Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

No Somnambulator, just the gestational sac but from what I've read online it is nearly impossible to see a yolk sac before 5+5 so I'm just happy with the sac looking healthy and being in the right spot. We even got a little photo of it! Grin

Flybynight1, I had some red watery blood the afternoon of the 17th with some stringy brown stuff which is exactly how my periods start and I was 11DPO-ish so that's normal for me. It tapered off into the evening but it was back again in the morning so popped a tampon in and didn't think anything more of it, until I went to change my tampon and there was only the tiniest bit of brown on it. Had a panty liner on so thought I would just monitor it throughout the afternoon and by that evening I had no CM at all. Faintest BFP on Friday morning. A little bit of v light brown creamy CM Monday and Tuesday mornings and nothing since, but went to the GP Wednesday and she said she couldn't see any fresh or old blood and cervix was closed tight, but still referred me to the EPU. No spotting since (except after the roughness of the internal scan this morning Angry) Sorry for the novel, apparently I can't do quick replies Blush

Hi to our newbies, great to see our numbers going up.

I was out at a job today, got more one sided pains so called the EPU and they dated me at 6 weeks tomorrow so moved my scan to the morning just in case! Then I got a call from one of our directors saying he had made a meeting appointment for me to do tomorrow at 10, and was super annoyed when I said I had an appointment. At this rate I'm going to have to tell him earlier than I want, just to get him off my back.

lilygirl81 · 30/11/2015 17:18

Fly I was told before by our surgery that you self refer to the midwives, so just called and said I needed a first appointment. Some surgeries need you to see the GP though, so I would just call up and say you just found out you're pregnant and not sure what appointments you need.

CurlyChick1 · 30/11/2015 18:20

I'm another one with symptoms coming and going. Here's a weird one though. I have a really sore, dry nose which is blocked every morning. Thought it was from central heating but remembered today I had it first time round with dd. Something to do with higher body temperature?! Any one else had this? Salene I also have dd 14 months. Think I remember your name from Sept 13 board.

CurlyChick1 · 30/11/2015 18:26

I mean September 2014...just seems that long ago!

Flybynight1 · 30/11/2015 18:59

Thanks lily Smile I have my first midwife appt on Christmas Eve!! That'll be at 8 weeks. But I'm to pop into the surgery to pick up some sort of pack of stuff? I guess just pamphlets?

Somnambulator · 30/11/2015 19:06

Sorry to be nosey elderberries I had the exact same thing!

lily I hope you manage to keep your appointment. I know what you mean about having to tell colleagues. It's so hard when it can affect your job in so many ways. I'm just about to start a job with lots of standing and night shifts, not looking forward to it. Also not sure if I can claim I need to have regular seated breaks at such an early stage of pregnancy :)

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 30/11/2015 19:14

Hi all

Alfie, 27, DC1, Aberdeenshire - so that makes three of us! I found out yesterday but still early, think I am 4 weeks today. EDD should be the 8th Aug.
I'm thinking about arranging an early scan too so I can hopefully tell family around Christmas.

Flybynight1 · 30/11/2015 19:20

Hi Alfie! The ARI isn't going to know what hit it come August Grin

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 30/11/2015 19:39

There must be something in the water up here. Or maybe it's that recent bad weather?!

Flybynight1 · 30/11/2015 19:49

Hahaha!! Grin have you made any appointments yet? I just booked mine today-my surgery are so busy they couldn't see me before 4 weeks time so just as well I rang early!!

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 30/11/2015 20:02

No I was a bit nervous about calling as my period was due today so I technically haven't missed it yet. I should call though, I've made Wenesday the day in my head. I'll do another test then ring. Do you have to see the gp or midwife first?

Flybynight1 · 30/11/2015 21:02

My surgery has put me straight through to the midwife appt, but they wouldn't see me before 8 weeks (even if they weren't so busy!!). I would be interested in finding out how you get a private early scan though?

I'm quite crampy tonight :-( we had a large dinner and I think some is gas/bloat but I'm getting paranoid!!

Salene · 30/11/2015 21:25

Curly that will have been me

Oh I'm Aberdeenshire too ha ha , is there a few from this way on here, how weird Smile

Salene · 30/11/2015 21:28

Alfie just ring and ask to make 8 week appointment with MW which will be 4 weeks past your missed period date, they don't bother seeing you to confirm pregnancy before that unless you really want to as they say shop bought preg tests are so acurate these days. So you can just ring and make your booking in appointment

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 30/11/2015 21:30

I think me, fly and lily are all Aberdeenshire if I read the thread properly! I've had a few cramps too, I'm sure it's all normal. Easy to worry though, I've been knicker checking all day 🙈.
Hope your scan goes well tomorrow lily!

Salene · 30/11/2015 21:38

Fly you can get early scan on queens road in Aberdeen from 7 weeks at this place I've used them before

lilygirl81 · 30/11/2015 22:43

lilygirl81 · 30/11/2015 22:44

I just realised how many of us are in Aberdeenshire, we should definitely have a meet up at some point! The weather must have been bad in November, we all took to bed Wink

BergamotMouse · 01/12/2015 07:28

Morning all,

There's always so many posts when I wake up in the morning - you must all be doing a better job of staying awake than me. I've been in bed for 8 the past 2 nights.

I've woken up feeling queasy this morning. Having to take lots of deep breaths. I'm 5+5 so getting to the point that morning sickness is supposed to start. I'm absolutely dreading it.

MissClarke86 · 01/12/2015 07:53

Poor you Bergamot Sad

I think the thought of morning sickness makes me panic and feel sick even though I've not actually got it yet! I teach so I'm really scared of feeling sick in the classroom, it's too high energy to have time for feeling ill! And the toilets the other side of the building...

I'm 6 weeks today but nothing yet, though I was off my food last week.

BergamotMouse · 01/12/2015 08:13

I'm a teacher too MissClarke and shouldn't just leave the room. I'll have to though if I feel ill. Thankfully the staff/disabled toilet is just outside my classroom so can rush out if needed.

I'm currently writing reports with one eye shut as it's too hard to look at the screen otherwise.

Are you primary or secondary? I'm secondary in a nice school which I think makes it easier to abandon them mid lesson.

MissClarke86 · 01/12/2015 08:17

I'm primary (year 2) in a challenging area. My class are wonderful but I still don't think id be able to function if I felt sick! It'd be okay in an environment where you could just sit quietly near the lol and not talk lol

I'm on a course today, just out a top on and I wear all the time and it feels really tight 😫 I haven't put on any weight so it must be the boobalons!
