Rosie I like the skulls. I have this Babyhawk skull motif carrier. Lots of people seem to think it's owls until they look closer!

Rosieblossom123 · 20/11/2015 10:37

Mship I love the carrier my dp will love that too! so cute, I'm hoping they do the travel set in the same pattern, 3 days to go!

Rosieblossom123 · 20/11/2015 11:19

Very just realised a few of the new patterns!!

Ugh, just waiting in A+E with DD2 who decided to eat a load of vitamins. She seems fine but the local hospital called an ambulance Shock I have no idea what will happen now as I really don't know how many she's taken...

BeautifulLiar · 20/11/2015 13:07

Oh my god Rosie those prams are amazing!! I'm going to have to get one but they're £70 more damn it!

Me624 · 20/11/2015 13:08

Oh my goodness Beautiful! She'll probably be fine I don't think you can really overdose on vitamins. But better safe than sorry with kids!

Sympathy to all my fellow insomniacs Sad I'm really struggling at the moment, I wake up 2 or 3 times a night and it takes me up to an hour to get back to sleep each time. Sometimes I give up and go on my phone but I try not to because they say the blue light is even worse for you!

Rosieblossom123 · 20/11/2015 13:14

Beautiful Oh no, thank god it's vitamins though could've been worse! I hope they look after her Flowers

They're gorgeous aren't they but yeah very pricey and they haven't even got the matching car seat which is annoying maybe they'll release them once the range is launch who knows!

ThePug · 20/11/2015 13:34

Your voluntarily daughter ate vitamins Beaut ?! Blimey, I remember being force fed Seven Seas liquid (the orangey one) when I was little! Were they the sweetie-type ones? As Me said, I'm sure she'll be fine as most vitamins the body just excretes any excess in the wee I think - better to be safe and get her checked out though. You're having a heck of a week - hope the weekend is better.

Sorry to hear about the insomnia. I only tend to be waking up if my blood sugar is low, but in treating that (with biscuits) I then keep getting heartburn when I go back to bed which isn't ideal.

Had my 24w growth scan today, all looking good and following the same curves as at 20weeks, although he may be a shorty as femur length was a bit on the short side. No doubting he's a boy - got a very clear view of balls & bits Grin !!

Those new Cossatto designs are lovely - love the apple one. I've just emailed Joolz to see when they mean by 'early Spring 2016' as they have a new pram and a new car seat coming out then which I'm sort of in love with.

BeautifulLiar · 20/11/2015 14:43

Rosie I can only see the pink, black and white one and multicoloured one?

I think you really can overdose on vitamins!! They say one them (do not exceed one a day". It's mostly iron/vitamin A that is nasty, but these don't have iron in (yes sweetie type ones!).

I'd told the midwife not to ring my mobile with my blood test results as well as I'd be "home all day". Damn it.

Also fuming at MIL. Just before we went in the ambulance I rang her (she's watching the other two as they still have chickenpox) and she said "don't worry about coming home. I'll pick you up". Now she has just said she can't pick me up!! We're a 45 minute drive from home, no idea what to do. I've got £2 on me...

Still waiting to see doctor though. DD seems ok, just hot and had some explosive diarrhoea!! I am so hungry.

Rosieblossom123 · 20/11/2015 15:24

Beautiful do you mean buggies or car seat?
Bless your dd, I feel sorry for both of you!

Work is an absolute nightmare today, I just wanna crawl in bed and hide Sad

Trinpy · 20/11/2015 15:33

Oh no Beautiful is there anyone else who can pick you up?

Ooh I love the go brightly design Rosie.

Rosieblossom123 · 20/11/2015 15:40

Trinpy I know I like it too but I thought the go lightly was more girlie :) they just look so unique I love them!

MyNameIsSuz · 20/11/2015 17:16

That sounds really scary Beautiful! Hope your dd is ok. And hopefully there's someone else who can come and get you, if not would mil have cash on her if you took a taxi and ran in for the money when you got there?

