New thread! Have to admit that I thought up this title at the weekend and have been itching to post it - how sad is that!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Seems we're all feeling pretty much the same today - You should have seen what my poor DH had to come home to today - DD1 lying in the floor, screaming, cos I wouldn't let her have any more soap. DD2 screaming in her high chair with dinner all over the floor in front of her and one very stressed, end-of-tether wife!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr! Boy was I glad when they were both in bed!

Would love to help you out with the nappy bag situation in the NY nutty - just let me know what you want and I'll get it / post it etc - captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk

I am sure your friend won't mind you cancelling on her at all HollyH - Hand, Foot and Mouth can v.serious for PG women.

I'd go for Number 1 - the comfy, yet sparkly option Bramshott - most definitely!!

Reflux is baaaaaad this evening - obviously another hairy one on the way!!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 11/12/2006 20:20

Would LOVE someone to come and help me in the mornings and evenings - and a cleaner too - I'll have 3 under 3.5 - Do I qualify????? Unfortunately, definitely can't afford it.

we1becomes3kings · 11/12/2006 20:42

You should do what I am going to do CD ask your mw if there are any college students doing a child care course that would like to do a placement with you, I think the more kids you have the more people they send out to you. May only be once a week for a couple of hours but every little helps. Best of all it's free!

opinionsrus · 11/12/2006 20:44

Just dropped in to say HI.

Don't know about you but is anyone feeling particularly mental at the moment.

Hormones are ALL OVER the place - up one minute and down the next.I'm sure everyone must be thinking I've totally lost the plot - seem to break out crying, or close to it aswell.

Oh the joys of pregnancy!!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 11/12/2006 20:48

You shoudl read down a few posts opinions - we're all in a state here!!

Good idea 1B3 - Thanks for that honey! Might just look into it .....

we1becomes3kings · 11/12/2006 21:03

My hormonal craze told me that I would feel better if I took a shower and shaved my legs! did it bollocks, ended up with a sore back from bending over trying to mow my leg hair jungle and bloody cut myself with the cheap razor!

opinionsrus · 11/12/2006 21:08

Just to let you all know that once and for all

THERE ARE NO £60 SAINSBURYS VOUCHER

IT IT A SCAM AND HAS NOT COME FROM SAINSBURYS, AS PER THE ANNOUNCEMENT ON THEIR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!

opinionsrus · 11/12/2006 21:10

And hormones are still raging - she says through clenched teeth....................

ChillyTiliTinsel · 11/12/2006 21:10

Hi everyone.

Hope those who are ill are feeling better, those who are stressed are calmer and those who I cant remember to name personaly are all fine to xx

I can totally relate to the mixed emotions I was crying the other night because I thought DH didnt love me and that when he goes for his works night out he will go off with another woman just because im pregnant,
I was just totally irrational and cannot explain it I wouldnt be like this normally though!!
I did apologise tohim for it and promised that I dint really feel like that which I dont. Now he just thinks im an absolute loon who keeps eating!! LOL

Wasnt like this at all with dd this pregnancy is the complete opposite of my first.
Maybe the next thread should be April 07 - role call for the hormonally unstable !!

Anyway better go and do some ironing woo hoo im such a party animal tonight arent I?

take care xx

ChillyTiliTinsel · 11/12/2006 21:12

I apologise for my typos xx

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 11/12/2006 21:13

Great Thread title - Think we might have to implement it soon cos this one's getting pretty long already!!

Must go and be productive / sleep a lot .....

we1becomes3kings · 11/12/2006 21:23

Right that's me off aswell then.

Although DH has just told me that SS2 (the evil one)wants to come stay with us as part of his therapy.
Are we all ready for this, god only know. Will have to discuss it further with DH tonight.

Will let you know the out come tommrow.

DecaTheHalls · 11/12/2006 21:31

great thred title Chilly! I think it must be a mixture of preg hormones laced with impending Christmas festivities!

Feeling for all you busy mums! Expect i will be in the same situation in a few years time, just as you all start to get your lives back!!

