Thanks everyone, I know it sounds ridiculous but I'm still really upset, I feel like everyone must have been talking about me behind my back and nobody wants to be that annoying person in the office.

That sounds really rough Beautiful, glad you're home now. Is your dp around today? Can you all just have a nice chilled tv day?

Sorry about your nan dobby, glad the funeral was ok and hope you're alright.

Yay for dd marmite, that must feel amazing!

ThePug I didn't get a print out of the measurements or anything like that for some reason, I wonder if they just forgot to give them to me? Might ask at next scan!

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 08:54

Nope, he's in London. Probably won't see him until Wednesday. Definitely not doing much today but I'm still so angry at the other two. I sent them to their rooms and they just keep arguing. Really cba to get dressed but the baby's bath is getting delivered today :(

vroc81 · 21/11/2015 09:15

suz you need to work in our office we openly abuse people that don't make enough tea in our office... and were only half serious with the graduates they need to learn-

beautiful sounds like a horrible day but glad dd is ok, hope you get the chance to put your feet up.

dobby glad the funeral went ok, it's nice to hear how pleased she was.. I spoke to my gran the other day, whose 94 and not in great health and she actually said how excited she was and that she wanted to let me know in case she wasn't still here in March, but she was praying every night she will be.. I had to have a little cry when I got off the phone.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, mine is mostly going to involve paintbrushes.. Only four rooms to go..

Paperblank · 21/11/2015 09:56

vroc
I was you last weekend - don't overdo it!

beautiful sorry you're having a crappy old time of it.

I've got a poorly DH he's full of cold and he's on awful long shifts this weekend. I know he puts it on for sympathy when he's not really poorly, but he is genuinely feeling rotten and I know the last thing he wants to do today is go and deal with a load of gobby prisoners. I'm going to bake him a cake...

ThePug · 21/11/2015 11:06

beaut Is your DP working or has he gone away for fun? When he gets back you need to get him to take some of the pressure off you as you're going to exhaust yourself. Glad your DD seems ok but what a stressful day for you. How did you get home in the end?

dobby Nice to read that the funeral sounded like a proper celebration of her life. My gran died aged 90 in the summer (in fact on the day I'm pretty sure this baby was conceived, although my scan dates disagree) and whilst it was very sad, it was nice to see relatives I haven't seen since I was very small.

neh Gorgeous scan picture!!

Indom hope rest of the journey didn't drag too much and you're wearing something comfortable today!

tappity Is there not a print out in your notes? Does everyone have a massive notes folder? All of my results etc get printed and stuck in the folder with double sided sticky tape stuff so there's lots on each page. It's getting bloomin' heavy and doesn't fit in any of my normal handbags, so not looking forward to the latter stages where I'll want it on me if I venture any distance from home!

vroc don't overdo it on the painting.

Lazy day for me today (except I have to go to the sorting office to pick up my Medela pump that Amazon tried to deliver yesterday when I was out). Tomorrow we're going to ILs for Sunday lunch as BiL & family are over from the US for the week, so looking forward to seeing them and everyone cooing over me and the soon to be newest member of the family

RhubarbAndMustard · 21/11/2015 12:36

Beaut you poor thing. Sounds like your DD has been through it. When your DP gets back make sure you get some time for yourself.

Dobby glad the funeral went as well as can be expected.

Vroc good luck with your painting. I was supposed to be painting the nursery today and have ended up in tears. The paint is shocking and keeps peeling off the walls. Having to head back to B&Q to get sandpaper to get rid of the mess and new paint to start again. My quick weekend job has turned into a nightmare.

I also bought what I thought was a bargain baby changing bag (apparently rrp £79 down to £15 - honestly I should have known!) and it's awful. Looks like a Roy Cropper shopping bag.

Feeling emotional and stressed. DP has disappeared to the pub to watch football. Probably for the best.

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 13:54

ThePug - I know it's patchetic but I really am shattered with the feet scratching, chickenpox, hospital situation and screaming 4 year old. DH is gone for work - if it was pleasure I'd have murdered him I think! At the minute we really only see him on a Wednesday evening as he has to come back to the local(ish) college every week. Then he's gone again. Wish I could get him to take over with the DC. I am going out for tea with a friend this Wednesday though so he can do everything at home.

Me and DD2 have just slept!! Yay. Now I just keep getting things delivered... aagghh piss off!

Hope everyone else is fab!!

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 13:57

Oh god Rhubarb I'd have cried too! What paint was that?! I absolutely swear by Wilkos paint - it's brill.

Trinpy · 21/11/2015 13:57

Lovely clear scan photo there neh Smile.

Hope you and dd are managing to have a nice restful Saturday today Beautiful.

That's rubbish about the paint Rhubarb. Why would it peel off? . I hope your day improves now anyway. What was the changing bag you got?

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 13:59

Also it sounds like you need to post a pic of this changing bag!!

MyNameIsSuz · 21/11/2015 14:11

Oh rhubarb, that sounds rubbish! Can you send the bag back?

