Good luck mrslewis and everyone else having scans today I'm excited to see everyones pics later!!!
I'm 9+4 today, for those of you who got appointments through the post for the 12 week scan how long after the booking in appointment did you get it. I saw the midwife last Wednesday and I'm pouncing on the post everyday lol. Just want to get it on the calendar because that will be the day we tell the kids then everyone else!!

PrincessPunzie · 18/11/2015 12:18

Belleboo my scan appointment arrived in the post eight days after my midwife appointment if that helps. So hopefully yours is due any day now.

Huge congratulations to the ladies who had scans yesterday, and all the best to those of you going today! I'll have been and probably still will be a little quiet on here until after my own scan next Weds as I don't have much to relate symptom-wise or anything else, heh. Everything somehow feels dependent on next Wednesday and it's almost as if I'm holding my breath. Cautiously optimistic though, because as I keep telling myself - I have no reason not to be Smile

nehagarg · 18/11/2015 12:19

Awesome mrslewis. and good luck. Smile

belleboo - afraid I cant help. My scan and booking appt dates came at the same time once I self referred.

Scan done. All well. Time to start telling people. Finally!!! Btw, DH has suddenly become very interested in the nub theory. Lol. Doesnt want to wait until January.

Hi Ladies, thanks for all your kind words last night, it certainly calmed me down a bit! I'm 9+4 today and it sounds as though lots of us have eased off the symptoms at this stage! Scan pics look great!

BiffleRoo · 18/11/2015 12:29

nehagarg I say girl based on scan pic

laughingGnomette · 18/11/2015 12:32

Aww lovely pic nehagarg! It's amazing how much they change in just a few weeks :)

Torfhinn · 18/11/2015 12:33

What a great scan picture nehagarg! You must be so relieved to have got a got past this point Smile

Congratulations to everyone else who have a positive scnas and fx for those due to go today.

Very boring 11+2 here - fairly symptom free except for tiredness and headaches in the afternoon/evening. Just starting to get a little bump but no-one else can see. Last time bump started at 12/13 weeks but no-one else could tell until 16/17 weeks, so only slightly earlier second time round. Just might be able to keep it under wraps until scan in 12 days (yes, I'm now counting down the days! Grin

nehagarg · 18/11/2015 12:44

kezod - perfectly normal. I havent felt a thing since 9 weeks. No bump yet either. Other than the scan showing a jumping baby, I wouldnt believe I was pregnant.

biffleroo - thats my gut feeling too. We'll find out in January.

Thanks laughing and torfhinn - i am soo relieved. And yes, its amazing how mine has gone from mouse at 7 weeks to teddy bear at 9 to an actual human at 12. Grin

Good luck for your scan today mrslewis!

nehagarg that's a lovely scan picture Smile Hopefully your work will be flexible with you working from home. Otherwise is there any scope for any kind of carer leave?

I'm feeling dreadful again today. I threw up and retched my way through getting ready, got into work as I was thinking maybe getting on with things would help, threw up and decided to call it a day and come straight home. Definitely the right decision- I'm feeling so nauseous, and keep dry heaving. I'm also starving, but for the first time I'm feeling too sick to actually eat much, so just picking at my lunch now. I can't believe I was feeling so much better last week- I feel awful now!

cautiousoptimist1 · 18/11/2015 13:05

nehagarg what a great scan pic!

I'm super excited for mine now - still 2 weeks to go for me.

mrsmugoo · 18/11/2015 13:34

Amazing scan picture nehagarg! An actual little baby in there! Enjoy telling everyone your news!

mrslewis2015 · 18/11/2015 13:53

What a gorgeous scan nerharg!! You must be delighted! Enjoy telling everyone!

Just got home from our scan, saw our gorgeous little bean with a perfect little heartbeat!! And very sweet little legs! What a moment, my DH was very happy as am I!

I have a 4cm cyst on my right ovary too, but they say they aren't worried, hopefully it will sort itself out!

The photo isn't as clear as the screen but it's lovely to have a pic!

mrslewis2015 · 18/11/2015 13:56

Oh and they put me at 8+5 rather than 8+1! Yay!

emma85x · 18/11/2015 14:02

nehagarg CONGRATULATIONS!!! Absolutely amazing photo!! I feel quite emotional just looking at it! I think it's a girl! #Guessing!

mrslewis CONGRATULATIONS! A very cute picture indeed! How far along are you now?

Enjoy the rest of your day celebrating and good luck to everyone with their upcoming scans! x

emma85x · 18/11/2015 14:03

Sorry mrslewis your second post just came up! 8+5 = result! :)

Lovelybeano · 18/11/2015 14:53

Lovely pics nehagarg & mrslewis

I've just bought some belvita breakfast biscuits cos food just doesn't appeal to me today, they're meant to have some vitamins in even if they are full of sugar xx

obsessedlex · 18/11/2015 16:50

Ooooooooh what gorgeous scan pictures - so exciting to see your little people actually looking like little people!!
I'm still waiting for my scan appointment. I have my booking in appointment next Thursday afternoon when I will be 10+6 so hopefully not much longer to wait.
On another note - off to Venice with Mr obsessed on Friday for the weekend - just a little bit excited. Grin

Betty79 · 18/11/2015 17:08

Lovely scan pics ladies!

One of my work colleagues came in showing off her 12 week scan pic today, I so wanted to say me too but stopped myself. Was so hard when everyone was talking about babies today tho. Not long to go tho, time seems to be going quicker now too, maybe it's because I feel less sick and can actually focus on other things!Smile

iamdivergent · 18/11/2015 17:14

I've had quite a good day, no sickness but I did get my flu jag. New prescription collected too, just noticed it says 1 every 8hrs as required - I've been taking them half hour before foodI honestly don't think I could manage 8hrs in the day between tablets as I barely manage 6

Lovely scan pics! I've got ages yet (7th December)!

PrincessPunzie · 18/11/2015 17:18

Betty79 I am doing a sewing course at the moment and one of the attendees is heavily pregnant. Her and the lady running the course spend almost the full two hours talking about babies and pregnancy every week, and I am desperate to shout "Me! I'm pregnant too!" so I know exactly how you feel!! I keep thinking of how I will take them by surprise the week after next when I can make it "official" :)

Fab scan pictures mrslewis and nehagarg they must be a huge boost to your respective days! Congratulations both x

Belleboo23 · 18/11/2015 17:30

Lovely scan pics!!
Never heard of the nub theory how does that work....off to Google!!

Betty79 · 18/11/2015 17:36

Princess that must be hard work lol

So something the midwife made me question yesterday is whether to have the screening for Down syndrome. I had it in my head I would have it done but then I don't think I would have an amniocentesis if it came back as high risk and def would not terminate unless there were very serious problems with the baby. so not sure what to do. She said I don't have to decide until the 12 weeks scan, just wondering what other people's thoughts are?

iamdivergent · 18/11/2015 17:44

We've never discussed what we would do if it came back positive but we have and will be testing for it and would cross that bridge if and when we came to it.

nehagarg · 18/11/2015 17:48

emma - I feel its a girl too. But i have felt that for a couple of weeks now. DH wants a boy - the whole, "I need someone to play football with scenario".

Thanks everyone. Its definitely a big boost. I am going to tell close friends and then let the grapevine do its trick.

Have a good time in Venice obsessed. How very exciting!

Betty79 · 18/11/2015 17:48

That's what I was thinking, I'm sure I had it done with both my dd's but the midwife at my booking appt made me think about what I would do if it came back high risk.
