Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 40th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 39th grads fred is HERE.

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 55th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

I'm a paid up member of the scan-pic-announcement-on FB club, so I say do whatever makes you happy honey.

Congrats on a happy scan sky Smile

Pissing down with rain here, yucky yucky yucky

5hell · 05/11/2015 14:09

go middle aged defender of preggos! (assume he wasn't sitting down himself at this point! Wink) ...dh picked me up one of the baby on board badges way back even before 12w, and i think is a little offended I haven't worn it yet (I 'commute' alone by car!) Hmm

congrats sky! Grin

i've been pondering a gentle post 20w scan announcement too honey (assuming all ok) ...dh did put something v v subtle on FB a little while ago (so subtle not everyone realise/noticed!)

having 'fun' today doing my preggo risk assessment at work ...turns out there are more nasties in the lab than I thought. Obviously I know we have many toxics, harmfuls, flammables etc, but turns out we do have a few more carcinogens, teratogens and things that "May cause heritable genetic damage" than I realised...NICE!

MollyBloomYes · 05/11/2015 14:25

Eek 5hell glad they're doing a thorough risk assessment in that case!

Thanks for all the glass raising everyone, never say never but does feel good not to have had any major relapses (everyone was on tenterhooks for pnd with DS but just got a bit weepy when milk came in, result!) it's brilliant that mh issues are becoming more talked about as more awareness means more support like you amazing Viroids! sky that sounds brutal, glad you're out the other side too. And hurray for team pink!

You know who else is just as all knowing as cats? Little kids. Used to work in a nursery and the kids there outed at least two pregnant staff members before 12 weeks! Tiny psychic FREAKS!

fruitlovingmonkey · 05/11/2015 14:51

Blimey Shell, that's quite a list!
pretend Wine for Sky, Molly and Pretz, well done for coming out the other side and coping so well with pg/ babies. I have a family member with mh issues and it was something that was never talked about when we were young. I'm so glad that has changed.
Congrats Sky are your dds excited?
Hope your scan went well Feathered
Lil I didn't throw up until around 11 weeks and had an almighty vomming episode this morning at 14. Either my baby is a delinquent or the timeframe they give us for what to expect is mostly bollocks.
Thanks for the train tips. I've ordered a badge and will try to be assertive! Or maybe just shadow a middle aged man to fight my battles for me. Will probably avoid rush hour when possible anyway, London commuters freak me out at the best of times.

honeysucklejasmine · 05/11/2015 14:53

Hurray for Team Pink Sky!

I am super jealous of people finding out sex. I get that some people don't want to know and want the surprise etc etc BUT I WANT TO KNOW! stamps foot

honeysucklejasmine · 05/11/2015 14:56

Oh, on announcement post... I think I'll probably put something up after my 28 week growth scan. Maybe I can get a new nice photo and finally find out gender.

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 16:12

It's ALLIIIIIIIVE! Wiggling its arms and kicking its legs! Measuring 4 days ahead so now 12+5 and EDD 14 May! Grin

pretzelpieces · 05/11/2015 16:15

Yay feathered! And what a lovely clear scan pic too.

honey I bet it's maddening. I was desperate to know and counting down to my scan so can only imagine!

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 05/11/2015 16:16

sky - congratulations on team pink!! At least now you can re-use all your other girlie stuff! Grin

Molly - lol at your tiny psychic freaks! I have visions of rows of "children of the corn" style faces staring at you....knowing......

5hell - that is literally fucking terrifying Confused Makes our office risk assessments ("you'll need to file a request for a ergonomic mouse mat...") seem pretty fucking pansy in comparison...

Honey - are you trying to find out the sex but having trouble with a "modest" foetus? If so, I have so much sympathy. Not knowing when you want to know must be SO frustrating!!!!!

So we had our last scan earlier today and it all went well. Still definitely a boy - he was virtually helicoptering on the scan, so no issues with modesty there....Hmm Everything is looking good apparently, although he isn't in the ideal position for birth. I will need to ask the midwives for advise next week, as it's the same position he was in a month ago, and not sure he plans to do much moving.

Got a sneak preview of the face as well, which I really wanted. Although it's kind of an "awwwww/urgghhhhh" mix with the 3d pictures innit

goodnessgraciousgoudaoriginal · 05/11/2015 16:17

feathered - fantastic profile shot!!!!!

