Hi just got my bfp! I'm early, 3 days before AF was due so not sure if I'm the only one with an August due date?

I'm due August 3rd Smile

Bergamot you and I have the same pregnancy I think, sorry you feel as rubbish as I am, hope you get signed off

OstentatiousBreastfeeder · 14/12/2015 10:33

If all goes well we won't be telling people until the first scan. I've two DCs, and I didn't get to tell people our news with either of them, my loose-lipped parents told my SIL both times and she then spread the news like butter - both times. My brother was really hurt that it looked like I'd told 'everyone' before him Sad

That's not happening again. Parents will find out with everyone else. Seems petty I know but it's SO annoying to have your thunder stolen twice in a row by the same people.

BergamotMouse · 14/12/2015 11:12

Hopefully it'll pass soon lily. I really don't want to feel like this over Christmas.

I'm contemplating seeing whether I can change my appointment to a phone appointment as they're always running late and I don't want to sit in the waiting room feeling like this. But I don't know if they need to see me in person.

guest2013 · 14/12/2015 11:16

Well I just had a bfp this morning! This is #3 with a 10 year age gap (by the time it's born!) so feels like starting over again. So excited! I think I'll be due 19th August.
What do I do now? Do I go to the gp or phone midwife directly?
Congratulations everyone.

bergamot my GP wanted to check my urine for ketones, so probably will want to see you. I've been signed off until Christmas, and then I have holidays until 5 January, so hopefully by then I will be better

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 11:24

guest2013 I went to the gp and they registered me at reception for the midwife.

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 11:25

& congratulations!!

guest2013 · 14/12/2015 11:25

Thank you!

Flybynight1 · 14/12/2015 13:58

hugs to all the ladies who are feeling the burn just now!! I agree, just do what you need to to get through it-if that's being off sick for a bit then so be it. You're busy making a baby so make that the priority :-)

I am into satsumas/clementines in a BIG way right now. Just got some from marksies and they are beautiful! Must remember not to overdose on them!! Although it might help the bloat/constipation!

Happy 6 weeks Alfie Smile

lilygirl81 · 14/12/2015 14:20

Fly I am totally in to satsumas as well, DH is buying a kilo bag every few days, they are the only thing I can actually eat. The M&S ones are fantastic

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 14:24

Serious I hope everything is ok my lovely. How frightening for you Thanks GlenCo you're scan is in less than half an hour, I hope you're ok. Whatever the outcome I just hope you're ok today Thanks

Sickness has come on thick and fast! Also feeling extremely fatigued. Maybe I need iron tablets? I'm 6.5 today

Grace step away from the pregnancy tests! They're not an exact science and you could be like a day away from 3+ weeks or something silly! Welcome Guest! I have an 11 year year gap between my 2, this will be my 3rd x

Hi, dont want to bring anyone down but is there anywhere to chat about worries and concerns? Thanks x

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 15:00

I'm addicted to orange juice. How weird that we're all having such similar cravings

lilygirl81 · 14/12/2015 15:05

Elliejayne don't worry about bringing down the thread, this is a place for support so please don't keep concerns to yourself.

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 15:45

Any news GlenCo? Xxx

Christine that's funny I keep thinking about the tropical juice in the fridge. I don't normally bother with juice but now you've said it, it is orange juice I'm craving!

Ladies I am so so over the moon - and shocked!! - to tell you that I am the proud owner of a tiny blob (which might be upside down in this pic, I've no idea) - a tiny blob measuring spot on for dates, with a heartbeat! I am so happy. I couldn't believe it when she said there was a heartbeat. I just couldn't let myself hope before then.
And to reassure anyone that might be having the same, I've been spotting since Wednesday - brown, pink and red - and have had cramps as well, from period pain type cramps to feeling like I've been prodded with knitting needles from the inside. Everything I could find on google said cramps OR spotting were OK, not both together, but it looks like it doesn't always mean the worst!
And I'm really sorry to anyone I've freaked out or annoyed with my constant mentalling. But you have all been invaluable and I really do appreciate it - and I promise to be more positive from now on!

Glencoco that is FANTASTIC news!!!!! What a beautiful blob may I just say Grin did they say what could be causing your bleeding?

Jw35 · 14/12/2015 16:23

GlenCo I'm so happy for you!!!! SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile YES!!! I'm just made up for you. In fact I've got tears in my eyes! Damn pregnancy hormones! Omg though! I was so scared it was going to be bad news! Thank god your little bean is ok! Xxxx

Congratulations coco that's lovely news!
How far along are you exactly?
I'll be just under 7 weeks when I go for my scan on Thursday and I will be completely over the moon (and shocked) if I see a heartbeat!!xx

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 16:29

Jw35 I can't get enough of it! We have the exact same dates aswell😂 Although I have realised I've never really tasted the difference between different brands of orange juice before, it's all tasted the same but now I'm very picky! My sense of smell is so sensitive aswell! The OH opened a bag of chocolate buttons on the other side of the room the other day and the smell literally smacked me in the face! Was like it was right under my nose. And his parents were cooking onions the other day, we were upstairs they were downstairs and it smelt like I was the one cooking, I hate onions aswell but the smell really made me want them! Odd. And Coco that's amazing congratulations! Bet you're over the moon. I have my scan on Thursday and although I've got the thumbs up from the blood tests and everything I'm still convinced it'll be too soon to see anything. I want a picture!!

FourForYouGlenCoco · 14/12/2015 16:36

Thank you so much all Grin I will admit I shed a little tear when she said "...and we have a heartbeat!"
No word on cause of bleeding but she had a good look round so I assume it's just one of those things and will stop worrying about it! I did have a little bit of spotting with DD but much lighter and not red but that was 2 pregnancies and an ERPC ago so maybe I'm just a bleeder!
Mrs1986 I'm 7+2, maybe 7+3 today and she found the heartbeat really quickly. She had to remeasure baby a couple of times though as first time she said it was 6+2 - she redid it once she had a better shot and measurements matched my dates - but what struck me was that she was saying the measurements out loud and there was literally 2mm difference between 6+2 and 7+ weeks - I can see how it's easy to get it a bit off at these early stages - so if anyone does find that their dates don't quite tally with scans, don't worry too much! I reckon the 12 week scan will match my dates.

Elljaye78 · 14/12/2015 16:37

I just wondered if anyone else had issues with HCG levels? I had a pee test at the docs which came back inconclusive so they took blood for HCG. The first came back and the doctor wasn't happy so I had an early scan. That only showed a thickened lining so they took more blood. The levels didn't double they only increased 30%. Any further scan showed a gestational sac but nothing in it. Did levels again still only 30% rise. I've had them done again today and will have another scan this Friday. Everything is telling me to prepare for the worst and I feel unbelievably anxious. I'm not totally sure on dates but I think by this Friday when I have the next scan I will be somewhere between 7 weeks and 7+5 😢

Christinedonna · 14/12/2015 16:45

Ellijay it may be that you're not further along than you thought. They've put me back a week after seeing nothing on my scan, my levels did double though so I can't really relate 100%. I would be interested to know about the HCG levels though. Has anyone had their levels slowly go up in other pregnancies and everything go okay? When the nurse said to me "your levels should double, if they go up slowly and slightly it could be ectopic, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is" so could it be okay? Have you discussed the possibility of ectopic elljaye78?
