Thanks Grubby ... He did agree to let me work remotely, thankfully. He is a family guy and when it comes to family, he always understands.

That said mum is getting worse and cant walk anymore (they found a pelvic bone fracture but she is allowed to walk) ... Gotten morphine prescribed today, if it isnt better in a day or two, I'll have to ask them to hospitalise her because at home she might break something else with my inexperienced lifting of her and her brittle bones (she has severe osteoporosis).

Thankfully DH is coming tomorrow and he has taken a day off on Monday so I'll have some support. The lifting and stress is definitely not a good idea when I am pregnant.

Biffle that sounds like a horrible shock and an incredibly upsetting situation. My thoughts are with you.

obsessedlex Aargh!! What a cruel trick!! Do they not know that us pregnant ladies are sitting by the letter box waiting for anything marked NHS?! I hope it arrives soon for you.

nehagarg · 19/11/2015 17:27

How very annoying obsessed ... How long have you been waiting now?

bikingintherain · 19/11/2015 17:28

Gutting obsessed, as if you want one of those letters at any point!

DH just brought home McD's after I messaged him to say he needed to cook dinner. He never dies that! Hoping that it satisfies any future craving!

nehagarg · 19/11/2015 17:34

lol biking .. My DH does the same. He made a huge speech about how I shouldnt be eating takeaways and he will take on the responsibility and cook to make sure me and baby get the correct nutrition.

So he cooked that evening

Then turned around and said - yeah, thats way too much work ... Hmm

lex I got mine the other week too!

We had homemade pizza with chippy chips for tea, was starving - think I am getting my appetite back!!! On the correct dose for my metoclopramide now but this is first day, will see how we get on but I don't feel as tired - maybe the tablets have a side effect of fatigue? fingers crossed dinner (and bump) stays happy.

Arm is aching, had my flu jag yesterday. So sore! It's a bit swollen today but nothing too bad.

laughingGnomette · 19/11/2015 18:52

ooooh chippy chips! I want!!

nehagarg - you poor thing, and your poor mum. What a difficult situation to be in. Great news that your boss is understanding though. xxx

iamdivergent - my arm was sore too after the flu jab. More so than in previous years.

iamdivergent · 19/11/2015 19:07

I'm not gonna lie the chippy chips were amazing! I was so hungry and I feel pretty normal now too which is a bonus!

dollydaydream84 · 19/11/2015 20:01

biffle hope you are doing OK and have managed to talk to someone in RL.

obssessed hope your scan date comes soon!

nehagarg can you get some help for your Mum? you shouldn't be lifting her "in your condition" or by yourself even in "normal" conditions.

mindfulbear so glad you had a good news scan. Internal scans are not fun!

Hi stom and welcome! Congrats! 7 weeks would probably be July I think. I am 8+5 now and due 25th June.

Ooh chippy chips sound fab. I am literally going to be the size of a house again :( just hope I can reign it in a bit when the sickness stops. Had crisps and biscuits on my drive to work to ensure I wasn't sick on the way, crisps in between meetings to keep me from being sick and basically just eating until I'm full. Nausea seems to subside after evening meal. However, I now just feel stuffed so its this balance between starving & stuffed all day long. I am grateful for the slight easing of symptoms at night, last time I just felt wretched the entire way through to 15 weeks.

Anyone else find time is flying by? I am 9 weeks on Saturday, it seems like I found out two minutes ago, it hasn't sunk in yet at all and I've never been so unprepared nor unenthusiastic for Christmas - don't know what's wrong with me, usually counting down the days until we put the decorations up. Feel like a right meanie old scrooge! Hoping I get a bit of Christmas spirit from somewhere this week!