I had a shit day at work and still feel really sorry for myself. I've had a crap year with a mmc and a car crash and a load of anxiety that came with it, and was just starting to feel on top of things at work again. Then my boss told me this morning that someone has complained about me Sad and I don't know who, but apparently I drink too much tea and it's distracting! I do drink a lot of tea but not more than the others on my team - it's a small team and we tend to all go together and have a chat while we make our own - so I feel really singled out. I don't think hormones have helped me here as I spent most of the morning either crying in the toilets or trying not to cry at my desk. I'm now super paranoid, I feel like I don't want to talk to anyone or join the others when they go for tea in case I get another complaint. So petty, but it's really hurt me and I just can't wait to go on leave. Christmas party dress arrived today and I'm thinking of sending it back and not going. I'm feeling tearful just thinking about it! Someone slap me!

OP posts:
tappitytaptap · 20/11/2015 17:28

Suz what on earth type of complaint is that?!?!
ThePug, did you see a consultant afterwards? We got told that the baby has a big stomach measurement and so have another scan at 24 weeks with a consultant appt afterwards. Neither the midwife or sonographer seem particularly concerned about it, but can't help worrying cos they want us to see a consultant. Though is on 1st Dec, day of junior dr strike so may get moved I guess.

Me624 · 20/11/2015 17:50

Suz how on earth can drinking too much tea be annoying?! I don't think your manager should even have passed that onto you - try should have just told the complainer to stop being so ridiculous! Please don't not go to your Christmas party - it's their problem not yours.

maybebabybee · 20/11/2015 18:12

suz how completely ridiculous, do people really not have better things to worry about ffs! If someone told my manager that she would have laughed in their face.

Chocolate for you.

ThePug · 20/11/2015 18:18

Suz that sounds utterly bonkers, complaining about drinking too much tea! As long as you're not permanently in the kitchen making it, slurping it disgustingly loudly or sloshing it on other people's work I can't fathom why anyone would complain about it. Please try and forget about it as the complainant is clearly crazy.

tappity Yes, saw consultant afterwards. I'm diabetic so see the consultants every two weeks anyway, and now have growth scans every four weeks. The tummy measurement is the one they're always looking at as this is the best measure of how big baby is getting. How 'big' was yours' tummy at 20w? Was it still on the centile curves? I found a chart online today with average measurements for each week - scroll down the page here www.babymed.com/fetal-and-obstetric-ultrasound-measurements-pregnancy For reference, mine at 24+1 today were FL 39.9mm, HC 22.2cm and AC 19.3cm, with estimated weight of 613g (almost double what he was at 20 weeks!) The Femur length measurement came up as 22+6, whereas the others were bang on 24+1. DH & I were both short as children (I still am, DH grew at aged 14 apparently!) so hoping baby's just going to have little legs.

Boooo Sad Joolz emailed me back saying the new car seats won't be available til April/May so shall have to find an alternative. They were just so stylish!

dobbythedoggy · 20/11/2015 20:03

Not had a chance to post the last couple of days, but have been kept entertained reading. I've been up for my nan's funeral, she really had a propper send off. Dh could have had the time off but realisticly it would have left his work in a nightmare state and it really didn't seem fair on them for him to take 3 days off for it rather than the day most others would need in that situation. So I've just had 3 days with no real break from dd, which was much harder than managing a pre-schooler at the funeral itself. Met lots of different people who I've little or no recolection of from childhood or not met at all, all of who were very keen to tell me how excited nan was about bump and delighted to meet dd.

I'm with you all on the insomnia, spent most of the two nights we were in the hotel lying in bed not being able to sleep. I was shattered enough last night to sleep through and have a decent lie in this morning thanks to dh having the morning off. Guttered it's struck just as dd is finally sleeping through the night properly, trying not to think too much about the fact it took 3 years, 1 week and 4 days to happen. But we've now had 4 nights of sleeping through in a bed on her own despite 2 of those nights being in a strange bed.

