Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

coco that's wonderful news - how far gone are you? It's definitely giving me hope!

Morwenna1 · 14/12/2015 20:48

Missed lots as usual!! Congrats on your blob Coco! Amazing Smile

Elljaye I hope that things work out for you Flowers I feel like I've got a huge amount to learn over the next few weeks and hopefully months.

Serious - that sounds promising!

Hello toffee and wombat - yes, hope the Dr's went well! I have managed to get an early appt on Wednesday morning now which has put my mind at rest. At least that'll be done by Christmas. Tomorrow I'll be 5 weeks Smile It will be too early for me to contemplate sorting out an early private scan, so will see what the doc says and go from there.

Horrendous heartburn, loving clementines, going through anxious phases of 'where are my symptoms, I want symptoms' (I hear you alduxbury!) to 'will someone stop me bloating for the love of God?!'

Sensitive Q - er, does anyone have cramping that appears to be linked to constipation and 'needing to go'?!! Had bad cramps this morning and I'm wondering where the definition of 'normal' stops and 'severe' begins if you get me. No bleeding/spotting.

Mouse - do not feel guilty about taking time off work! Glad to hear they can give you someone to reduce the sickness.

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 20:54

I literally look about 6 months gone will all this horrible bloating. I feel so disgusting. Feel like chucking trackies on and covering up but I'm so hot that I can't do that!

OwlinaTree · 14/12/2015 21:01

Congrats coco, that's great news. Hope you can relax a tiny bit now.

Called the doctors to make a midwife appointment today, I don't need to go to the doctors which is good. They will see me at about 8 weeks, but with Xmas etc I wanted to make the appointment so it wouldn't be too late.

Was the first time I've actually said 'I'm pregnant' to someone. Made it feel a bit more real.

Overslept for work today too, blame the boy for this, he's been up in the night with a cold and cough.

PickleBot · 14/12/2015 21:42

Oh I've just remembered Waitrose have got their own brand pregnancy vits on 3 for 2 at the moment. So 90 day supply for £8. It's the cheapest I could find, but I didn't look online, scared I'll get fakes.

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 21:48

That's great Serious! A yolk sac is such a good sign, I reckon you will have a healthy baby! Yay!
Pickle I cannot eat chocolate and sweet things! I'd be sick! I must be having a boy a I don't remember this with my last girl pregnancy!
Owl that's so cute! I've told a few people but not everyone. I need to make a midwife appointment too, I'll be 7 weeks on Wednesday and still not been to docs! I think because I'm September I had a chemical mc at 4 weeks 3 days and I went in the docs at 4 weeks and they basically said come back in a couple of weeks. Anyway I will make an appointment tomorrow as I'm passing the sugary on my way to toddler group with my baby. She's one next Tuesday! I will have a 19 month gap Smile

Dear me so many spelling mistakes in that post! Must be baby brain Grin

FourForYouGlenCoco · 14/12/2015 21:51

Serious glad your scan went well too! Am 7+2/3 today, she went straight for the dildocam! That's twice in 4 months I've been intimate with the damn thing, DH is going to get suspicious at this rate Grin
Mouse definitely DO NOT feel guilty for time off! I agree with what alduxbury said earlier - we must fall obediently into line with whatever these babies want. Clearly your bub wants you on the sofa, with jezza on the telly and a ready supply of oranges at your side! Am sure work don't mind (and tough shit if they do anyway, cos pregnancy rights!) and you'll be back in no time, once you're through these tricky few weeks.
Morwenna yes, some constipation troubles going on here too! Until a few days ago my trusty morning coffee was keeping things moving but prenatal vits and my current all-carb/cheese diet has finally won. It's so hard to tell what's intestine/bowel cramps and what's womb stuff!
Very jealous of all you healthy lot with your juice and your tangerines. Orange juice actually does sound really good but I mostly just want to eat cheese at the minute! Not good! I am lifelong veggie though so wonder if my body is trying to get some protein in?!

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 23:14

Has anyone had stabbing pains in the vagina? Is this normal? They're mild sort of shooting pains and it's making me anxious! Also when I'm tired and if I'm standing I get tingly itchy ankles and feet? I couldn't do my teeth tonight because my feet started itching! Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

PourMeSomethingStronger · 15/12/2015 06:22

Hurray for glencoco and christine that all sounds very positive!

Hi to the newcomers. I've not been on for a few days so nice to come back to a few new faces.

Don't want to throw any spanners in the works but I had an incredibly sweet tooth with ds2. All I wanted was ice cream and lollies, so doesn't always follow that it's sweet for girls and savoury for boys.

Like lots of you with citrus cravings I can't get enough oranges. I've read it's quite a common pregnancy thing as vitamin c helps iron absorption and we all need more of that when we're growing tiny people!

Feeling shattered daily now and heading for bed at 9 most evenings. Not helped by ds2 waking up before 6 every day. I think it's time to drop his naps but can't bring myself to lose that lovely hour of peace in the afternoon!

Lanhydrock · 15/12/2015 07:28

Serious, Coco, I'm glad your scans went well.

I just have the 12 week one now as they were able to pick up a heartbeat of 111. I was surprised as thought it would be too early but it was a really hi-tech scanner - apparently they had only just got it that day. I was expecting dildocam but it was an external one.

