Thanks for the reassurance jelly mugoo and torfin I feel better hearing that in not the only one. Mr obsessed is despairing of me but just now said that ok if a scan to shut you up is under £100 then just book it Grin! Love him!
I've said though that I'll wait till my midwife apt on Thursday when I'll be 11 weeks , if she books it in then I'll wait for the standard one and save the pennies for a later one maybeWink
Also mugoo just totally get the family pressure in a nice way - my mum and dad are pretty relaxed as its number 4 for them but oh's mum keeps just popping into the office to see me as she can't bear not being able to talk about it to anyone - she lives 40 mins from our office and is never really passing!!

obsessedlex · 21/11/2015 21:27

Oh Mollie sorry to hear you're feeling rough again Thanks

jbiscuits · 21/11/2015 21:34

Sorry to hear people are still waiting for scan dates. Am very grateful that in our area the midwife just books all the relevant appointments over the phone at the booking in appointment. Seems a lot more efficient (and less frustrating!)

I've had a rough few days feeling sick and tired, and have had DS pretty much on my own which has made it harder. He watched way more TV than I would have liked today, but oh well! Hope everyone else has had a better Saturday!

Dirtycat · 21/11/2015 21:56

I've had such a rough day today, goodness me! 10 weeks tomorrow and all I want to do is stay in bed and eat bacon. How I am going to get through next week at work is completely beyond me Confused

bikingintherain · 22/11/2015 06:51

Morning ladies. Fingers crossed everyone's scan comes through in the day or two.

I've been getting loads of pain in my back recently and radiating round the front. Decided to call out of hours yesterday to check that I was ok to leave it until Monday before I went to GP. They decided they wanted to see me to check it wasn't a UTI. I ended up having a nightmare journey resulting in me cycling like crazy across the city, whilst I'm thinking I can't possibly I'll as I wouldn't be able to cycle this fast. Anyway all clear and the doctor said it seemed to be muscular pain and not to worry.

But then she said "You had a scan there was an embryo on the right place so that's good. But with pregnancy what will be will be."

It's such a Dutch way of saying things, but then I panicked she thought there was a chance I was mc. I have to keep reminding myself she said she wasn't worried and I didn't need to be. Darn Dutch cultural bluntness!

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 08:12

Morning all, said those fateful words to hubby yesterday "feeling a lot better, the sickness is really subsiding by nighttime" - cue a night where I couldn't find anything I wanted to eat which wouldn't make me sick and very nearly being sick 3 times. Not good!

I am fine as long as I don't get even a tiny bit empty but of course, I am literally just piling weight on because I don't want to eat healthy snacks, I want carbs and sugar! Anyone else finding this? I'm getting really worried :(

Hope all are feeling well :)

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/11/2015 08:23

Went out for a late lunch with friends yesterday and felt fine, including on the 30 minute drive home. Get threw the door and throw the whole meal up :( hoping sickness will end soon, 12 weeks on tuesday

Belleboo23 · 22/11/2015 08:31

Yep I'm the same dolly anything salt and vinegar flavour the stronger the better, love McDonald's fries at the minute Blush and just re discovered bagels yum!! I told my midwife all I can mainly eat is carbs she said it's ok but yes I'm worried about the weight aswell. I guess it's better than nothing!!

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 08:39

Ahh get well soon caterpillars that sounds rotten. I definitely improved after 12 weeks last time, then improved again after 15 weeks. Didn't start actually being sick until 30 weeks which was odd! Hope you have a better day today x Is it your scan on Tuesday?

belle ooh yes salt and vinegar I love at the best of times but even more so at the moment. Hopefully the starving feeling will subside soon and I can get back to more healthy food. Thankfully still loving a good roast dinner.

Does anyone know if we can eat shop-sold sushi (the ones with no raw fish?) - I absolutely love it but have read you can't eat it when pregnant unless you know it has been stored properly in a deep freeze - I'm guessing those guidelines are for the "proper" sushi which is raw? Anyone know?

Belleboo23 · 22/11/2015 09:03

Ooh yes I love gravy dinners still especially the roast spuds haha!! I usually use my slow cooker alot this time of year but I can't stand to smell dinner cooking all day

nehagarg · 22/11/2015 09:20

Sorry to hear people are still feeling sick. Sounds rotten.

Biffle very happy that you are feeling a bit more positive. Everything crossed that all works out. Its a horrendous thing to have to deal with right now.

Grubby - Thanks. Smile. Mum's ended back in hospital on Friday. According to xray, she has 1 or more collapsed vertebrae but she is in so much pain that they cant move her to an MRI machine to check exactly what has happened. So she'll stay in for a while until they control her pain and can then check to see what actually has happened. Thankfully she is in the hospital now so being looked after like she should be. And this time the docs have figured out that they made a mistake by sending her home twice (mostly because I make sure I mention their slackness every time I see them). Fingers crossed.

nehagarg · 22/11/2015 09:21

Pregnancy wise - All well. I have had absolutely no symptoms since week 10 and no sign of a bump yet. If the scans didnt show a baby jumping around in there, I wouldnt believe I am pregnant. Grin

Do still feel bubbles and rolling sensation off and on though. Exactly where the baby is. Exciting!

