Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Somnambulator it honestly does get better! By about 14-16 weeks with DD I felt like myself again and loved every single second of pregnancy from then on right up til I was about 35/36 weeks and started feeling tired and fat and waddly. She obligingly came at 40+1 so I didn't have too long of the knackering end bit! I'm 7+6 today too incidentally Smile

SimileMilly · 17/12/2015 21:39

I'm bleeding. Pinkish-red when I wipe. Getting redder but not heavier. Phoned EPU who will phone back in morning if no worse and poss arrange early scan but I can't shake this horrible feeling of dread.

Morwenna1 · 17/12/2015 22:04

Fingers crossed for you Milly...that's good it's not getting heavier?

Glencoco I was advised that I could have the jab if I wanted it, but current guidelines state to wait 12 weeks and that this is a recent change. The nurse had to double check with the Chief Nurse in the practice. So yes, all being well I'll be going back at 12 weeks. Apparently even though there has been no evidence of harm before 12 weeks, it's not a conclusive study and this has been deduced from people who have had the jab but weren't aware they were pregnant (rather than a control group). She said she wouldn't recommend it personally and that if anything happens, at least you know it's down to natural causes and not something that you've done that might have caused problems.

But she also said, another nurse down the road might have no problem recommending it! Clear as mud. I decided to take her advice and hope I don't fall ill over the break.

Good luck with the night shifts Somnambulator! Flipping heck!

Mrs1986 · 17/12/2015 22:11

Okaaaay, I have news.

I cried my little eyes out when the sonographer said "there's the little heart beating away"

Then, she found another one! Two heart beats!

DH turned white, and the sonographer started fussing over him before coming back to me to check it all again.

When she checked again she found a third baby, with a third heartbeat!

I am carrying two identical babies, and one separate baby in a separate sac.

Measuring 7+1. I can honestly say I have never felt shock like this. I went in there fully prepared for no heartbeat, and came out with 3!

I am going to need a lot of help!!!!

Flybynight1 · 17/12/2015 22:21

Millie got my fingers crossed for you! Hope it's nothing to worry about xx

Mrs that is unbelievable!! Congratulations 3 times over!! Does your family have a history of multiples? It's amazing news! You didn't just get your one heartbeat after all Grin

BunchOfBobs · 17/12/2015 22:22

Oh my goodness Mrs. That's fantastic news you have three beating hearts but oh my gosh you must be shocked right now.
What a surprise. I'm smiling away here but your emotions must be all over the place. Huge congratulations. Was it ever suspected with a family history of multiples?

PickleBot · 17/12/2015 22:29

Mrs that's pretty amazing, and shocking for you I expect! How exciting!

SimileMilly · 17/12/2015 22:31

It seems to be easing off slightly now. DP is staying in our flat tonight to try and get it sorted for new tenants at the start of January so I don't know if I should ask him to come home or not. I just don't know how to feel - trying to prepare for the worst but equally trying to be hopeful. I phoned my mum and cried and she told me she has very heavy bleeds with 2/3 of us and everything turned out okay. I really really hope I get offered a scan tomorrow.

Mrs wow! That's incredible, how are you feeling about it?

Mrs1986 · 17/12/2015 22:31

Well I do have twins in my family so when she said twins I honestly wasn't surprised. When she said three though my legs turned to jelly and I felt sick!
My husband cried his eyes out when we got home!

we weren't planning in saying anything until January but I think we are gonna need some supportive encouragement to get our heads round it!
Will tell my family this weekend.

Do you think now that I have seen three heartbeats that I have a higher chance of at least one of these pregnancies being OK??

Somnambulator · 17/12/2015 22:49

Wow mrs 3 heartbeats!! I think I would be near to passing out with that news. How amazing!

simile I think if you need your DP to be near there is no harm in calling. I know it's hard not to worry but around 1/4 women have bleeding during pregnancy. I hope everything turns out okay.

Vipergirl · 17/12/2015 22:57

hello
I feel a bit earlyish I am not due until the end of August! It's my first and is slightly unplanned but we are delighted nonetheless! I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed, mostly due to the fact that in the last week we've not only found out we are expecting but that our landlord wants our house back so have had to find somewhere else to live too! Very excited about being pregnant and thankfully no symptoms other than tiredness and being emotional so far! My DP has a nearly three year old DD who I adore - just need to work out how I stop her jumping on my stomach for fun!
Look forward to getting to know you all!

quitecrunchy · 17/12/2015 23:17

Hello, mind if I join in too? I'm at 4 weeks today, estimated due date of 25th August, so I'm quite late on too.

Got my BFP on Sunday and have been trying to get around to catching up with the rest of the thread before introducing myself but progress is slow as I keep distracting myself googling pregnancy things. Nice to see there are a few other quinies on here from NE Scotland (I'm in Angus, work in Aberdeen). This is my first, and so far I'm much more chilled out than I thought I would be. We'll see how long that lasts!

Mrs - wow, just WOW! What a rollercoaster day you and DH must've had!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 17/12/2015 23:43

Hello, welcome and congratulations viper and crunchy ! Lovely to see you here Smile
And mrs - bloody hell! Just wow! I was completely shocked reading that so god knows how you and DH must be feeling right now! I'm in bed ready to drop off but couldn't not comment! What are the odds, just amazing!