Roll on the weekend! Hope all are well :)

iamdivergent · 19/11/2015 20:10

Chippy chips are not so nice on the way back out Sad

mrsmugoo · 19/11/2015 20:11

I can concur with you on that iamdivergent!

iamdivergent · 19/11/2015 20:17

Yuk! Now I'm annoyed because I was having a good day, no sickness at all until now! And why now, 3 hrs after my dinner?! Could be my tablet starting to run out (almost 6 hrs since last one) just yuk

jbiscuits · 19/11/2015 20:25

Sorry your chip enjoyment didn't last iamdivergent

dolly time is definitely flying. The first 12 weeks really dragged with DS, but have suddenly found myself at 12 weeks and almost the end of the first trimester already this time round!

dollydaydream84 · 19/11/2015 20:36

:( poor you divergent. I hope you feel better soon xxx

Jbiscuits I felt like that too, first one was soooooo slow the first 12 weeks, this is flying! scary really as hot a million jobs in the house to do before June!

iamdivergent · 19/11/2015 20:38

I'm definately feeling like it's dragging tbh

mrsmugoo · 19/11/2015 20:46

Dragging for me too!

Last time, I found out, had a scan, told everyone and a bump popped out all in the space of 2 weeks!

Already known for 7 weeks now and none of those things have happened yet!

TattedPixie · 19/11/2015 20:49

Hey ladies. Food isn't my friend today, all I've managed to eat and keep down is toast and ginger biscuits. Even struggling with chips. Think I might just curl up in bed and go sleep. Got to see the nurse tomorrow about my blood pressure. Hopefully it has gone down

earlgreydrinker · 19/11/2015 20:56

obsessed I feel your pain. Thought my scan letter had come - it was an invitation for my flu jab Sad

cautiousoptimist1 · 19/11/2015 21:39

It has been dragging for me too. I'm 10+5 and seems to have taken ages to get here. I'm hoping it will go faster once we've finally seen our bean.

My nausea has eased, I still get some in the evening but have been lucky so far. I am getting bloated in the evening though which is quite uncomfortable. I'm still eating little and often but managed a big lunch of chilli with chips at work today which was lovely!

When are you planning to tell your work? My boss is based abroad so I'll tell him on the phone probably after the scan if all is well. I'm dreading it though, I'm already getting extra work because of capacity constraints and I know of a couple of people leaving in the new year who won't be replaced. I know it's not my problem but I've worked there for 10 years and spent this year in a new job which I've worked had to shape into a decent functional job aroubd business and systems knowledge and I'm concerned that it'll get forgotten when I go on maternity leave.

Rose2806 · 19/11/2015 21:42

Time definitely feels like it's dragging for me too:-( I really really really can't wait until the scan now!

Also lemon thanks for your advice on the cyst- the pain I was having seems to have gone now which is good. Hope you get some reassurance soon if you are still worried about the spotting xx

PrincessPunzie · 19/11/2015 22:04

I'm very firmly in the "dragging" camp too. Today is "scan minus six" and it's only getting slower! Hoping that time will speed up again after next Wednesday Smile

Betty79 · 19/11/2015 22:21

I feel like time is going quicker now, but think that's because I have been busy at work and able to focus on other things than feeling sick.

More baby conversations going on at work today, don't think anyone suspects I'm pregnant too though, only 2 weeks to go.

Planning on telling my girls by putting the scan pic in a Christmas gift box and telling them they have an early present Smile I'm a bit anxious about telling them as my ex had a baby with his new wife last year and since then they have said they don't want another baby brother or sister Confused

Biffle hope you are ok and getting some RL help x

emma85x · 19/11/2015 22:45

cautiousoptimist I'm so pleased the topic of feeling extremely bloated and uncomfortable in the evening has come up. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and for the past 5 days or so even the slightest thing to eat in the evening makes me sooo uncomfortable for the entire rest of the evening! Have you found any cures?!!

MagicDucky · 19/11/2015 22:58

Well it looks like baby does not like orange juice!! Just drank a few glasses as its all I fancied and now it's gone. Orange juice is the worst coming back up!! Sorry for the tmi!!
