dolly yes, shop bought sushi is fine. www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/is-it-safe-to-eat-sushi-during-pregnancy.aspx?categoryid=54
I'd go insane without my sushi fix! Smile

Nehagarg glad the hospital are listening to you and are looking after your mum.

I'm running out of food I fancy eating. All I really want is fruit, but that doesn't exactly fill me up! Last night my DH cooked spag bog, but I couldn't face pasta, so had rice with it instead of spaghetti. And when it came down to it I couldn't face the bolognaise either so he got my bolognaise and I ended up with plain rice with salt and pepper on! I did feel loads better once I had proper food inside me. Doesn't help that I'm intolerant to lactose and gluten, so my options are already a bit limited. I start feeling worse as soon as I get slightly hungry so I'm constantly snacking on nuts and fruit, but I'm struggling for actual meals I can eat. Oh dear, who knew pregnancy would make me into such a moaner!!

bikingintherain · 22/11/2015 17:04

Oooooh sushi, that sounds tasty.

My ms has been a bit better the last day or so. I'm really banking on feeling normal for Christmas. And if I'm honest it's partly because I want a (single) glass of champagne Christmas morning! And I'm not allowed to drink on my medication. don't tell my midwife , it is hugely disapproved of here.

LouLou030783 · 22/11/2015 17:34

Thought I'd join this thread as I'm due late June xx

PrincessPunzie · 22/11/2015 18:27

I just tried my first glass of non-alcoholic wine OH GOD ROLL ON JUNE

Louise34567 · 22/11/2015 18:31

Hi Jo and Lou

Jo, hope you're not having to be sick too much and that it will pass soon!

bikingintherain · 22/11/2015 18:35

Welcome jo and lou.

I don't normally drink that much but I really miss it at Christmas. And I take it from your response princess the non alcoholic wine was a no go?

mrsmugoo · 22/11/2015 18:37

I don't really drink so the alcohol thing is neither here nor there for me. I enjoy the odd gin & tonic but I hate being drunk and one or two drinks every couple of weeks is more than enough for me. I don't miss it when pregnant.

bikingintherain · 22/11/2015 18:45

I tend to agree mrsmugoo, it hasn't bothered either at all so far. It's just at Christmas all my favorite drinks come out, so although I don't drink much I really like what's on offer. Gin and tonic, champagne and brandy, since I'm think about it!

I've just remembered that from my maternity leave from DD I was given a bottle of gin! Although o think it took me over a year to drink it!

LouLou030783 · 22/11/2015 18:49

I tried some alcohol free koppaerberg the other day they actually taste exactly the same it's a shame u can't get them in pubs as have a few nights out coming up

Billi77 · 22/11/2015 18:54

TMI alert.
Anyone else horribly constipated? Am already 'showing' at 9 weeks. Pure hell!

JellyBaby26 · 22/11/2015 18:58

I said o had no symptoms I sort of lied. I have the most uncomfortable internal piles - going to pop makes me want to cry!!
I'm blaming my daughter as it always felt a bit odd after she was born and now it's just ridiculous!!!

JellyBaby26 · 22/11/2015 18:59

My dad asked me if I was pregnant last night just after telling me I looked fat. I'm a size 10 :/ although am weighing more than ever. I obv told him not and its just cookies !!

Billi77 · 22/11/2015 19:11

At least you can 'pop'

PrincessPunzie · 22/11/2015 19:19

biking it was sort of like a gone-off fruit juice! Nope, nope and more nope! Have yet to try the red but not sure I can be bothered now...

mrslewis2015 · 22/11/2015 19:20

Happy birthday divergent hope your having enough of a break from ms to have some cake/similar!

Welcome to new people!

Might join you on a sip or two on Christmas morning too princesspunzie! Just enough to make a toast! Never been too much of a drinker so not missing it, but I hate missing celebratory toasts! Haha

Oh jelly that made me laugh about your dad, my grandad used to always ask me! Well done for avoiding the question, I would have caved! Hope you get some relief with your piles, not fun!

billi don't know which is worse... I'm the other way.. Haven't had a 'normal' one in god knows how long! Pregnancy is so lush... Haha

iamdivergent · 22/11/2015 19:56

Managed some cake and it's sitting nicely, fx I'm on my way to feeling like a human being again!

Just been looking at some maternity wear, I'm bloated all the time and my jeans and trousers are just not comfy! Only thing I can wear are a pair of skinny jegging which have a stretchy waistband but I'm washing them constantly atm so my need to invest in some trousers! The blooming marvelous stuff is well priced in mothercare a two pack of tops is £15. I'll need a capsule wardrobe but will be waiting til after scan which is 2 weeks tomorrow!

AmIseeingRight · 22/11/2015 19:56

oh wow #4 already, happy birthday smile

I'm marking place and feeling nervous & excited as its 12 week scan tomorrow when I'm actually 12+4.

Pleased that sickness has gradually subsided and haven't been sick since Thursday evening smile still nausea but not as bad, so those suffering hopefully not much longer to suffer flowers

TMI but Jelly I've had an itchy bum every time i've gone for a pop so I just figure every pregnancy has its oddities blush

AmIseeingRight · 22/11/2015 19:58

oops Blush used * instead of [] oh well.

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 20:19

thanks gnomette I absolutely love it and couldn't see why rice and a bit of smoked salmon from a shop would be a prob :)

MollieRos I feel the same, I can't face cooking so keep making toast or eating crispa and im fed up of that! I'm also intolerant to a million things so limited options there for me too. Never mind moaning, I actually cried last night because I felt so sick, needed some food but didn't know what to eat!

Good luck for the scan Seeingright :D

Well a Chinese and bottle of Coca Cola (which I usually hate) sorted me out tonight. Terrible for the scales but don't feel sick (for now!)

mrsmugoo · 22/11/2015 21:29

My tummy has really flipping popped out now. Need to get the maternity jeans out ugh.

jbiscuits · 22/11/2015 21:41

I shouldn't have read this thread before going to bed. I hardly had any dinner tonight because of feeling ill, and now all I want is cake and coke! We don't have either in the house Sad

MollieRos · 22/11/2015 22:10

Princess red non-alcoholic wine is basically like slightly gone-off red grape juice- not worth it either!

TomboyGirl · 22/11/2015 23:27

Hey everyone! 😊

Looking forward to chatting with you over the next few months. Having my first scan tomorrow and really excited. Hoping against all hope that it's twins 😊. I am 12 weeks today and glad that the first trimester is almost over! Been so badly bloated and been farting like an elephant 😁, but two days ago, it's as if my swollen belly disappeared into thin air! (still farting though). Hope the remaining months are going to be kind....fingers crossed!

Good luck all, x

TomboyGirl · 22/11/2015 23:51

Happy birthday Divergent and Jelly!

Billi77, I feel your pain! Was really badly constipated between 7 and 10 weeks Blush.

AmIseeingRight...Good luck for the scan tomorrow! We are scan buddies Smile
