I am super tired today, I've had visitors all day, I've only made the beds so far and i know I've got the rest of the chores to do and prep tea before the school run then get my things ready for school and work tomorrow but I really cba so I thought I'd catch up on how you lovely ladies are doing instead :)

carrie1008 · 20/10/2015 14:31

AmIseeingRight · 20/10/2015 14:34

Morning and welcome to all the new bfp Flowers big congratulations

So after my big moan yesterday and thinking the worst & trekking to EPU, my symptoms came back with a vengeance and for the first time I've been sick, had to pull over on the hard shoulder on my way to work to empty my guts out. Still feeling rough

Lesson for me is be careful what you wish for Hmm

Lovelybeano · 20/10/2015 14:46

Oh no amiseeingright not the ideal place to be poorly!!! Hope you're ok xx

Belleboo23 · 20/10/2015 14:58

Done loads of ironing, hoovered top to bottom now I'm shattered and my back hurts! Still got swimming lessons to take dd to.....would like to fast forward to 8pm please!!! Wink on the plus side still no morning sickness.....have probably just jinxed myself lol

emma85x · 20/10/2015 15:19

@iamdivergent Congratulations!! We're in the same boat, we've been trying for over 2 years. I'm 5w + 4 today. I can't quite believe it - Absolutely amazing!!!

For all of you with morning sickness - So sorry to hear that, I hope you feel much better soon. I hear it can be a sign that you're having a boy! We'll see :)

I've just had a call from the MW and my booking appointment in on Nov 12th so I'll be 9 weeks then. It's my first so no idea what to expect! I'm considering going private for an early scan - No that I can afford it I'm just REALLY impatient and a bot of a worrier!

Rose2806 · 20/10/2015 15:19

We just can't win, I was almost looking forward to the reassurance of morning sickness but not so sure now! Has it been starting roughly around 6 weeks for most people? Hope everyone is feeling better soon.

Welcome and congrats to everyone new!

I'm sure if you don't do painting yourself and the room is well ventilated that will be fine :-) just try to minimise exposure whenever possible.

Good luck with your scan Gnomette!

Does anyone know much about going along with family skiing holidays when pregnant? Obviously I wouldn't ski myself but is staying at altitude and doing gentle walks ok? DH's family are going beginning of Feb so I'd be nearly 5 months, his mum doesn't ski so I wouldn't be alone doing other activities. Has anyone else been in the same situation?

iamdivergent · 20/10/2015 15:22

Thanks emma it's exciting isn't it Smile is there anyone else in Scotland in here, I'm in the SW

Belleboo23 · 20/10/2015 15:38

Rose...I got morning sickness at 6 weeks with dd can't remember with ds but it only lasted a couple of weeks with him and ages with my daughter. If I'm the same I'll be 6 weeks Saturday so will have to wait and see!!

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 15:53

MrsLewis, I've got IBS too. It was a great excuse the week before last when i couldn't come into the office due to morning sickness IBS ;)

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 15:55

Good luck with the scan, Gnomette!

lilygirl81 · 20/10/2015 15:57

iamdivergant I'm in Scotland too Smile

I seem to be getting evening sickness, which at least doesn't affect work, but poor DH is getting paranoid that it's him!

I'm not sure if our puppy can tell, he has been awfully sweet the last few days. He comes into bed with us for about an hour between 6&7 each morning, I dosed off and woke to find him pretty much face to face with me, hugging tight onto my arm

MagicDucky · 20/10/2015 16:05

I'm in Scotland too iamdivergant!! In the highlands.

All of my symptoms have gone I'm getting a little bit worried. Might give my doctor a call if nothing has appeared tomorrow.

Hello and congratulations to the new BFPs!

So sorry to hear about those who are having a hard time! Thanks

BiffleRoo · 20/10/2015 16:08

My sickness gets worse in the evening lily. I feel queasy all day and it gets worse as the day progresses. By about now I'm clinging on my by fingernails and counting down the minutes until DH gets home and can help with the kids.

bikingintherain · 20/10/2015 16:37

lemons hope you are feeling a little better? I really feel for you.

sickness in all it's forms sucks. The medication for me seems to be helping a bit and so I've been able to eat and drink a bit today, although have discovered the side affect of the meds is drowsiness and had a 2 1/2 nap this afternoon and am still tired. But I would exchange drowsiness for sickness any day.

Heads down ladies and push through we will get there.

MagicDucky after having a awful time of it last week, I've had no symptoms at all since Sunday. I've also been worried but I've been told it's just my body getting use to all the changes happening and by the end of the week i'll probably have a different set of symptoms to worry about.

MagicDucky · 20/10/2015 17:33

Thanks Snowflake that's reassuring. Glad this week is better for you though. Although the worry probably makes it just as bad!!

BabySocks · 20/10/2015 17:36

Welcome emma mrsun and divergent congratulations to you all after all that time trying :)

Hope biking madrigal lemons Iamseeing sickness improves soon, I will settle for mild nausea! ! And of course the rest of you are surviving too :)

Scan went pretty well, little baby blob with a strong heartbeat. However the gestational sac is a terrible shape, probably from the scarring from the ashermans :( I am seeing a consultant on Monday so he will have a better idea. .. still wait and see but am trying to think positive.

Hope your scam went well gnomette xxx

Rifka · 20/10/2015 17:37

Hi and Welcome to the new ladies! Flowers

Gnomette - how did the scan go? Hope all well!

I've been thinking about ante natal classes. This is my partner's first child so I'm wondering whether it would be a good thing if we go to some classes together. I have heard you have to book really early, I guess I am looking at April / May. Does anyone have experience of NCT classes or similar? Any advice? Thanks x

Rifka · 20/10/2015 17:40

Oh! Cross post with you, BabySocks, glad scan went well for you!

Snowflake16 · 20/10/2015 17:47

I'm always worrying, even though I've been extremely tired and feeling awful, I've not yet been sick ( I'm 8 weeks 1 day) keep thinking about getting a private scan before 12w for reassurance.

Welcome Mrsunsure congrats Flowers

iamdivergent · 20/10/2015 18:11

I didn't go to any nct workshops when pg either time so I don't have any advice unfortunately

laughingGnomette · 20/10/2015 18:20

Gin - what a frustrating situation with booking in. It's crazy how different the situation is depending on where you live.

Welcome all new BFPs!!

BabySocks - fantastic news with the scan but offering a virtual hand hold for your meeting on Monday. I really hope it goes well and they can put your mind at rest.

My scan went really well :) I saw the little foetus and heartbeat. The nurse remembered me from diagnosing my ectopic last time and was really chuffed for me, she even gave me a print out photo from my scan which was a lovely surprise. I got home and filled out my booking in self-referral form - hooray!