Sounds like you're having it really tough too Beautiful, you poor thing. Hopefully they can do something about the itching, that must be making everything ten times worse.

I'm just home after a slightly trying trip to the museum and supermarket with my boy, really hoping I can get him to nap as I'm dying for one, I feel all fuzzy! Bright sunshine plus freezing wind always does this to me.

Just noticed we're almost in need of a new thread! Again!! Anyone fancy leading the next one?

My husband has now been driving around Bath for 90 minutes trying to find parking. Kickoff is in 30 minutes. Seriously considering just heading back to London because this is nothing but an exercise in frustration.

RhubarbAndMustard · 21/11/2015 14:48

Oh Trinpy I'm rubbish at DIY stuff too so suspect I've probably done something wrong. Beautiful it's Valspar paint that I'm product testing. Someone said it doesn't cover oil based paint but pretty sure the magnolia I'm trying to cover is just standard.

I've just been back to B&Q who of course have never heard of this problem before. I can't really afford more but I've bought some cheap paint to see if it's any better, and sandpaper to get rid of the mess first. Just want to get it all finished so I can start clearing the mess the house is now in from clearing that room.

A pic of the bag for your delight! It's supposed to be green and grey but that's def yellow. I've never heard of the brand but was on offer from Emma's Diary. It will be going back!

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 14:53

Thanks Suz.

Haha Rhubarb it's not that bad Wink but yeh send it back. I was going to give in and get a Yummy Mummy one but those Cosatto prams come with matching bags.

MyNameIsSuz · 21/11/2015 15:11

I'm planning to get a new changing bag this time too, I had a Cath kidston spotty one last time but the inside is all torn and I'd like a bigger one if possible. Thought I'd ask for one for Christmas!

IndomitabIe · 21/11/2015 16:02

Ah, Beaut, you've had such a time of it. ThanksChocolate

Rhubarb that's the kind of thing that would drive me completely crackers. I feel for you.

Hope you got that nap, Suz.

Hope you found some parking, TriJo!

In the end last night I made DH stop and dug out my tracksuit bottoms. Much comfier!

dobbythedoggy · 21/11/2015 16:21

beaut what a manic few days you've had. Hope you are able to get some down time soon. Is your dh going to be around more when baby arrives?

Dh destroyed the first changing bag I had for dd, within weeks! In penance he brought a leather oi oi which I still love. Really looking forward to getting it out again for bump. It was pricey but had 18 plus months of heavy use until dd started to walk properly and a back pack became more practical and still looks like new. And it was dh proff which is a mirical in itself, as he destroyed a pushchair just by pushing it along the road infront of our house!

BeautifulLiar · 21/11/2015 16:36

Yeh TriJo hope you got sorted.

Dobby how did he break it?! I really don't think things are gonna change when baby is here, kind of worried it's gonna fuck up our marriage...!

dobbythedoggy · 21/11/2015 16:59

Sorry to hear that beaut, things for you just sound impossable logistically. But hopefully managing an actual baby will be easier than other children while pregnant.

The changing bag he overloaded. It was full of dd's stuff and he decide to put in all the stuff he wanted to take home from a relatives house then forced the zip closed. Ripped the zip clean off and tore the lining to shreads. I was beyond furious as it had been a fab bag that I could open one handed, hung properly on the pram and all he could do was laugh. The puschair he pushed into one of the gutters that run along the pavement outside our house like inverted speed bumps at high speed, one of the front wheels snapped off and the chasis twisted, a couple of weeks after the 12 month warenty ran out. We now have a tank of a pushchair that I found in a charity shop when dd wasn't ready to be without it.

hayleycookie · 22/11/2015 09:45

Ah this reminds me I need to get a new changing bag. I had two with ds1 (first one broke with overloading), so this time I want to spend a bit more and get one that will last, but I'm picky because I want one with a lot of pockets inside. I'm a sucker for organisation.

Hope you have a good day today Beaut. Sounds like you need it after your last few days.

How is Missi now?

Paperblank · 22/11/2015 12:38

DH wants his own changing bag for when he goes out with the baby on his own. I said "yes dear Hmm" I bought him a book "Commando Dad" so he's an expert (and I am not buying him another parenting book because all I hear is "but commando dad says...") I should get a bag sorted but I'm leaving baby stuff till after christmas now.

Anyone else still having bizzare dreams? Last night I dreamt that I kept taking the baby out in its pram and forgetting where I'd left it and forgetting to feed it!

MyNameIsSuz · 22/11/2015 13:25

I'm still having really weird dreams paper!

My dh also preferred taking his own bag, but just used the backpack he already had with one of those fold-up changing mats in (the ones that have little pockets for nappies, wipes etc). Could that work if you don't want to buy two?

I didn't have a bag until after he was born - I knew my mum wanted to get one and she brought it up to the hospital when he was born, all stuffed with lovely things Smile

Me624 · 22/11/2015 13:42

Dh ordered a Bababing "paternity satchel" - he said the changing bags are all too girly! It's a bit on the small side though so planning on getting another bigger one for me and he can have his manly one for when he goes out with the baby!
