squiggle when you get your hand held notes pack thing from your doctor or mw the forms are already in there so you can get the info you need before the appointment. I'm sorry your "d"p is being an arse, it's the last thing you need!

Wordbird there is a list of abbreviations hanging about somewhere, I will try and find them for you.

Christine I think the critical week for mat pay is week 20, as long as you are employed on that date you'll get your stat mat pay. Do you think you can stick it out until then? Maybe they would let you transfer somewhere bigger? Last time I felt like everything changed when I went back to work, my priorities had completely changed. I didn't stay long tbh. Now I run a small fledgling business with a friend which is starting to take off like wordbird. I'm a bit worried about it, but we'll work something out.

PickleBot · 18/12/2015 19:43

Doh! wordbird if you go to the top of the page under where it says mumsnet talk there is a list of links and the acronyms link is there.

I hope it works out okay Milly x

FourForYouGlenCoco · 18/12/2015 19:54

Welcome Bird and squiggle!
squiggle the only things you need to know re: the dad is whether or not he or his immediate family has any genetic disorders, sickle cell anaemia or thalassemia, any babies born with congenital problems, aaand I think that's about it! Basically if there's any genetic issues that might be affect your baby.
Milly I'll keep everything crossed for you, so hope it all works out. How far along are you now? Did they see a heartbeat? I found some semi-reassuring stats when I was waiting for my scan which suggested that once you see a heartbeat, the odds are fairly good even with bleeding. Really hope you're one of the lucky ones.

I feel so incredibly nauseous! Am sure it wasn't this bad with DD, I felt pretty rank with her but it was fairly manageable if I ate regularly and such. This is just neverending! Have eaten a ridiculous amount of toast today as just can't stomach anything else. Forgot what hard work this bit was! It was much better by 2nd tri with DD so will just hold on for a few more weeks! At this point I'm wondering if actually throwing up would be a bit of relief from this constant sickness Envy

Rosa89 · 18/12/2015 20:16

Hi everyone, can I join please?
Due 22nd August. Bit of an unexpected pregnancy as DD is 11months and I didn't expect to get pregnant so soon!
No pregnancy symptoms here and I didn't have any with my DD so won't be surprised if I'm just one of those people who doesn't get symptoms (apart from the missing period Wink)

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 18/12/2015 20:27

I am on holiday! Thank goodness for that. I am also a large fan of bread at the moment. Not that anything else has made me feel particularly I'll it's just that bread feels like the right thing to eat.
I just ate a whole baguette with butter for my tea.
Congrats and welcome to the newbies!
Sorry ringer some of us are not having an easy time of it just now. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Rosa89 · 18/12/2015 20:39

Hope you're doing OK Milly, fingers crossed for you here too.

Mrs1986 · 18/12/2015 21:35

You would think that carrying three babies I would be as sick as a dog but am absolutely fine. I've not got much of an appetite though! Having juice and toast mainly.

I've been googling what the pregnancy could be like, and have scared myself silly. I don't think I'll be doing that again! It is going to be a tough ride though that is for sure!!

Dileas29 · 18/12/2015 22:44

Amazing news Mrs! It's perfectly natural to google everything and also to be worried sick.
Speaking of sick I am that, constantly! Urgh also feel just being sick would help, and that it would justify how I feel to prove to my husband! Does that make sense? Going through a lot with DD1 at the moment being unwell and in hospital so worried the effects of this on unborn baby too. Trying to keep blood pressure down

Comforting reading all comments

SeriousStuff · 19/12/2015 00:03

Smilie this sounds exactly like me last weekend. Blood stained discharge and some red blood on its own on and off for 4 days. Had an early scan, they could see something but no heartbeat (might just be because it's too early).

I'm now waiting for a second scan on 29th and still testing every few days with the clear blue one that tells you the number of weeks, just to check if it's going up or down...so far it's the same.

I go from being really positive about it because have had no cramps and no more blood since Sunday, but then have moments when I accept that I've just lost it. Thank goodness for the Christmas distraction! But just wanted to say I know exactly what you're going through so am hear to lend an ear and a hand x

SeriousStuff · 19/12/2015 00:04

Mrs that is crazy but also wonderful!