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 09:38

I'm hoping for a week 10 miracle too nehagarg I'm so sorry your Mum is back in hospital but sounds like the right place where she needs to be at least they can manage their pain. Hope she improves xx

GrubbyWindows · 22/11/2015 09:43

Ooh nehag that consistent bubbly feeling does sound very plausible!!! V exciting...
So glad your Mum is getting the care she needs! Two undiagnosed collapsed vertebrae, managing that at home is a bit of a tall order!! When I was looking after my stepmum I used to keep notes whenever we talked to the doctors- after I while they were checking my notes rather than theirs because mine were more accurate...

Well, I've ordered dungarees. I live in quite a trendy area so I reckon if I just look confident people will think I'm a cool kid wearing weird shit. Or an off duty teletbubby...

mrslewis2015 · 22/11/2015 09:47

neharg I'm so glad your mums getting the help she needs, I hope she recovers soon!

Love going out to those still feeling sick, mine is coming in waves now rather than constant and I even managed a coffee yesterday!! First in over a month, and my god, it was like drinking liquid gold! Yum!

Got my 12 week scan date... 15th December! And my spotting seems to have subsided, still going to go to the scan next week to check everything, but had a much more positive day yesterday! So fingers crossed!

iamdivergent · 22/11/2015 10:24

Hi all, it's my birthday today!

I've been doing a bit better the last few days, sick free since Friday. Appetite has increased too which is amazing and I feel I have a bit more energy. I am actually finding that if I just sit about then I am worse, so trying to take a walk especially after dinner which is my worst time - I always feel really ill after dinner which is horrible and it continues up until I go to bed. So still feeling nausea just not (fx) being sick for now and I wish the watery mouth would do one as it just makes things worse. I've adjusted my metoclopramide down to the two doses (as prescribed) a day and I'm alot less dizzy and tired so I think I'll try and maintain at this level unless it gets really bad again.

Been waking in the night so thirsty, so taken to taking a glass of water to bed with me every night to quench my thirst. I also seem to have acquired insomnia! I saw most of 1, 2 & 3am this morning.

Louise34567 · 22/11/2015 10:30

Welcome socktastic. Mine's not til 21 Dec ... I'm pretty late in comparison too!

caterpillars I know what you mean ... car journeys are awful for me too, mostly when I'm not the one driving weirdly!

Dolly I'd probably just check if they use raw prawn/something similar sauce to line them. But if I'm starving I might just eat it embarrassed ...

Grubby dungarees sound awesome.

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 11:37

Thanks Louise might ask my midwife when I finally get to meet her.

Happy birthday divergent hope you can stomach some cake today!

Good news about the spotting mrslewis and the scan date too -

Grubby that comment about tellytubbies made me laugh a lot. I think "cool kid" is the way to go!

Feeling really sick today, everything I've made for myself I don't fancy so I'm just feeling sorry for myself. Hopefully it is a temporary thing! 9+1 weeks now so looking at a chart of HCG levels, hopefully it can't get worse than this as HCG peaks between 9 and 12 weeks.

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/11/2015 12:01

Thanks dolly yes scan is on Tuesday then we can finally tell people as currently not even our parents know

Was sick first thing as well and got up in the night 4 times to use the loo

Dh has been out to buy dinner and has come back with sardines! For saying I have only been eating plain foods for the past 6 weeks due to sickness and nausea and that I didn't even like sardines pre pregnancy, I don't know what he was thinking! He thinks I'm being ungrateful but the thought if it alone makes me heave eurgh

I know he's trying but seriously!

GrubbyWindows · 22/11/2015 12:40

Happy birthday divergent! Preggo birthdays just don't have the charm do they...

Ugh to all the nausea and sickness, mine is lifting now at 11 weeks, and I'm also much less wiped out- I've cooked more in the last three days than he previous two months!

PrincessPunzie · 22/11/2015 12:42

Happy birthday divergent! I also saw 3am this morning, great joy. Determined not to nap today in the hope that I get a better sleep tonight as I don't want it turning into a vicious circle. I have a birthday between now and my scan next week but I keep forgetting about it, funny how it's made my priorities change!

Glad to hear things have subsided mrslewis Smile

dollydaydream84 · 22/11/2015 13:38

Ahh caterpillars that is fab! We weren't going to tell our parents until 12 weeks as wanted to tell DC1 first but with having to have the early scan & being sent to hospital, it was too hard not to tell them. It has been easier on me as well as now I don't have to pretend to look cheerful when I feel terrible. The story about the sardines made me laugh so much. I usually love them but couldn't face them now, so goodness knows how you feel when you didn't like them in the first place! Hope your scan goes well xx

Grubby - Glad the sickness is lifting for you, hoping to follow suit soon :D

Torfhinn · 22/11/2015 13:40

Found baby's heartbeat this morning! Listened to it for all of 5 seconds before dashing upstairs so dh could listen and couldn't find it again Sad Apart from the vague sense that i imagined it all, at least i know there is a baby with a heartbeat in there! Taking the doppler back to work so I'm not tempted again Grin

JoMalones · 22/11/2015 14:31

Grabbing a comfy seat with my sick bowl....

Elliecherry · 22/11/2015 14:54

inwaiting there was a fb group set up very early on, but I'm not sure who is on there that is in here too? I find it hard to keep up also.

divergent happy birthday!

Its exciting you are all having scans! I'm around 9 weeks now and will be having my booking in appointment tomorrow. I've been really sick though, and having to take tablets for hg :( bring on 18 weeks!! (When my sickness ended last time).
