Lovely news mrsmugoo!

Re. dizzies, I've been getting that quite a lot - it's not uncommon for me anyway as I'm one of those people who blacks out for a few seconds of they get up too quickly (no BP problems that I know of though) however it's been more frequent in recent weeks.

Welcome newbies! I haven't done my maths but I assume there won't be too many more new ladies joining now as due dates spill over into July. Exciting!

Is anyone else super-pleased to be having a baby with a summer birthday? I am! I've always wished I had a summer birthday (mine's in November) so that I could do things like barbecues and garden parties to celebrate. I strongly suspect that I will be vicariously planning outdoor birthday celebrations in future!

cautiousoptimist1 · 24/10/2015 15:08

Me too Princess, my family are mostly winter birthdays (November, December, January but Mum is early March) and when I shared the news this week, they were all excited about a summer baby at last! I wouldn't be surprised if Mum announced she'd bought a gazebo and barbecue and everything! My DHs family have mostly summer birthdays so he's a bit amused at our excitement Grin

MimiSunshine · 24/10/2015 15:34

Hi ladies, room for a late arrival? I think I'm about 3 wks which I guess means I'm really 5 wks so I may just sneak into June but I'm thinking July in all honest. Just about getting my head around this, keeping checking the test to make sure I haven't imagined the two lines

BiffleRoo · 24/10/2015 15:53

My mum cursed me for another June baby!!! DS is June as are my 2 nieces and 3 of my mum's sisters!

Rose2806 · 24/10/2015 15:53

Hi sunshine!

I really wanted a summer baby too, I was born in May and we had lots of lovely parties in the garden, can't wait to do that for my own children! My mum had a great imagination when planning stuff like that so I hope I'm going to take after her :-)

I've felt light headed a few times if I stand up too quickly, as lots of us seen to be experiencing that seems like mild dizziness is fairly normal.

I seen to be really hungry almost all the time at the moment, and until I eat something I feel a bit weird/slightly nauseous. Is that how morning sickness normally starts?!

Rose2806 · 24/10/2015 15:58

DH is attacking my packet of ginger biscuits- the cheek of it!

carrie1008 · 24/10/2015 17:15

Afternoon everyone! We had a night out for DP work anniversary last night. I lasted until 11.30 but am feeling it today! I'll be staying here rather than moving to FB. Congratulations to everyone that's joined in the last few days!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 24/10/2015 18:21

I'll be staying here rather than moving to Facebook too.

I've made appointments for my booking in (18 November) and 12 week scan (18 December). Now I'm just starting to get really anxious. I'm very overweight (obese really) and I'm so nervous about the midwives treating me badly, about being too fat to scan, about gestational diabetes....everything really. I have lost a reasonable amount of weight over the last year, but not nearly enough. I already feel like crap about it, and I think it's only going to get worse Sad

laughingGnomette · 24/10/2015 18:46

Yay mrsmugoo, thats great news!

I'm still friends with a lot of mums from the April 2012 antenatal group via FB but we didn't set it up until we were a couple of threads into our post natal group. It was lovely being able to see our babies grow up. There were loads of new ladies who joined us throughout the nine months of antenatal on MN so it would be a shame for this group to split so early :). Thats just my experience.

iamdivergent · 24/10/2015 19:01

I'm in the future group now thanks jellybean I probably won't post much til after the scan though and I will still call in here. I'm in another group on here too in the conception board, alot of them have had their babies now which is exciting

mrslewis2015 · 24/10/2015 19:17

Lovely to see so many posts today! My nausea is a little better today, but I expect that's because I've done literally nothing and been pampered all day and last night by my very excited hubby! He even gave me a foot rub.. Heaven!

I'm glad I'm not imagining the drool! Haha love having you lot to keep me feeling sane! Hope everyone with dizziness is coping ok, not looking forward to that!

Glad your scan went well mrsmugoo and congratulations to all the new Bfps!

Will join the Facebook group after my 12 week scan if that's ok, looking forward to being at that stage!

Mrspopper · 24/10/2015 19:18

Youandme I'm not getting weighed this time around. I'm happy to gtt tests etc but last time they tried to refuse a home birth based on bmi. I had a very uncomplicated birth. It's your pregnancy. We know about healthy eating, vitamins etc so if getting weighed is going to stress you out don't do it. Honestly. The midwife was suprised with my bmi as I don't look particularly overweight bit god it made me feel like shit!

Torfhinn · 24/10/2015 19:21

fiddledeedee, i had 2 measurements taken at my first scan, one dated me as 5+6 the other at 6+2, that's 3 days difference, same scan, same sonographer. So there is room for error at this stage. And as the others say, there's a heartbeat! Grin

Congratulations on the great scan mrsmugoo, so pleased for you!

rose, what you describe is as bad as my ms got last pregnancy, i hope the same is for you.

Welcome to everyone new, congratulations on your bfp's, especially those who've been through long term ttc or ivf Smile

MagicDucky · 24/10/2015 19:26

Hey ladies, looking for a bit of advice.

A few times now I've had some pain when sneezing. It feels like I'm being stabbed. It goes away straight away. I had this last pregnancy and my midwife told me it was round ligament pain. I'm only 6 weeks I thought that was far too early? Is anyone else getting this?

Torfhinn · 24/10/2015 19:31

I've had that pain as well magicducky, when i get up or move too fast. It's my second as well, so I'm guessing everything is relaxing a bit sooner/faster this time.

iamdivergent · 24/10/2015 19:38

Yeah me too. I have been kind of folding myself to ease the stabbing. DH thinks I am mental, he is lovely but doesn't believe that I could have symptoms already as we've only known for 4 days! Going by my lmp I am 5+3

MagicDucky · 24/10/2015 19:43

Oh good (well not good, it's a bit rubbish) I was worried I was losing my marbles haha!

BiffleRoo · 24/10/2015 20:16

I have been "obese" for all my pgs. DD1 I gained 5 stone, DD2 I gained 4.5 stone and DS I gained 20lbs of which he weighed 10!! I was given so much grief over my last pg and they were constantly banging on about gd. Made me so cross as my weight gain was so minimal. I now weight 1.5 stone less than when I fell pg with DS but I know I will get the same attitude again Angry

BiffleRoo · 24/10/2015 20:17

Incidentally I never had gd in any of my pgs

Lovelybeano · 24/10/2015 20:25

Made it through the day at legoland and kept my little secret safely hidden Grin

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 24/10/2015 20:42

I've got a family history of diabetes as well (types 1 and 2!)** so it feels a bit like GD is an inevitability. I just hope everyone isn't too awful to me - I'm dreading being made to feel like a massive shit for daring to get pregnant as a fat person. I had hoped to lose some more weight first, but I've had some issues with my cervix in the last year (more stuff to worry about - not sure if my cervix will definitely be competent) and the gynaecologist advised me to crack on ASAP in case the abnormalities return.

JoMalones · 24/10/2015 20:47

Carrie1108 I'm feeling miserable and sorry for myself! I've got an awful cold a dive turned into a grumpy cow!
Trying to keep up with everyone on the thread - will join the FB group in a few weeks.

iamdivergent · 24/10/2015 21:11

Hope you feel better jo

I'm knackered! Just watched Dr Who and I could sleep now.

JoMalones · 24/10/2015 21:48

Thanks Iamdivergent I've had a nap today until I got jumped on by 4 children! I just feel wiped and would normally love a couple of cold and flu tablets washed down with a glass of wine but instead water and paracetamol. Maybe chocolate might help!

BabySocks · 24/10/2015 21:58

Lots of people feeling uurgh, I'm with you, feeling hungover but without the pleasure of drinking yesterday! !!
