 17:50

I hope so - I don't recall the mw telling me what will happen as she seemed convinced that I won't make the appointment, but I assumed that they would perform one? I think I will insist on the grounds that clearly they have booking issues at the moment and no point sending me away to come back again when struggling to book people in. The two things I'm worried about is the mw not being able to offer me a sweep for some reason, and not being able to get an appointment cos so busy.

Elvi1 · 14/01/2016 17:51

Cos?? Because!! Text talk - I sound like a teenager!

lilyb84 · 14/01/2016 19:52

They should offer you a sweep - my last mw said they'd do that after the due date. Fingers crossed!

Boosiehs · 14/01/2016 20:01

Don't feel down ladies! ds1 was nearly 2 weeks late. It was annoying but at least I got lots of sleep in advance!

Call the MW and get an apt for a sweep of you want to push things along. And sex does apparently work.......

DS 2 is coming no later than next weds!

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 20:51

I'm still waiting for my LO. I've been having so many massive shows its unreal. I thought it all came out in one go or small gradually. it's disgusting.

oneconfusedchick · 14/01/2016 20:59

Must be frustrating - DS1 was also 13 days late - more than 48 hour induction at 11 days late was slow going!! I don't think he was in a hurry to arrive. I haven't even packed a hospital bag - have packed some bits for baby though, that's how much I feel I won't go into labour any time soon - I am 38+2 today x

fourlegstwolegs · 14/01/2016 21:09

Booshie sleep? Sleep? What's that? Its been so long I have forgotten what it is!

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 22:36

finally gone to hospital. it's gotten too much for me. here's hoping I am in labour xD

Boosiehs · 14/01/2016 22:38

Good luck tiny!!

tinyme135 · 14/01/2016 23:41

been sent home as only 2cm dilated so the sweep worked. they gave me the max I can have of codeine so I can sleep and a tens machine to help with the pain too. tye midwife gave me another sweep to try and quicken it all up for me bless her :)

Rpj16 · 15/01/2016 02:09

Hope its not too much longer for you tiny! Can you get oncall midwife over tomorrow to see how you are doing - save going back into hospital?
