Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Think I spoke to soon saying I've managed to miss getting ill! Also feeling especially sick today but I seem to when I have a hospital appointment. I'm not nervous, I don't get nervous. Maybe I am and don't realise?😂 But anyway. Scan today at 11:20 if I manage to scrape myself out of bed

Christinedonna · 17/12/2015 09:26

It happened! First time I've thrown up. That kebab with chilli sauce burnt so much more on the way up! First time I've treated myself and actually managed something other than bread or orange juice and now thoroughly regret it.

FourForYouGlenCoco · 17/12/2015 09:26

Haha Elle love that we're all in the same boat re: sleeping! An emperor bed sounds amazing, we're supposed to be putting our house on the market in spring (eek!) so will be looking out a new bed once we're moved!
Good luck today Christine and to you too Mrs1986, will keep fingers crossed for you both. So hope all will be well for you both and you both see little happy babies in there!

Christinedonna · 17/12/2015 09:28

Thank you GlenCoco the fingers are firmly crossed!!

SeriousStuff · 17/12/2015 10:32

Good luck with your scan Christine!

WWYD - my next scan isn't until 29th and it is driving me mad. Do you think the hospital where my parents live (where we will be over Christmas) might scan me earlier? Is it worth asking or am I being completely neurotic?!

Mrs1986 · 17/12/2015 11:52

Thank you. I will let you know how scan goes tonight.
Had midwife appointment this morning. She was lovely, I was dreading her telling me all of the weight related problems I might experience but she just said I should take extra folic acid (gave me a prescription) and have my diabetes blood test in a few weeks!
For the first time ever, I think I feel pregnant. I hope she hasn't got my hopes up only for them to be dashed tonight... We'll soon see x

Christinedonna · 17/12/2015 11:59

So they can see the yolk sac but it's too early to see anything in it. Going by my periods I should be 7+1. They think I'm between 4-5 weeks. This is going to be a looong pregnancy

smellsofelderberries · 17/12/2015 13:04

I've started bleeding more. Still not in pain (but do have cramps and that 'heavy' period feeling) and it's not much blood but it's very slowly getting heavier. I went to my booking in appointment but started crying as soon as they called me in so didn't actually have the appointment as she didn't want me to go through everything if I'm loosing it. I feel kind of resigned to it- I have had a bad feeling about the pregnancy for weeks so the fact that I'm finally bleeding is almost a relief. It means the waiting is over. I'm really fucking angry and upset, but at least glad my body is doing what it needs to. I'm going to bow out of here if that's okay. Hope you all have a happy and healthy remainder of your pregnancies.

Christinedonna · 17/12/2015 13:07

elderberries I'm so sorry to hear that! Really hope we see you back in a few days saying everything's fine! Take care of yourself

Jw35 · 17/12/2015 13:15

Elderberriesthanks] I'm so sorry. Christine that's odd but hopefully all is well. Good luck with these early scans, I don't think I could do it! Much rather see the baby and heartbeat etc at 12 weeks!

I'm so sick literally no food appeals to me at all at the moment. Also so emotional! I was at a toddler group Xmas party and my dd is going to be one on Tuesday. They normally ask who's birthday it is and sing and bring out a cake and candle but with all the excitement nobody did and I had to go outside because I was trying not to cry! I'm such a wreck! Luckily I mentioned it and they sang! As if she even cares! Grin

SmellBerry - I'm so glad you mentioned that your symptoms disappeared at 5 weeks! (IYSWIM) I'm 5+2 and had an appt with the nurse this morning for a flu jab. Apparently they don't advise it's done until 12 weeks now (the guidelines have just changed, they didn't tell me that over the phone when I booked it!). I've been so emotional all morning as for the last few days I've not had much going on, so started worrying. She did help to put my mind at rest. It's just a waiting game really...she said that I must be pregnant as I keep crying! Blush I hope all goes well for your scan on Friday!