I've spent the evening painfully writing xmas cards to people I never speak to and haven't had any contact with since last year's xmas card. Oh dear, am I the only one who does this??

Getting lots of kicks and wriggles today and loving it! Bump is cooking up a treat ready to scare my family (who've not seen it) when they come visiting at xmas!

weewishyouamerryonion · 11/12/2006 21:48

good evening folks - a short while away from the thread and it gets too hard to follow. sorry for not referring to all of you and yr tales but i gave up a while ago on the keeping notes as i read!! i then hate to come in with my tale and not have given you all ample time but i do feel for all of us with hormone hells, stressed cycles and pressure. All i will say is that i really really cursed at my boss today when he told me that i would have to bring work home over my xmas holidays and flounced out of a v v v important meeting. well flounced as best i could with fat arse, jiggly boobs and a bump. size 8 wiggles are long gone!

roll on santa visiting and TLC at home in ireland over the festive season.....

nuttygirl · 11/12/2006 22:30

Just popping in while DH wraps my xmas pressies

Sorry to hear you had a bad time @ work today Weeonion...not nice to have to take work home at the best of times, never mind over xmas.

Eca - I try to send as few cards as possible!!!! I hate writing them...and I make DH write his own (although I address them cos his writing is appauling!)

1b3 - Sorry to hear you may have SS to put up with...really hope you get your own way on this. Also know what you mean about the leg defuzzing...I did mine tonight for the first time since I found out I was pg (August) ...you could have made a rug from the hair that came off!!! I used an electric trimming thingy...less chance of cutting...but leaves legs a bit stubbly. Will give them a proper shave on Fri ready for DHs xmas party.

Thank you so much CD...I need a 'beaming wanna give you a hug' emoticon!!!

Have made DHs lunch for tomorrow cos he's going to a client site (doesn't go to client sites v often cos of his job role and sometimes feels a bit behind others in his company) so I stuck a little label on his sarnie saying "love you xxx have a nice day"...I'm hoping he doesn't notice it until he gets there!

Well he might have finished wrapping by now so I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow!

Sexonreindeerlegs · 11/12/2006 22:33

Hi lovely people. It has been an age since I posted. Internet was down at home and then we were of to Lanzarote on Thursday and back tonight about an hour ago. Have tried to read everything, but am a bit knackered, so congrats on scans, welcome to newbies and hugs to those who are feeling shite.
I have my scan tomorrow and feeling really nervous. Felt awful today - as if bean was stuck in my side. We had to walk a lot at the airport and I was in agony. Hopefully the scan will show if there is a problem or not.
Anyway, off to bed as I am truly shattered.
Love to all, and Maveta, good luck with your scan tomorrow. xxxxxx

hotlipsmummy · 11/12/2006 23:00

evening all. Had a painful weekend too as DS also has a bad cold - temps and much winging all weekend but better today and enjoyed nursery as usual!

Apologies not to mention people by name as its taken me an age to catch up but yes, totally relate to the hormonal thing - DH and I have had several massive barnies this pg altho he does say I am nowhere near as bad as I was last time - not sure if that was a compliment!!!! Also am crying at the slightest thing - all the way through Forrest Gump last night, LOVE that film!! Hugs to all that need them.

Re getting help in - I say YES YES YES. We have a cleaner that I insisted on getting years ago as I refused to spend my precious weekend after hideous hours at work and client events all week cleaning the loo! Can't live without it now (does ironing too, incl bedlinen!) and am even thinking about getting her in twice a week after bean 2 arrives is that bad??? Lots round here have maternity nurses, au pairs and the like. Am just having my mum to stay. She came to help out with DS when he was born and ended up staying for 4 weeks as I was having traumas over bf and, with hindsight, trouble bonding with DS (couldn't bear him!! ) Of course I ended up looking after DS fine and was enjoying having my mum look after me - did make me realise tho that this "mummy" lark is for LIFE!

Hope all Xmas planning going ok and the move planning too! Anyone else not feeling very festive yet...?? Bah humbug to any mean old bosses too!

Good luck on scans tomorrow - is it just Maveta?