MrsSantaClause · 18/12/2015 07:11

Wow Mrs! That's amazing news!! I guess they'll be monitoring you a bit more with it being a multiple pregnancy will they? How exciting! Thanks

Mrs1986 · 18/12/2015 07:44

I was in shock yesterday, I was sacred but thinking of the positives. But I didn't get a wink of sleep, and I have woken up in tears. I am so scared! I mean that genuinely. I don't think I've ever really felt fear before. I am scared for my health, their health, we have 0 family nearby, we won't be able to afford 3 sets of childcare fees. We both commute 40 miles, we usually have 3/4 holidays per year, will we have any time for each other? Will I ever sleep again? How is my body actually gonna cope? Will they all be Ok? What are their chances of surviving?
I'm in tears as I write this, can't wait to tell my family, I feel so lonely!

Colabottle10 · 18/12/2015 08:05

Crikey - 3! I have no words of wisdom, and am probably only a third of your scaredness, but deep breaths, all will be well.

Quitecrunchy - we have the same due date and we found out on the same day!

SimileMilly · 18/12/2015 08:06

Hi viper and crusty

Big big hugs mrs All of those worries seem perfectly normal and I'd be feeling the exact same as you.

DP came home last night in the end. Bleeding still there. It seems heavy but only when I wipe if that makes sense? If I've not had a call back by 11 I'm going to phone them myself I think. I'm not going to work today, which I feel awful about as I've never had a sick day, but I know there's no way I can sit in my office and not cry.

Biscuitswithtea · 18/12/2015 08:24

Oh Mrs Hugs. And congratulations :)

It's a massive thing to get your head around. You will cope. And you will sleep again, I promise. We have no family near by either and whilst the first 6-12m with ds were hard hellish at times (he had bad reflux, only got properly better after he turned 2) what we realise now is that we are more resilient parents (and prob as a couple too if I'm honest) as a result.
If your employers do the childcare voucher scheme, start doing that as soon as possible (I don't think you can do it whilst pregnant but defo while on mat leave)
You'll be monitored to the hilt with triplets so there will be plenty of people keeping an eye on you and the babies.

It will be okay. And you have months to prepare and get your heads round it :)

Mrs1986 · 18/12/2015 08:43

Thanks ladies, your posts are exactly what I need to hear. Plus some hugs from my mum would be brill! I can't wait to see her tomorrow!!
I have booked myself a GP appointment for 11:20 so I can go there and cry!

Flybynight1 · 18/12/2015 08:53

mrs i can imagine you are going through all sorts of emotions right now!! Stay strong, you WILL cope with whatever is thrown at you xx

Welcome crunchy and viper!!

Need some reassurance here-I've been having cramps all night. they started right in the middle of my belly (womb location ish) last night then tailed off and now are spreading all around my abdomen and through to my hips. It doesn't feel good. Not mega strong but I can definitely feel them. And this morning I noticed a tinge of brown in my cm. I've got the midwife on Wednesday for my booking in-should I be contacting her with these symptoms now? I am so anxious with it all! Thankfully I'm off work today as so tired and feeling a very crappy :-(

ToElleWithIt · 18/12/2015 08:56

Wow Mrs congratulations. I can understand how you must feel a bit overwhelmed, but how exciting. An instant family!

Milly hope you're okay. Have you an appointment today?

FourForYouGlenCoco · 18/12/2015 09:05

Milly sorry, you've been a bit ignored in the triplets excitement!
It's good that the bleeding isn't too bad and not getting any worse. I'm not going to tell you that everything will definitely be ok, but I had red bleeding this time round and all seems ok! And without getting too graphic, both times I've actually miscarried (1st was straight to ERPC) it was unmistakeable. I'll spare you the details but there is a massive difference between MC and a bit of pregnancy spotting so hopefully yours is the latter! You should be offered a scan. Good luck today!
Likewise fly cramps are really normal, terrifying I know but normal! Don't forget everything is stretching like never before. It's prob just bubs bedding in and getting comfy!

Jw35 · 18/12/2015 09:09

Wow Mrs! I can't believe it, 3 babies! Oh my! Hopefully all will be well with all 3. Is it your first pregnancy? (Trying to imagine coping with my toddler and multiples)!

Fly I don't know about the cramping and brown blood but apparently brown blood is ok. Not sure what you should do but hugs x
Milly hope you're ok. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about, fingers crossed for you x

Welcome new bfp's! I'm 7.2 today and have my first doctor appointment this afternoon. Very nauseas, gone off all sweet things and constant mild headache and terrible fatigue. Hate the first trimester!

Christinedonna · 18/12/2015 09:09

Mrs that's amazing!! Congratulations. Atleast you know you won't be bored anytime soon!

It's funny that you wrote that, I read it briefly last night literally just as a realisation hit me that twins run in my family. Every generation has a set, I found out I was pregnant so early but I felt so pregnant. My HCG level is higher than what the scans are saying and I already have so many symptoms. My boobs grew 2 sizes and kill, I was an emotional mess before I even found out, morning sickness has now hit me like a train, and all of the other little symptoms like being so hot, bloated, not being able to sleep etc. We've know for almost 3 weeks now and yesterday the scan person said I'm about 5 weeks. For all of this to happen so fast makes me think it's not just a normal pregnancy

BergamotMouse · 18/12/2015 09:41

Wow, 3 heart beats Mrs. What huge news! You'll cope just fine!

Sorry to hear those going through worrying times. I hope everything works out.

I couldn't keep anything down yesterday. Was being sick every 15 minutes so ended up in hospital on a drip and an anti sickness injection in my bum (the most painful injection ever). Feeling much better now and have tablets to take for the foreseeable future which will hopefully stop the vomiting. I might even be able to shower today!
