PS obsessed Are your twins identical or fraternal?

Torfhinn · 10/12/2015 08:59

Congratulations obsessed, how exciting!

God luck to those having scans today

Torfhinn · 10/12/2015 09:04

*Good luck (you can have god luck as well if you like Grin)

mrsmugoo · 10/12/2015 09:21

Sore throat and stuffy nose here too nehagarg but I'm taking the day off work today to get the tree and decorations up and get a bit organised for Xmas so at least I don't have to deal with other people today!

Have 100% had to ditch my regular jeans now and am wearing old maternity jeans that keep falling down as not only are they really baggy kneed and stretched but they're a size 12 and I'm an 8/10 currently. Really need done new ones as I feel scruffy and horrible in these ones.

Elliecherry · 10/12/2015 09:49

Divergent I hope you have a better day today, I can truly sympathise!

Congratulations on all the scans!

My scan is today and I am nervous!

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 10/12/2015 10:15

Good luck to the scanees today.

After Jo's news it was lovely to hear about Obsessed's doubly good news. Wow! And Amy too - big relief.

Emma, why are you concerned about the flu jab? I had it early on (get it at work) and was fine. Much better than getting flu, I'm sure.

I am 13+3 now and really look a bit up the duff (it's my second so am all pre-stetched). Still feeling ropey and tired... Hope the rest of you start to feel better soon. Surely it's time for blooming now. Flowers

MagicDucky · 10/12/2015 10:16

Twins!! Shock that's so exciting obsessed congratulations!!

Good luck for your scan Ellie! And anyone else who is getting one soon!!

MadrigalElectromotive · 10/12/2015 10:20

Lovely news about twins obsessed! How exciting!

Good luck to today's scanees.

No news here really. Just trying to get over the awful hyperemesis - feel a bit put out because I'm now 15+3 and still have it, although it is improving. I just want to be able to enjoy Christmas so I'm hoping to be feeling a lot better by then.

TattedPixie · 10/12/2015 10:49

obsessed that is fab news. I had a high chance of twins because of my OH having twins in his family but I've only got 1 in there from my early scan.
I'm just wanting for my 12 week scan. Most of our family and friends know but I just can't wait to announce it to the world

Rose2806 · 10/12/2015 11:03

Just been catching up, really hope jo is back again with good news soon. Amy so happy and relieved for you! And obsessed love you're exciting news!

12+4 now and nausea still present but milder and it comes and goes rather than being continuous so feels more manageable, enjoying food a bit more now as well Smile really hope everyone else still feeling rubbish gets an improvement soon Thanks

Despite only having the scan on Friday I'm already worrying that it doesn't feel like anything is in there again, it's just weird when I still don't have a proper bump yet and can't feel anything moving around etc. DH is finally letting himself be more outwardly exited now which is lovely, he was trying to be sensible and not get our hopes up before.

Emma I was paranoid before getting the flu jab but everything I researched said it was fine, I had it about 5 weeks.

kezod · 10/12/2015 11:39

Twins! How exciting, I have 2 sets of friends who have recently had twins and love it!
Sounds as though there are still a few of us feeling rather 'off' still, although I'm much better today!
I'm still waiting for my scan too its next tue (same as you magic?) when I'll be 13+3!

MagicDucky · 10/12/2015 11:45

Ooh we're scan date buddies kezod! It feels like an age to wait though doesn't it?! What time are you getting yours?

Belvedere · 10/12/2015 12:02

Lovely news on scans and Twins. Exciting!

I thought my MS was feeling better last week but this week has been worse than ever, this pregnancy has been really tough.

I found the most comfy maternity skinnies yesterday that don't fall down. H and M. They are fab. The over the bump ones. Totally recommend.

cautiousoptimist1 · 10/12/2015 12:02

So relieved for you amy, hope the rest of your results are as positive for you.

What wonderful news obsessed, are there twins in your family? Hope you're very excited thinking of 2 names!

I had a tentative look at prams on Monday which my Dad has very generously offered to pay for but there is so much choice.

I'm telling my gorgeous nephew, my Nan and my oldest friend this weekend and then it will be clear for everyone to talk about!

GrubbyWindows · 10/12/2015 12:16

Urgh head colds all sound very miserable. If nothing else, just sticking your head over a bowl of steamy water with a towel over your head has got to be ok on pregnancy?!? I used to work with opera singers and if anyone so much as sneezed they'd all be under towels steaming themselves...

Ha ha cautious I couldn't be doing with pram figuring out at all last time! With DS we had him in a sling exclusively til 9 month, when you can start using the smaller pushchairs anyway. Good luck!

So glad to hear your mum is improving a little bit nehag, I do hope she makes it home soon. But not until she's ready this time!

Eastend2015 · 10/12/2015 12:18

Hello everyone, can I join in? Been following the thread over the last few days but too nervous to join as scan was this morning. All good news though thank goodness and bumped from 11+5 to 12+3 and EDD 20th June. So pleased after an EP last year and MMC in March. Still shaking as I couldn't believe anything was there!!

mrsmugoo · 10/12/2015 12:23

Belvedere yes those H&M ones are the best! That's what I've got on now but they're too big, I need a smaller size. Still, even in a size too big it's bliss not to be squashed into regular jeans anymore. So I guess its back to elasticised waists for me for another year!

jbiscuits · 10/12/2015 12:33

Welcome, and congratulations eastend

As far as prams go, yes there are a lot! I'd recommend 3 things:

First decide on a budget (this can rule out a lot straight away!)

Second decide what you'll be using it for. I walk everywhere so wanted one that had sturdy wheels and a big basket for shopping. If you get the bus a lot go for a smaller umbrella fold. If you'll constantly be getting it in and out the car go for a lighter one that fits into your boot when folded.

Third, go try some out. Mothercare and toys r us tend to have a good selection of the more well known brands, and should let you try them in your car too.

You'll find your options narrow down quite quickly which makes it much easier Smile

emma85x · 10/12/2015 12:44

Congratulations eastend! You must be so relived! Welcome!

Good advice on prams jbiscuits! I'll be getting the Bugaboo Cameleon. They are expensive but I have always, always wanted one! When my cousin was born 9 years ago they had the exact one in sand and I dreamed about having one. Now after years of trying, I can finally have one so I'm going to blow the budget on this one thing! (For myself really, not the baby!) Grin

amysmummy12345 · 10/12/2015 12:49

Congrats Eastend!! Hope all other scanees are having positive news today xxx

Eastend2015 · 10/12/2015 13:02

Thanks all!

Lovelybeano · 10/12/2015 13:28

Yay had the scan and everything seems to be fine, thank goodness!! I haven't slept all week with worry, although baby was curled up so I had to keep dancing to wake them up which was quite funny, then they went on full tantrum mode, kangaroo kicking me and waving lol sooo happy Grin , due dates still the same so 19th June. I hope everyone else's goes well today xx

laughingGnomette · 10/12/2015 13:41
