Glad to hear that biffle hope you can work things out. Hormones are everywhere and I am sure it is stressful for him too xxx

BiffleRoo · 21/11/2015 10:19

I just found the heartbeat with my Doppler! Wasn't expecting to find it so early but it was really clear and definitely baby

Betty79 · 21/11/2015 10:32

Glad you are ok Biffle and lovely to hear heartbeat on doppler, i bought one of eBay a few weeks ago and found heartbeat about 9 weeks Smile

Belleboo23 · 21/11/2015 10:33

Glad to hear that biffle and exciting about the doppler. How many weeks are you? I was looking at ordering one today but not sure which one to go for

obsessedlex · 21/11/2015 11:31

Oooh wow that's exciting about the Doppler - was it easy to use? I worry about the potential to cause more worry! X

socktastic · 21/11/2015 11:43

Can I join in? Due end of June - 12 week scan not till the 14th December which seems like ages away!

Had home visit from midwife this morning who was lovely, getting all the info and talking us through what to expect at scan. She was also great reassuring us - I had an mmc in Feb. Discovered at 12 week scan that baby had stopped developing at 9 weeks. 9 weeks tomorrow so a bit worried about that.

Anyway, I just popped on to say hi!

BiffleRoo · 21/11/2015 12:13

belleboo I'm 11 weeks tomorrow. I had this one with DS as DH was away for large chunks of my pg so missed out on so much it meant we he could listen to baby when he was home.

I find it really easy to use but I just use it for 'fun' rather than anything else and don't panic when I can't hear anything Smile

Belleboo23 · 21/11/2015 12:29

The angel sounds one seems to have good reviews might go for that I still haven't had my scan appointment through just hoping I can find a heart beat with one of these to put my mind at ease a bit. Hubby has agreed if scan is closer to 14 weeks we will pay for one sooner

Betty79 · 21/11/2015 12:36

I have a sonoline b, bought it off eBay second hand. I hired one 10 years ago with my last dd but they seem a lot cheaper now so bought one. I'm the same as Biffle, have only used it a few times and not panicked if can't hear anything, it's usually a lot easier to find with a full bladder

bikingintherain · 21/11/2015 14:29

I have been soooo tired today but just had a lovely nap in front of Home Alone. And now woken to a quiet house as DH has taken the DC out.

Now to find something to nibble....

Hope everyone is having a nice day?

BiffleRoo · 21/11/2015 16:05

I have the Angel sounds belleboo and really pleased with it.

obsessedlex · 21/11/2015 16:24

My symptoms have really disappeared and rather than being pleased about feeling better I'm panicking - anyone else? I'm 10+2

obsessedlex · 21/11/2015 16:25

biffle so pleased to hear that you are a bit more positive X

Belleboo23 · 21/11/2015 16:51

Thanks for the recommendations ladies I'll get one ordered I need something to keep me going!! I'm the same obsessed which is why I want to get a doppler just hope it doesnt add to the worry. Apart from very very slight nausea first thing I'm ok at the minute but then havnt actually thrown up at all this pregnancy which has also worried me as had sickness with ds and dd, no comparing symptoms to guess the gender for me!!! Just hoping everything ok

JellyBaby26 · 21/11/2015 17:16

Obsessed I literally have zero symptoms. I think we should count ourselves lucky!!

Torfhinn · 21/11/2015 17:27

I borrowed a doppler from work today, gonna give it a go later Grin Never used one for fetal heart beats before, normally use a different probe for leg ulcer assessments but the pack comes with a 2mhz probe that looks like the one the midwives use! Managed to refrain all last pregnancy but dont seem to have the same resolve this time. Any tips?

My symptoms eased of majorly at 10 weeks as well

mrsmugoo · 21/11/2015 18:23

Evening all - totally forgot the old thread was full so didn't look for this one!

Not a lot to report here. I have a stinking cold so feeling a bit sorry for myself. Also have just started to notice a legit rounding of the tummy! Been opening my jeans in the evening for a while but that's just food/ bloat but this morning even first thing and even sucking it in, I can notice the start of tummy expansion - shit, didn't show til 16 weeks last time!!

Still hungry all the bloody time and eating complete rubbish compared to pre-pregnancy. Feel so disappointed in myself, I am going to pile back all the weight I've lost this year I just know it ugh.

mrsmugoo · 21/11/2015 18:26

Jellybaby and Torfhinn - if it wasn't for starting to show, I'd say I had no symptoms either. My sickness disappeared overnight at 10 weeks and I went back to no symptoms at all!

Belvedere · 21/11/2015 18:54

I've got a cold too and I still feel horribly sick, this pregnancy is already worse than my last. Boo.

Mrsmugoo my scan date came through today, it's Friday. Have you heard from southmead yet? I'll be 12 weeks exactly. Now I'm going to fret until Friday.

GrubbyWindows · 21/11/2015 19:54

Belvedere we're scan buddies! I'm next Friday too. Slightly paranoid that last weekend's tummy bug was actually listeria so it will all be over when they look (clearly not listeria, just hard not to worry a tiny bit).

Re bumps- I've been wearing one skirt and one skirt only for the last two weeks, nothing else fits! Just got a bump band which will hopefully bring some trousers back into service, but feel loath to wear it whilst I'm still not telling everyone. I'm daydreaming about dungarees (trousers but no waistband! Heaven!) but worried I'll look like a berk in them. Might get some cheap second hand ones on eBay to try...

biffle I'm so glad things are looking up!! Not easy however it pans out..,

nehag yay your boss! And yay that your DH is able to pitch in too, it sounds really hard work. Are had district nurses not involved??? They have been cut to the bone, but this sort of thing is their bread and butter.

pixie ugh blood pressure. A good friend of mine had super high BP for two pregnancies (one with twins!) and no problems whatsoever. I got it at 40 weeks last time, right at the end, and it shifted into pre eclampsia within 2 days (I was still totally fine though), so it's just a big lottery! No fun having yet another thing to worry about though.

Waves to all, keeping up with this thread is a full time job!!!

Lovelybeano · 21/11/2015 20:16

Aww my dd has just painted my toenails for me......little does she know she'll be doing alot more of that in the next few months lol

mrsmugoo · 21/11/2015 20:30

Nope Belvedere midwives only faxed my request off on Thursday but they've told me to phone and chase it I haven't heard by Thursday which is when I'm 12 weeks. But even if I do hear by Thursday there's no telling when it will actually be... Just want it out the way now, especially with impending bump!

Belvedere · 21/11/2015 20:42

Mine was faxed in Thursday too mrsmugoo at my booking in. I was shocked how quick it was, you should get yours soon too.
I am super fat already, I need to tell work before they think I've eaten too much pie.

MollieRos · 21/11/2015 20:50

Obsessed my symptoms pretty much disappeared at 10 weeks too... I had a few days of celebrating feeling normal again (whilst trying not to worry) and then since last week I've been feeling dreadful. Feeling really rough today, I'm off to bed in about 10 mins I think- rock and roll! So basically, don't worry- symptoms do seem to come and go!

mrsmugoo · 21/11/2015 20:58

I'm excited to get the date - to shut our bloody families up if nothing else!

Anyone else getting super irritated by their families keep continually asking when they can tell people like were deliberately stringing it out or something?! They know full well we're waiting for a scan.