Christinedonna · 19/12/2015 01:05

Up at this time throwing my guts up. There a little bits of red blood when I'm my sick, should I be worried about that?

PipeDownSmallFry · 19/12/2015 07:13

Morning everyone, can I join? Got my bfp yesterday, couldn't quite believe it after 6 months of ttc, but tested again this morning and it's still there, hurrah, due around 26th August but am type 1 diabetic so will be earlier than that.

Isthereeverarightime1 · 19/12/2015 08:11

This thread moves so quickly I posted and it's moved on about 7 pages Grin
I'm feeling more nausea this time than I did with my son, before it was when I was hungry but this time seems a lot more frequent Sad I feel totally exhausted and can already feel the water retention around my legs and face so feel massive already!
We have friends over today and we decided not to tell them so it's going to difficult to be myself when I feel like shit!
Congratulations to Mrs1986 wow, how are you feeling about three babies? Sorry I haven't read the full thread!
Congratulations to all those who just got bfp Flowers

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 19/12/2015 08:28

christine if you have been sick a lot it could be that you damaged your throat lining a little bit. Keep an eye on it and maybe phone NHS 24 for advice if you are worried.

SimileMilly · 19/12/2015 09:34

I think I'm out. Will know for sure on Tuesday but between blood tests and the amount I'm bleeding/cramping now I'm prepared for the worst.

Thank you all for your support and I wish you all happy, healthy and successful pregnancies.

BunchOfBobs · 19/12/2015 09:42

Oh similie, I hope not but so sorry if it is. Be kind to yourself.

OwlinaTree · 19/12/2015 09:49

Sorry simile. Thinking of you

Jw35 · 19/12/2015 09:49

Milly I'm so sorry Thanks

Wow this group is growing! I've got an 11 month old too, although she's one on Tuesday.

Lots of headaches here, fatigue and very nauseas. I'm 7.3 today

OwlinaTree · 19/12/2015 09:51

V tired here too. Went out with one of my best friends last night. She guessed straight away I was pg as I was driving and I'm a big drinker!

Christinedonna · 19/12/2015 10:01

So I finished work at 23:00 last night and was throwing up until the early hours of this morning. Due to that when I finally fell asleep I slept through my alarms and have now missed work. My boss is going to love me

LilyMyOneAndOnly · 19/12/2015 11:07

Hi everyone, can I join you? Got my bfp last Sunday, I'm 5.0 today and due 20 August! Spent the last few days catching up on all of your posts.. It's pretty fast moving here!

DH and I decided to start ttc in July, but he works offshore/nearshore all over the world and is away for about 8 weeks at a time so this was our first propper attempt.. and we got lucky :)

I've not really had any symptoms so far, the odd twinge and like some of you I have totally gone off sweet food which is so unlike me (total Ben and Jerrys fiend usually) all I want atm is salty snacks.. DH is making sure I eat lots of fruit and veg too dear of him :) Just trying to enjoy eating and fitting in my clothes for now.. Expect that will all change in the next few weeks!

We have decided to not tell anyone until after our 12 week scan.. It's quite nice keeping it as our little secret, but already running out of not drinking excuses! I called my drs surgery last Monday and the receptionist said I didn't need to see the GP and a midwife would call me when I'm about 6 weeks to arrange my first appointment. Went in to pick up a maternity pack but they had run out.. So getting all my info from Mumsnet and the Ovia app - apparently today it's the size of a peppercorn

Jw35 · 19/12/2015 11:18

Welcome Lily and congrats! I had no symptoms at 5 weeks either..by 6.5 I was sick as a pig! I'm currently eating cornflakes plain to try and keep sickness away!

Think I might be bowing out of this thread too...massive gush of bright red blood and a couple of clots. Seems to have died down a bit but not holding out much hope. We are out in town too having a shopping day for me as my Xmas treat, brilliant timing! Had to do an emergency dash to boots for urinary incontinence pads Grin we are staying out and making the best of it but poised to dash home if bleeding gets too heavy!

BunchOfBobs · 19/12/2015 12:56

Oh Coco I really hope not. Take it easy. Is it worth going to the epu?

Christinedonna · 19/12/2015 12:57

Oh bless you Coco! Have you not planned a doctors appointment? Or maybe buy a test while you're out? Fingers crossed for you!