I have booked a private scan for 8 weeks so that will be after Christmas. Fingers xd it all works out for me to have that in the New Year. So looking forward to talking to my Mum about everything (waiting till Xmas to tell the rents and in laws!) Hopefully she'll be able to help put my mind at rest.

Interesting to read different viewpoints on the scans and tests for Downs etc. Haven't decided what to do about that.

Morwenna1 · 17/12/2015 13:25

Aw, Elderberries - I just saw your latest post! Flowers Thinking of you Sad x

Jw35 · 17/12/2015 13:58

I think the test for downs is standard now. When I was pregnant last year I had my 12 week scan and was told to wait in the waiting room for the blood test. I didn't do it mainly because there was a huge queue! I wasn't bothered about knowing

elderberries I'm so sorry, it's so bloody wanky and unfair. Look after yourself. Flowers

Jw your DD is a sweetie pie! But yes she looks totally unbothered by cake & singing, haha! I feel you on the sickness, I can actually eat most things but the thought of everything makes me feel like I'm going to chuck. (Haven't actually done it yet though.) And I find that being hungry makes me feel sick, at which point nothing sounds good, so I don't want to eat...catch 22! Currently demolishing a whole pizza after a 3-hour drive back from my MIL's. It's sooooo good I'm actually considering putting another one in the oven Blush
Morwenna did they do the jab in the end or do you have to go back after 12 weeks? Exciting news about your scan! Something to look forward to Smile

Mrs1986 · 17/12/2015 15:31

berries I am so sorry to hear this, there may still be some hope although I know it doesn't feel that way. Look after yourself xx

lilygirl81 · 17/12/2015 16:03

Elderberries I am so sorry for what you are going through, take care of yourself X

JW emotions are horrendous now aren't they, completely over the top

GlenCoco I feel much the same, DH was out last night and I ordered salt and chilli chicken with chips, managed to eat a decent portion, then spent the rest of the night farting like never before. So glad it was just the dog and I in!!

PourMeSomethingStronger · 17/12/2015 16:10

Oh berries, hope you are ok. Thinking of you xx

Mrs1986 · 17/12/2015 16:35

Christine I must have missed your earlier message somehow.
At least we all now know that yolk is good.
From m LMP I am 6+6 today, I'm pretty sure I conceived on 12th November which would be exactly 5 weeks ago.

Jw35 · 17/12/2015 16:37

Thank you GlenCo! I'm 7.1 today and very sick!

OP posts:
Christinedonna · 17/12/2015 17:11

She said there's no need to scan until 12 weeks as we know it's fine but offered another scan next week if I wanted to see the heartbeat which I of course accepted

Flybynight1 · 17/12/2015 18:54

Who else is just feeling really FAT?!?

This week (week6) I think I've put on about 4-5lbs?!?! I am soooo bloated and am drinking like a horse which I think is just sitting in my body. It's soooo gross!!! Tips?? I don't think it's helping that I'm craving salty food so that will be adding to my water retention...

Flybynight1 · 17/12/2015 19:05

berries sorry I just saw your post. So so so sorry, take care of yourself xxx

ToElleWithIt · 17/12/2015 19:09

Oh elderberries I'm so sorry. That's really rough and lousy timing.

Somnambulator · 17/12/2015 20:37

elderberries My thoughts are with you at this scary time. Hoping that everything turns around for you.

I have not said hello for a little while. Exciting to see all the new scan pictures.

I've ended up going to work today but had to leave straight away, just too unwell to work on my feet today, having rough nights with sickness. My boss was lovely and very understanding. Just hate taking sick leave! This is my first pregnancy, does anyone have any encouraging stories of sickness and exhaustion clearing?

7+6 today, however scan last week put me a couple of days ahead of this.

Working 12 hour night shifts in A&E next week over Christmas. Needless to say am feeling a little sorry for myself. Honestly feel like I could spend a week in bed!

Plain pasta is the meal of choice at the moment. Oh and lots of oranges Smile
