Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Yes they said now they have seen a sac an ectopic is highly unlikely as it would have to be a twin pregnancy with one stuck in the tube which is very rare. The terms they are using at the moment are 'potentially unviable' and 'sub optimal results' all very clinical. Sad thing is I am having symptoms which as my HCG is present and rising I probably would anyway. Friday seems like a lifetime away. Date wise I know the definite window of possibility for conception which narrows it down

Elljaye78 · 14/12/2015 16:57

Glenco I have been reading through the thread and so relieved for you 😀

Serious I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Everything crossed for you x

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 16:58

Oh yeah of course if the sacs there. Sounds like there's a few babies on this thread that are going to grow up to be right little pain in the bums!

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 17:06

Hello everyone!

Cannot believe I am actually posting on this thread as this pregnancy has come as a complete shock and surprise!

I'm due August 10 so hope I'm allowed to join this thread?

It's still sinking in. We weren't trying at all! Already have DS who is two at Christmas.

Nearly six weeks gone and just starting to feel sick/knackered/ food cravings. Slept for 2 hours Sat afternoon!

Booked in for doc appointment for Jan 19.

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 17:16

Congratulations toffee boffin! We had a good week of shock so I know exactly how you feel! I'm still so jealous of everyone that only had/has a few symptoms! But I suppose the grass is always greener as everyone with none or not as many would get a lot of reassurance by symptoms. A day off would be nice though! I don't know how to describe it but someone please read my mind and tell me what it is. It's like a really uncomfortable burp (but NOT) sitting in my throat that pops up and makes me feel sick. Is that acid reflux?

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 17:21

Thanks, Christine

Yup, I think it's acid.

Or heartburn. Maybe try Tums?

Wombat87 · 14/12/2015 17:22

Hello all. I may be a bit late... But I'm just throwing in a bean bag to get a seat. Im currently at the docs surgery, about 5+5 waiting to see the GP. Had all sorts of weird pains, twinges and some bleeding over the last week (after sex). All sorts of things going through my mind right now - mainly fear of endometriosis, retroverted womb and ovarian cysts causing an ectopic pregnancy. I booked a private 6 week scan for Wednesday to check the location of pregnancy. After that I think I'll leave it in the hands of the gods till the 12 week scan. But I would be due around 11th August Smile

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 17:23

I could have killed for a day off today. Felt sick and tired - but actually a bit pleased too as not had morning sickness until now.

I don't think DH really believes me yet as I haven't been barfing everywhere!

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 17:24

I thought heart burn was literally your chest hurting? Naive of me? It's horrrrible! Il try anything😷

smellsofelderberries · 14/12/2015 17:24

HOORAY Coco!! That's such fantastic news!!

Elljaye78 I don't, but the fact that they found a sack in the right spot is good news. When was your last scan and how far along were you?

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 17:24

Hi, Wombat!

Congrats Grin

Think you're due at the same time as me!

toffeeboffin · 14/12/2015 17:25

Heart burn feels like your stomach/oespogus (sp?) is on fire. Horrid.

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 17:27

No it's definitely in the back of my throat. Il look into what might help

Elljaye78 · 14/12/2015 17:31

The last scan was on 8th December. They said the sac was measuring about 5 weeks. My dates put me at between 5+4 and 6+2 at that point. I don't think I can be far wrong with the fm date range given we only did the deed once that could have resulted in this pregnancy

AlfieTheRailwayCat · 14/12/2015 17:57

coco excellent news I'm so pleased for you. Will you tell your OH now?

fly happy 6 weeks to you too! Although mine was slightly marred by feeling so horrible this morning.

I've decided I need a cold breakfast with no milk. Cereal bar tomorrow I think. Once I dragged myself up and dressed I did feel better. I'm determined to make it to Friday then I have two weeks off anyway.

christine that's defs heartburn get thee some rennies!

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 18:17

Welcome Toffee and Wombat!

Try not too worry Elljay most people don't get their hgc levels checked so it's hard to say if we're similar but they are rising which is a good sign x

FourForYouGlenCoco · 14/12/2015 18:27

welcome toffee and wombat - wombat hope your dr's appt went well!
Alfie yes I finally feel confident enough to tell DH - he works away all week but as luck would have it we're staying with my MIL down south this week so will be seeing DH tomorrow! Am going to put the scan pic in an Xmas card for him Smile
Ellijay will keep everything crossed it all works out for you, it sounds like things are developing at a normal rate so far despite the hcg numbers - so maybe you're just one of these people whose levels don't quite fall in line with 'normal' and all will be fine!

alduxbury · 14/12/2015 18:47

Glencoe, SUCH good news. I'm so thrilled for you!! Hopefully you can breathe a sigh of relief now, enjoy Christmas and get prepped for the twelve weeker in January.

I've been convincing myself I don't feel pregnant "enough" (whatever that means) but went to my mum and dads for lunch yesterday and demanded potato waffles and beans as I didn't want what they were cooking (they know, thank god) and at some point yesterday started with a really bad cough, which kept me up all night and has been a nightmare today. Turns out I'm like an actual zombie tonight - the extra burden on top of pregnancy stuff has just re-established how not on top form I am. I've barely done any work all day and I'm a tough cookie - haven't had a sick day in years etc.

We must all remember that at the moment, according to our bodies we don't matter - baby does and remember to act accordingly.

To that end, OH is currently making tea whilst I sit and watch the evening news (which never happens!)

Grace893 · 14/12/2015 19:01

Hi all thank you for the kind words and wise advice about tests!

Coco OMG I has so happy for you, your blob is beautiful!

Elljaye sorry i dont have any advice that will help but im sending you a virtual hug if you need it.

Flybynight1 · 14/12/2015 19:22

Elljaye were you charting and know your date of ovulation? Fingers crossed that things work out for you!

MrsSantaClause · 14/12/2015 19:44

Congrats to those who got good results from their scans/tests over the past couple of days!! These early weeks are an anxious time aren't they!!

I'm still waiting for the sickness to kick in.. I keep saying to myself: today I am pregnant. My boobs are huge though, and less sore now, mostly just uncomfortable if I knock them. I also have the sore throat from hell which I wish would do one.

BergamotMouse · 14/12/2015 19:51

Congrats Coco on your blob. You must be thrilled. I have a private scan on Saturday so hoping to see my blob then too.

Just got back from doctors and had ketones in urine so have antihistamine medication to reduce vomiting. Somehow I still feel guilty for taking time off work.

SeriousStuff · 14/12/2015 20:09

Thank you all for the lovely messages. Had a scan and you could see the yolk sack (hate that term!) and haven't had any bleeding today. They want me to go back in again in a fortnight as they couldn't see a heartbeat and it was probably too soon to even attempt it! So I'm feeling cautiously optimistic too.

Lanhydrock are you having to go back in again or are they happy now til the 12week scan?

PickleBot · 14/12/2015 20:38

Coco wonderful news, it's such a cute blob!

I've just eaten a massive slice of banoffee pie and a bag of chocolate coins... I'm a danger to myself! Now of course I feel sick. Stupid!

PickleBot · 14/12/2015 20:40

Lanhydrock do you live near Lanhydrock?
