thanks jbiscuits there's so many of us! How did people tell their OH? Mine was on a course until Sunday, but now home tonight and wanting to go out for a pub dinner...haven't told him yet because I want to do my test (actually fourth...I couldn't wait!!) with him...he's rubbish with dates so I don't think he even knows I'm now overdue!!

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 16/10/2015 16:17

I whatsapped him a picture of the test. #modern

BabySocks · 16/10/2015 17:01

Ha ha me too gin with a picture of the interpretation next to it! !

Sorry derbygirl just rest but it is very hard I know xxx

I hope telling the parents went well mrsm I usually tell family straight away :) However this time there has been too much heartache so I want to wait for a couple of scans before getting their hopes up , although bizarrely I would tell them if I had a miscarriage :(

terrifiednewbie · 16/10/2015 17:34

May I join? I've been lurking since the first few posts on the first didn't feel ready to post. Bfp on 21st September and the wait was just too much- had a private scan this morning for reassurance to see a beautiful strong heartbeat. 7w +3. Eddie 31/5/16 but would much rather be on the June bus if that's okay? Dc2 for us.

carrie1008 · 16/10/2015 17:50

Hi terrified I think I'll be getting a private scan early too...just seems such a long time to wait, glad everything was ok and you got the reassurance you needed.

He's on his way home gin & babysocks so I think I'll leave the test out next to a whiskey chaser!!

obsessedlex · 16/10/2015 18:00

Oh carrie how exciting - let us know how he reacts! And have a lovely happy weekend X

obsessedlex · 16/10/2015 18:02

How are you feeling now derbygirl? Xx

kezod · 16/10/2015 18:03

Carrie that sounds so exciting! Is it your first?

Derbygirl37 · 16/10/2015 18:09

I'm still bleeding and it seems to have got heavier throughout the day. It's still bright red and although my stomach mildly aches on and off, I haven't really got cramps as such. My usual monthly AF is pretty bad with horrendous cramping and really heavy flow, so this definitely feels different. I've got it into my head that my pregnancy will be ending though but DH keeps telling me that I don't know that for sure and that I should try and keep calm. He bought be lots of chocolate home too!! Thanks for asking Lex xx

JellyBaby26 · 16/10/2015 18:30

I'm finding it so hard to keep up on my phone!

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats on your bfps!!

I told my dh by asking for a decaf tea:)

Hopefully it'll all settle down Derbygirl. Thinking of you.

mrsmugoo · 16/10/2015 19:48

Telling parents was fine and then totally unexpectedly my best friend and her husband popped over to tell me they are 12 weeks!
I'm over the freaking mooooon for them as they've been trying for 2 years and I was beyond dreading having to tell them about me but now I'm so excited for us to be pregnant together! I'm a bit worried though that I blurted out that I was 6 weeks because my DH isn't here oops. But her DH wants to tell my DH when they see each other on Sunday so I'm sworn to secrecy. I just hope mine tells hers outs news then otherwise I'll be in trouble if he sticks to our original plan but I didn't! I just came out and felt like the right moment.

carrie1008 · 16/10/2015 19:50

There were tears obsessedlex! This is our third pregnancy, sadly I lost both of my previous before 12 wks. This is hopefully third time lucky, keeping everything crossed!

Potkettleblack2 · 16/10/2015 19:54

Mrsmugoo a similar thing happened to me last time-DH forgave me in the end! But I've just found out a good friend is 12 weeks today too but managed to keep quiet this time!
Derby-I wonder if you went to A&E would they refer you to the EPU? I don't know how that works at the weekend though. But it would be good for you to have a scan I think.

I had a scan today and all went well. She pushed my dates back by 4 days but exactly the same thing happened with DC1. The heartbeat was there, and she couldn't see a cause for the bleeding. She did warn that it is still early days

tigress23 · 16/10/2015 20:10

Thanks kezod, I feel better for the reassurance.

I'm glad your scan went well, potkettle!

Beano, my booking in appointment is at 9 weeks as they were all full up until then. Guess there are loads of June babies in my area. I'm hoping they can book my scan for 10 or 11 weeks rather than 12 because I suspect I ovulated early.

Thinking of you derbygirl Thanks

BiffleRoo · 16/10/2015 20:38

My booking in appointment isn't until I'm 10 weeks either so heaven knows when my scan will be!

mrsmugoo · 16/10/2015 21:00

I phoned to get a booking in appt today and it was a voicemail saying leave a message Hmm

MrsSparkles · 16/10/2015 21:12

I'm still waiting for midwives to call me, will give them a chase next week if I haven't heard from them, but there's plenty of time still. Though also trying to avoid half term!

Hope you're doing ok derbygirl xx

Osirus · 16/10/2015 21:35

Hope you're ok derbygirl.

I know what you mean about the worrytigress. I thought I would be excited having tried for years and then getting pregnant on our first IVF cycle. I'm so anxious! My symptoms are coming and going but the tiredness has gone. I'm 5w+2 but did a HPT today, my first ever, to make sure it was still positive! I had my initial result via a blood test last week. I can see that POAS might become addictive!

I didn't get to tell my DP, he was listening on the phone call when the clinic called with the news! We haven't told family or friends yet. We have an early scan on 27th October, so I will tell my mum then.

Stripes1983 · 16/10/2015 21:48

Hi ladies , can I jump on the June bus ? Due 4/6/16 with #1 found out last week and am 7wks tomorrow. My Drs wouldn't book me in with midwife until I was 10wks, although when they had booked me in for id be almost 11wks so called back and asked to move to week earlier as I can't wait any longer than I have to! We haven't told anyone yet!

bikingintherain · 17/10/2015 04:01

Insomnia strikes again.

obsessedlex · 17/10/2015 04:23

Me too biking

bikingintherain · 17/10/2015 04:42

I was even thinking yesterday how that had got much better. I clearly spoke too soon!

Sometimes I know it's my fault because I fell asleep too early or I had a nap after work. But today, no reason. Which makes me a whole lot more frustrated!

Lovelybeano · 17/10/2015 06:02

I'm the same biking & obsessed I was determined to stay in bed this time - it was far to cold to get up lol but I gave up at 530, just having a cuppa, catching up on posts then might start the chores while everyone else is snoring. I'm at work for a few hours this morning but then I'm hoping for a nice chilled afternoon & evening :) might make the kids Xmas lists because that's going to be here before we know it !!

fizzydrink1807 · 17/10/2015 06:32

Hi everyone!
I'm 37, 8 weeks gone with 2nd.
I think I'm possibly less tho so am due end of May/beginning of June.
I have a private scan booked today. Excited and nervous at the same time! I want to tell my dd when we are on holiday next week, but feel I just need to double check everythings ok before I do. Managed to get one for £35 which I thought was quite reasonableSmile
