Thanks mrs! To be fair, he's normally pretty good too but he's got both upper canines coming through and it seems to be taking ages and causing him lots of distress. I think these may be the worse than the molars, pour little chap Sad

Torfhinn · 16/10/2015 08:48

poor!

nehagarg · 16/10/2015 09:06

Derby ... Hopefully its nothing. Fingers crossed you get an appt for asap.

tigress ... My symptoms are fading too. Boobs dont hurt nearly as much and back hurts just a tiny bit but thats probably because i am living off smoothing and juices and getting no fibre to help the constipation. No nausea. Just drinking water and peeing (though i can see a relation there). Comsidering i have seen a heartbeat 2 days ago and wasfreaking myself out because of fewer symptoms that day too - dont think it means anything. Smile

tigress23 · 16/10/2015 09:15

Thanks Nehagarg Smile

Derbygirl37 · 16/10/2015 09:31

Just got back from the doctors, I managed to get an appointment more or less straightaway when I rang (which is almost unheard of!) She said it could be nothing to worry about or it could be a threatened miscarriage, there's no way of knowing for sure (which is fair enough I suppose). Her advice was to put my feet up, rest completely and monitor it to see if it gets any worse. She said to take paracetamol and use a hot water bottle for the cramps because they're both safe. I'm still bleeding when I wipe and I'm still getting mild cramps. I'll just have to see what happens I guess. I'm on my own at the moment too because DH is at a conference in Manchester. I can't believe I've not even had a full week to be excited and now this happens Sad Thanks for your words of support girls xxx

earlgreydrinker · 16/10/2015 09:33

Hope you are ok derby
belvedere I do wonder whether there is any coincidence I carry My large DD on that hip!
Seems many of us are stressed atm with symptoms and no symptoms! Hugs to all.

Definitely feeling sick this morning, and Im so tired I would like to crawl back to bed but we have swimming.

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/10/2015 09:39

Oh, Derby, sorry you're having all of this worry. You may find the stat on this page reassuring - only 16.7 % of threatened miscarriages actually end in miscarriage. https://sites.google.com/site/miscarriageresearch/miscarriage-general

I hope that helps, and look after yourself. Hate to think of you on your own when you are so worried. Thanks

tigress23 · 16/10/2015 09:41

I think the most common symptom of early pregnancy is worry. Why do they leave this out of the lists?

I'm sorry you didn't get a definitive answer, derbygirl. I hope it all works out fine for you xx

After panicking all morning, I've just started feeling nauseated again. Yay?

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/10/2015 09:41

Pom-poms for nausea!

tigress23 · 16/10/2015 09:43

Ha ha, exactly madrigal! I'm about to ring DH and tell him I'm nauseated. Sure he'll be like Hmm

Torfhinn · 16/10/2015 10:14

I'm sorry you're are having so much worry derbygirl, fx for you that it all works out ok. You are not alone either. .. we are all here!

Today is the first day I'm struggling to eat because of nausea, i really feel that vomming is just around the corner Confused. Didn't have this with DS, does that mean it's a girl?!

Potkettleblack2 · 16/10/2015 10:25

Derbygirl I know exactly how you feel. The panic could make you crazy! I've been doing some research and both cramps and bleeding seem v common in early pregnancy and may lead on to a v healthy pregnancy.
I have a scan booked for this afternoon. I'm not able to concentrate at all! I really hope it is not bad news. It's 7 weeks since my LMP but my cycles are usually around 30 days so I don't know if I'm considered 7 weeks or 6+5. I wonder if it will be too early to see a heartbeat-does anyone know?

nehagarg · 16/10/2015 10:32

Best of luck potkettle .. I am sure it will go well.

Heartbeat depends on the equipment as well as the sonographer. You might see it as early as 6 weeks or not until 8 weeks. I saw mine at 7+1. So fingers crossed for you!

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 16/10/2015 10:39

Last time I had a scan at 6+4 and saw a heartbeat. They sometimes use a vaginal ultrasound but mine was a 'normal' one.

It is a very worrysome time. Sorry to those of you who haven't had great news, and fingers firmly crossed for those of you in limbo-land.

All boring here. I am keeping my head down and trying not to get too excited. Think I'm about 5 and a bit weeks.

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/10/2015 10:41

Good luck Potkettle I hope you get the reassurance you need.

After not being able to eat or drink for about a week because of vomiting, I am ravenous today. Confused I woke up at 2am with a terrible gnawing hunger pain, so DH made me some toast. I then had more toast at 7am, followed by a banana, 2 babybels, 2 rice cakes, and a bunch of grapes! It isn't even 11am yet! ConfusedBlushShockHmm

Crazy times.

mistletoeprickles · 16/10/2015 11:46

Hi everyone

May I join you?

I got my BFP this morning after just over a year of trying and 6 rounds of clomid.

This is my second pregnacy and DD is almost 5.

I've "known" I'm pregnant for about 3 days. Had a few tell tale signs.

I'm excited and nervous at the same time

obsessedlex · 16/10/2015 12:08

Welcome and congratulations mistleoe - this is a fab and v supportive group of girls WinkXX

Mrspopper · 16/10/2015 12:40

I've just sent my best friend an email telling her.... She's hsving fertility issues and I just feel really sad now. We are so so close. Email was agreed when any of us got pregnant. This is my second. I just really want it to happen for her. Sorry just needed to get it off my chest as can't tell anyone else. Hope everyone ok today.

Derbygirl37 · 16/10/2015 13:12

I hate going to the toilet and seeing more blood. It's still not particularly heavy, although there's some on my pad now, and the cramps have eased off. Can't stop crying xx

Mrspopper · 16/10/2015 13:14

Oh Derby that's so scary for you. I had a bleed in my first pregnancy and all was well. Feet up. Hsv you got any chocolate? Crappy film to try distract you? It's sooo hard

Belvedere · 16/10/2015 13:21

So sorry derby. Fingers crossed it eases soon.

I made my booking appointment today and it's not till I'm nearly 12 weeks which means my scan will be even later. Hurumph.

kezod · 16/10/2015 13:57

Derby thinking of you. The first trimester is so hard!

tiger I didn't have any symptoms during my last pregnancy, honestly wouldn't even have know I was pregnant apart from the scans showing there was something exciting growing in their, it was great!

Biffle I lit a little candle last night too, it was nice to watch the flames and reflect.

Just been for my midwives appointment she's done bloods and arranged an early scan at the epu in a week! I also did another pregnancy test this morning lol, just to check I wasn't going to be wasting any ones time and a lovely dark line came up straight away! feeling cautiously optimistic!

Lovelybeano · 16/10/2015 14:23

I've been brave enough to go to the docs today, dropped in a sample and I have to call the nurse on Monday between 12-1230 to find out the results ( even though I already know) . I asked the receptionist what happens then and she just said the nurse will advise so I'm presuming I'll just be referred to straight to the midwife. If the appointment with the midwife can't be next week, do you think they'd mind doing it a few weeks later? I don't want to take the kids to the appointment with it being half term, I'd be 7+ weeks if i left it so it wouldn't be really late, what do you lovely ladies think?

carrie1008 · 16/10/2015 14:32

Hi everyone, hopefully it's third time lucky for me, only a few days in and I'm already a bag of nerves worrying about every twinge, or lack of twinge! God knows how I'll keep it together Smile

jbiscuits · 16/10/2015 15:25

derbygirl sorry to hear what you're going through. Definitely agree with mrspopper about the chocolate.

lovelybeano I'm sure that would be fine. Just say you can't do an appointment that week. My booking in appointment is not till 10 weeks because of going away in half term.

Welcome carrie and mistletoe Smile