I really need to start thinking about the things we do need to buy for bump. I know which stroller I want for him, but need to check it's one dh can cope with. But need to think about car seats and actually get around the replacing the matresses I want to replace. Wasn't planning to do most of it until after christmas but have had loads of people asking what we'd like buying for him. 15 weeks feels like ages to go when it comes to the little bits we'll need second time around. But wondering if I'll regret leaving it until the last 7 or so like I plan.

Dh turns 30 tomorrow! Then christmas planning will really get underway before the run new year birthdays in his family.

Paperblank · 20/11/2015 20:11

Suz

Come and work with us. We have a cuppa every hour on the hour, sometimes more often. Tea is considered an essential food group and one of your five a day here. We'd only complain about you if you didn't make at least one a day Grin

Biscuit eating is positively encouraged too (and I've just restocked...8 packets should last us a week)

If I was your manager I would have:
A) told the complaining old sod to get a bloody grip
B) not have even considered mentioning it to you
C) made a point of making more tea!

IndomitabIe · 20/11/2015 20:20

Happy Friday, folks.

Suz your colleague is bonkers. I think I would have been tempted to repeat the complaint very slowly back to the manager that entertained it. And then passive-aggressively make fewer teas, but interspersed with copious glasses of squash/juice, soups, hot chocolates. but I'm unreasonably stubborn and petty

dobby, glad your man had a good send off Thanks

I'm in the car going up-country for the weekend. (DH is driving, obvs). I'm sooo uncomfortable Sad, these jeans are too tight under my bump, I think I must have a stretching baby at the top of it. I wish I'd put my trackies on instead.

1:30 left to go. At least DS is asleep.

neh205 · 20/11/2015 21:56

Suz that is ridiculous! I'd make even more cups of tea & blame it on pregnancy cravings just to annoy the miserable sod who complained.

beautiful hope all ok and you got back alright.

Today I had second attempt at 20wk scan and thankfully they were able to measure everything that needs to be measured and all was ok. Although tappity & ThePug we were told the baby has a 'chubby tummy' but the scan lady didn't seem concerned about it. Was so nice to see the bsby properly today it felt magical and we got such a great photo. Checked sex again and they confirmed most definitely a boy!!

March 2016 #6, we're just breeding here!
neh205 · 20/11/2015 21:58

And dobby glad send off went as well as it could. Always hard bit nice to hear she was so excited about bump xx

marmiteandcheeseplease · 21/11/2015 06:45

Morning all! Can j just say weekend yaaay. DD slept until 6.15 today which feels like a miracle. Also having our first weekend at home with no travel to see family/friends for about two months! Not sure how we ended up being so busy at the weekends but I've been desperate for a weekend lazing at home. I was supposed to be going to London today to visit some girl friends but it got cancelled last minute and I have to admit although I was sad as haven't seen a couple of them for months, was also relieved.

beaut hope you got home OK and you DD is OK.

Congrats neh on successful scan!

suz your colleague is mental. Too much tea?! Wtf

dobby glad your nans funeral went OK, hope you're feeling OK Flowers

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 07:36

Jesus Suz that's mental. I am one of these rare people who wonders who on earth people can drink tea all day Blush but I certainly wouldn't complain! Live and let live.

Marmite - yay! Sleep is good. I know I need some.

Indomitable - hope you got out of those jeans pronto! I haven't worn jeans since June...

Rosie - are you going to get one of the new cosatto prams? I'm excited, found them a lot cheaper at preciouslittleone.com. I think I want the black, white and pink one!

Dobby - hope you feel ok after the funeral. That's hard work when you're pregnant x

Congrats on the perfect scans too :)

Yesterday was such a joke, being taken to hospital by ambulance then leaving us for hours on end. DD had to be admitted to the children's ward for monitoring, and we got home at midnight. I feel awful and so guilty for everything she had to be put through. She's already terrible with medical stuff after the GP didn't realiseher vagina was fused together and almost ripped her open when she was a baby and she'll be worse now! She absolutely refused to have the ECG done so they gave up in the end!

As for me, I feel like I'm seriously going to burn out soon. Feet are still itchy, and I missed the midwifes call with my results yesterday. Just really shouted at the older two :( going to rest A LOT today!!

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 07:37

How on earth*