Pickle - I'm from Cornwall but live in Surrey now. My family are mostly down in Cornwall though so I go down there quite frequently (although not as much as I'd like). How about you?

My strange food choices to date have included supernoodles, babybels, fried onion with ketchup and mustard and copious quantities of marmite! This is quite a departure from my usual diet but 'normal' food (especially vegetables) makes me feel so sick.

I realise I never posted my stats, here they are:

Lanhydrock, 27, Surrey, EDD 2 August.

ToElleWithIt · 15/12/2015 07:34

Congrats on all the successful scans ladies.

JW35 I get those pains too. You're not alone there.

Nausea has kicked in here and I''m in a constant state of flux between "I'm ravenous; feed me now" and "urggg even thinking about food is making my stomach turn".

OwlinaTree · 15/12/2015 07:43

Hummm feel like I'm having the don't feel pg anymore experience.

Will be looking out for symptoms today!

MrsSantaClause · 15/12/2015 07:57

I had that yesterday owl, today I feel much more queasy, it's awful how it comes and goes isn't it!

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 08:18

Wow I've had so much to catch up on (been away for the last 5 days).

Hurray to the good news on first scans!

Mor YES! I was woken up by cramping needing to go the loo a couple of nights ago- not fun!

I'm headed back to the gym today the second time since knowing I'm pregnant. Apparently I can carry on as normal for the first trimester- fx by body behaves to allow me to.

I'm headed away with work from Thursday which could mean I'm away for 3-4 weeks. In massively expecting morning sickness to kick in whilst there. Job is a bit of an unusual one. I work on oil rigs and work 12 hour shifts. I won't be telling anyone who I'm working with. Does anyone have any tips for hiding it or dealing with it without giving out any clues to anyone I'm working with.

I'm also loving satsumas/clementines/oranges at the mo. Thankfully there's a constant stash offshore. I also feel 4-5 months pregnant with this bloat, is anyone else getting lower backache yet?

PickleBot · 15/12/2015 08:50

Lanhydrock I'm an expat too, originally from saltash now living in East Anglia. :)

I thought I was going to be sick last night, but I managed to hold it at bay! I'm also having some digestive issues...lets just say it's one extream to the other, not good!

bunch I think quite a lot of the back ache is caused by dehydration, you've got loads of new blood and amniotic fluid to make after all! Don't you have to notify your work so they can do a risk assessment for your working conditions? Last time I was pg I worked at an engineering consultancy and I was supposed to tell them, because I wasn't supposed to go on site while pg...maybe they were worried I might get myself run over by a digger due to the baby brain or something!Hmm

SeriousStuff · 15/12/2015 09:02

Pour I can't believe how much orange juice I'm getting through. Really struggling to drink water so it's my main hydration method at the moment! Really strongly crave it.

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 09:03

Pickle I'm a self employed consultant so not really. When I was employed doing the same job I read up on it and on their system I just needed to let them know before 15 weeks to due date. Basically I refuse to tell them until I'm 12 weeks and I don't want to risk not having the work by telling them now. There's no extra risk than when I go out there not pregnant.

Thanks for the hint about dehydration. I'll up my fluid intake, despite getting up to pee twice a night already haha!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 15/12/2015 09:36

Bobs for keeping sickness at bay - keep lots of little snacks with you and have them through the day, nausea always seems to be worse when I'm hungry. Also water/fluids, keep sipping! Sit down when you can in the day, and get plenty of sleep - all things that seem to be making a difference for me. Hopefully it won't hit you too hard!
Elle I hear you on the flux! My two states at the moment are 'starving' and 'hideously nauseous', with nothing in between! But I fancy nothing at the moment, literally nothing sounds good, so it's a case of forcing down whatever I can stomach! Will pick up some orange today I think.
Lanhydrock we had our holibobs in Cornwall this year!! I couldn't believe how incredibly beautiful it is, was completely blown away. Me and DH both said if we could live anywhere, it'd be there, no question. It's just so stunning!

Loads to do today and I'm still unshowered, in jammies! Really need to move but it's so hard to find the motivation on such a horrible dreary day.

SeriousStuff · 15/12/2015 11:37

Owlina I'm definitely going through periods of no symptoms at the moment - after 2 weeks of full on, constant nausea.

Jw35 I had some stabbing pains before my bfp, plus last week, my hands were very tingly and my legs felt really numb!

Christine I feel so fat! Really wish I could just go to my parents' for Christmas now so I don't have to see anyone and stay in loose clothes all day!

PourMeSomethingStronger · 15/12/2015 11:44

Lanhydrock Marmite is an amazing source of folate. Apparently if you had 4 slices of toat and marnite a day it would fulfill all your folate needs!

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 12:04

Thanks Coco.
**
Spoke to the midwife today and have my 12 week scan booked for the 1st of Feb. Eek so exciting. Not feeling very pregnant today apart from sore boobs. My bloat is at bay for the moment (at last!!) And I'm starving!!!

Christinedonna · 15/12/2015 12:07

BunchofBobs did your midwife contact you or did you contact her?

BunchOfBobs · 15/12/2015 12:10

She contacted me Christine on Saturday after I initially called to let them know I was pregnant. I was away though so had a voicemail so I called this morning. They had me in for the 25th of Jan first but I'm away then so had to push it back. I'll be 12 +3.

Christinedonna · 15/12/2015 12:14

I wonder when I'm going to be contacted as I let them know weeks ago