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 16:30

LOL-ed at "fill in your request for an ergonomic mouse mat" Gouda! Same in our office! "Oooh you might want a SPECIAL CHAIR". Ruddy nora, 5hell I hope they give you a full on plastic suit and gas mask!

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 16:31

So pleased! Although it's (freakishly long legs - given I'm 5'2" and DH is 5'8.5" so 5'7" - are covering the 'nub' that I was hell bent on examining for a >30 or

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 16:32

Brackets are clearly too much for me today.

fruitlovingmonkey · 05/11/2015 16:41

Congratulations Feathered that's a beaut of a scan picture. Was all ok with your neuchal screen? My gangly little beast did the same with its legs! Are you going to find out the sex?
Grin at helicoptering Gouda!

TriJo · 05/11/2015 16:44

Lol @ helicoptering gouda - we had one angle during the scan where it really did seem like our little one was determined to prove that he was hung like a 30 weeker!

Today has been completely unproductive and I ate a metric fuckton of chocolate at work. D'oh!

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 16:46

Fruit they needed to take bloods for the neuchal screen, so I won't know until next week - they'll call and/or send a letter. Can't decide about finding out the sex - originally I was set against it...now I'm a little tempted...I think I'd mostly just love to have a 20 week scan picture I could over-analyse and pore over looking for a willy/a non-willy before declaring I had figured it out all on my own. Grin

fruitlovingmonkey · 05/11/2015 16:55

Ah right, I guess it's a different system here because they did the blood test a couple of weeks before.
You could always ask them to write the answer down and seal it in an envelope in case you change your mind/ for after you've exhausted the guessing game!

FeatheredTail · 05/11/2015 17:03

Fruit even as a child, I used to find my Christmas presents, sneakily get my mum's nail scissors and slyly slice along the sellotape where it just met the paper. I'd then expertly peep in, note and register the present, before just as nifftily sealing it back up.

...so, sealed envelope ain't gonna work. I clearly have no ethical boundaries Grin (Although it could if we got a combination safe and let my mum code it)

oneyorkshirepud · 05/11/2015 17:43

Yey for more good scan news! Is that every one done for scan week? It's been a good one!

Big cat definitely knows that I'm pregnant. About week 5 she did this weird digging thing on tummy, as if she knew something was in there. She has gotten massively more cuddly too as I've progressed. She now either cuddles on the bump or next to it with her paws across it (will put a pic on FB). If I'm asleep on the sofa she will just sit in top of the sofa watching me, DH calls her my midwife! Small cat however is clueless, but let's be honest she is pretty special.

My uterus is definitely warming up with lots of BHs, they make me feel weird Smile hopefully this will mean that the muscles know what they are doing when I go into labour!

Friday tomorrow, yippee!!!

pretzelpieces · 05/11/2015 20:27

Grin at tiny psychic freaks and helicoptering foetuses!!

A bit woe is me tonight. Burst into tears when DP got home. Blush I've just got a rotten cold, and feeling breathless and I'm absolutely dreading the gtt in the morning in the state I'm in! Mental health midwives are going to pop along while I am waiting for my second blood test.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 05/11/2015 20:42

Aw pretz chin up lovely. You will be better soon. Do you have anything you can do to distract yourself until bedtime?

I am currently sat in DDs room in the dark as the asshats of my area keep lighting off fireworks. It isn't bonfire night yet!!!! Geez.

Managed to do homemade devilled eggs to satisfy a craving and pumpkin bread with the inside bits from our Jack O'Lantern tonight and keep baby's sex a secret from DD. We are planning to do a reveal with her and DSD tomorrow after school. Thinking balloons in a box... Any other fun suggestions?

Yay for good scan feathered Flowers

5hell in my mind you are a sexy scientist now!

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/11/2015 20:51

Ah pretz I've been in tears this evening too - DS is so lively and unruly and just such a toddler I cannot keep my cool with him all the time.
And then I get cross, and then I feel guilty for being cross Sad

Luckily DH knows how to reassure me that it's not me, it's DS Grin

Hope having a good old cry helped to get it out your system.

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/11/2015 20:51

Congrats to all the happy scans!

pretzelpieces · 05/11/2015 20:57

Thanks sky, I think I'm going to put myself to bed early with a book. Isn't it bonfire night tonight?

thurs Aw sorry to hear that, but I'm glad your dh is supportive. I think a good bawl now and then probably does us all good.