HollyandMistletoeforever · 12/12/2006 01:28

I know - it's late but I'm sleeping on the sofa in order to avoid (completely in vain, no doubt) spreading my germs all over DH and DS2 and this is the first time I've felt well enough to go on the computer.

Spent my time usefully by counting the latest stats, and, if everyone who knows (or thinks they know) has posted and my adding-up brain isn't too addled so far we have....

10 pink and
10 blue!!!

SparklySnowflakeKid · 12/12/2006 08:15

10 of each - aaahhhhh - very cute.

Good idea about the work experience thing 1b3. As I work at the local secondary school and see who goes through the door and onto college - I may be aa bit picky about who comes to help LOL!!

I can actually cope with my own cleaning - was struggling with the washing but with my new dryer all is hunky dory. I could do with someone ironing (did use to have someone) but with the new dryer just fold it and hey presto most of it is okay.

The Sainsburys thing was instantly obvious by the way Opinionrus because it rejected the email to sains instantly - I just hadn't checked my inbox before I got over excited and told everyone! Luckily no-one actually gets your email address from it apart from all your other friends...I'm sure its just my sister who is dippy enough to believe she is still getting a voucher

Must go - school run time...have choclate craving too

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 12/12/2006 08:40

10 Pink and 10 *Blue!!!!!!!( Gosh those sausages really did catch up, didn't they!!!!!? Well I am afraid I won't be adding to the tally cos we're not finding out when we go for our scan next week; but super looking forward to it and v.nervous at the same time ......

1B3 - First DH's delinquent nephew coming to stay and now his evil DS - I'd draw the line if I were you - You are PG with TWINS FFS!!!!! Enough is enough - how do feel about having him to stay honey? I don't see how it is absolutely necessary atm, iyswim!!? [hugs]

Hi SOL - Hope your scan goes ok honey!! Report back asap. [hugs]

How is everyone doing today - I am just feeling rather dazed and confused tbh - Soooo much to do, just do not know where to begin. I know it'll all get done, it is just a daunting prospect, iykwim!!?

LOL @ all these "shaving jungle legs" stories - I've just left mine "au naturel" (or however you spelt it!) Wore a long dress to dinner the other evening and just planning on the "cover them up" approach for this PG!! Cozy and warm ........

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 12/12/2006 08:41

@ all these cleaners and parents coming to help once the baby is born ..... I wish ...... >

muminamini · 12/12/2006 09:14

HELLOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
I'M BACK!
My Computer is now fixed....what a complete and utter blinking nightmare!!!!

How the devil are you all??? I amnever gonna be able tocatch up so I will just have to start again from this point I think...please can you let me know of any major news?!

I really hope everyone is doing well and not suffering too much crippling heartburn, piles, constipation, pelvic pain...etc etc etc.

The above is a brief summery ofmy main symptoms at the moment - apart from that I'm feeling GOOD! lol

Had the scan last Wednesday and all was fine and we managed to not find out what we are having - very good for me as normally I can't hold my own P*ss! lol

Still got some Xmas shopping to do but not that much and have managed to get wrapped what Ihave bought so feeling a bit calmer than the mega stress I had been having about the whole festive shennanigans.

Erm...what else has happened...not alot really...had Xmas Work Party and managed to get nice outfit (it wasn't even a pregnancy top HURRAY!!!) but some poor woman had the same top on as me and wasn't pregnant and gave me death stares all night......yikes!

Right better get on for a bit - DS is running round in juts a noddy vest and no pants!

Love to all - SO glad to be back!!!!
MIAM
21+4 (EEK!!!!)

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 12/12/2006 09:30

Hello MIAM!! Soooo good to have you back!! Glad the scan went well - and good on your for mananging not to find out - I am hoping for my will-power to last out next Wed too!!

Awwww, bless your little DS with his Noddy vest and naked bottom - they are sooo scrummy like that, aren't they!!? Just wanna gobble 'em up!!

CaptainDippyClausWithABump · 12/12/2006 09:32

muminaminimincepie · 12/12/2006 09:47
