Just wanted to find out if anyone else is due around January the 19th ☺ and what's going on with their pregnancy ☺ x

we finished the nursery on Sat so thought that would kick LO out but nope haha nothing.

this morning I keep getting pains lower down (like where ovaries should be) and inside groin. they're getting a bit more frequent but I'm thinking it's wishful thinking haha xD

I agree it feels like we've been pregnant forever it's never going to happen is it :(

Phizpop · 11/01/2016 10:22

chick I have, as I heard a rumour they are expecting too, I'm sure it won't be a problem. Just typical when you haven't heard from someone for ages!

Am feeling so uninspired today...

fourlegstwolegs · 11/01/2016 20:45

It's boring waiting, isn't it! I've got 10 days to go. Lumbering about like an aged cow and very tired - I wake up all night worrying that I can't feel movements. Stressful....

Nousername2015 · 11/01/2016 21:28

10 days here too. And equally no sleep because of movement paranoia.

Phizpop · 11/01/2016 21:35

Ditto fourlegs and nouser feeling v slow, and sleepless nights over movements (then kept awake by the thwacks it only does in the middle of the night but not every night, then mire worrying...!)

Elvi1 · 11/01/2016 23:05

Sorry to hear that some of you feeling anxious - I mentioned last Monday that I had baby checked out at the maternity assessment unit cos I felt movement had reduced, they monitored me and everything was fine. it really helped to ease my mind and I haven't worried since.

My due date is this Wednesday - I'm definitely going to be late. I'm also not sleeping well at all during the night but managing to nap during the day. I have this strange muscular pain in my groin area - well not pain as such but it feels like I have had a proper work out at the gym exercising my inner groin muscles and now feel very achey - anyone else getting a similar feeling?

Boosiehs · 11/01/2016 23:17

Hi there. Yes having similar pains. Nearly went to get checked out today.

Bad lower back pains, and cramping in the bump. Very painful!!

I am SO fed up! 8 days until the ELCS. Bored bored bored.

Any more babies arriving?

Boosiehs · 12/01/2016 01:41

And now ducking pregnancy insomnia. Oh FML.

tinyme135 · 12/01/2016 07:26

we thought I was in labour last night. having horrible pain every 3 minutes, to be told it's the start of early labour and it could take up to another week till he comes. I'm already 40+2. I just want this baby out now.

Elvi1 · 12/01/2016 08:03

tiny when is your next mw appointment - will you ask for a sweep? When me and the baby was monitored last week they said I was in early labour but mw warned it could develop into nothing/go away. Well 8 days along proves that it hasn't amounted to anything. Very frustrating. I have mw app on Friday at 40+2 so hopefully they will offer me a sweep. Anyone know if this hurts?

tinyme135 · 12/01/2016 09:34

got an appointment tomorrow and she said last time she'll give me the sweep. they said last night I got another 2 cm to go till he's fully dilated.

oneconfusedchick · 12/01/2016 12:28

Something must happen soon then. Last pregnancy I had had two pesseries was 41+5 and still only 1cm! I'm sure u will get to meet your little one soon :)

Rpj16 · 12/01/2016 15:01

Hiya, Can I join in this late on? I think I may have posted early on. Due on 18th, first baby. Convinced he's going to be two weeks late and I will have to be induced, I'm expecting that's what will happen.

Only symptoms I feel are lower back pain all the way down and over hips. But this could be from scrubbing house clean yesterday. And also very leaky left breast last two days. It's the not knowing when! I'm excited rather than nervous about labour (if that make sense!)

Phizpop · 12/01/2016 15:22

Welcome Rpj16 we are all sitting here waiting at the moment...! Although tiny you sound like you are on your way, hope you get to meet your LO very soon!

Rpj16 · 12/01/2016 15:31

Thanks Phizpop :) nice to know theres others waiting!

This sounds naïve but how and who checks how dilated you are? Is it the routing midwife appointment? my next one is at 40+2 (a week tomorrow)

Rpj16 · 12/01/2016 15:53

Oh not nice to know, sorry! I mean its nice not to be alone in waiting! The waiting itself is horrible! I need a t-shirt that says 'I'm due on Monday, I'm fine how are you? no, I don't feel anything happening yet, it's a boy and we haven't decided a name*, and Yes I am excited'
*Except we have decided a name... It's just me and dp want one thing kept for ourselves!

2ManySweets · 12/01/2016 16:44

I feel this thread should be renamed "The Waiting Room" Grin

oneconfusedchick · 12/01/2016 18:36

Haha waiting room good one! I hate the waiting - luckily I've not had too much questioning about having baby yet as I'm 38 weeks out and DS was overdue. I have names but don't really tell anyone esp not family!!

Rpj16 · 12/01/2016 21:08

I start every conversation with 'I'm still pregnant, I think its going to be very late'. I just hope I go into labour in the middle of the night so its peaceful and no one tries to call me! Ooh what names have you got one ? I have one that begins with J and rhymes with cake. haha ;)

oneconfusedchick · 12/01/2016 21:37

I really like the name Billy but I am also a bit of a traditionalist so it would be William. My Husband is not so keen although he has sort of agreed to my second choice - Benjamin so we will see! Haha I get your name :p I wanted that for our first but opted for Jacob as I thought it would be shortened to the name I think you like... so naive as I didn't really realise they are two completely separate names - I call my Son Jacob and can't imagine anything different now!!

x

vickyors · 12/01/2016 21:41

I'm also still waiting, so will join the club! Welcome rpj! I'm mid week 37 and have just got pregnancy insomnia.. Was up for bloomin ages last night. Ugh. Seeing surgeon this Thursday and cannot wait to have a date.. Sorry, tmi, but I'm having a c section because of damage from last birth, and the old site of scarring is so painful! Plus, I've had recurring thrush.

I hear you on the questions as well!!

oneconfusedchick · 12/01/2016 21:52

I am ditto on the pregnancy insomnia I am usually such a good sleeper but keep waking up at night! I do go back to sleep though!

Nousername2015 · 12/01/2016 22:04

Hi everyone, my little boy decided to leave arrive a week early and give us all a nice surprise by coming today! He's just perfect, weighed in at 8lb5oz so god knows what he would have weighed at 40 weeks (I was 38+6 today).

Rpj16 · 12/01/2016 22:44

Congrats Nousername! Ahh 38+6 gives hope that they can be a little early :)

One - Jacob is so nice :) What about shortening Jacob to Coby? I think I love this. We also like Lucas (but pronounced Luka) I'd like something Celtic, but dp doesn't!

What time do you all go to bed to combat insomnia? I try and stay up til about 12.30-1am. Was in bed by 8.30 in 1st trimester. How things change.

Boosiehs · 13/01/2016 00:08

Congratulations!!!! Another one arrived!

I find myself shouting "GET OUT" at my bump. People must think I am mad.

Insomnia is a bitch. Go to bed around 9 then can't sleep. It was 2.30 yesterday! :(
