Thanks biking , scan at 10 eek!

Welcome emma85 you must be thrilled adyer so long trying, congratulations!

It took a while for my sex drive to come back too. .. I just knew I wanted another asap so got on with it! :)

TinkerbellShar · 19/10/2015 23:26

I guess everyone heals differently as I had a tear and used tea tree in the bath so healed after about 6 weeks! Plus I'm not breAst feeding either so that didn't happen with me iv always had a high sex drive apart from the end of my last pregnancy. Like I said I was trying for my daughter for 3 years so having 2 when last year I didn't think I could have any at all is really a miracle

Lovelybeano · 20/10/2015 06:12

I healed really quickly tinkerbell it was just the thought of anything entering that area was just unthinkable to me at the time lol, a close friend of mine has a 13month age gap, they're 3 & 4 now and their little relationship is lovely to see :) xx

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 09:36

I saw my GP last night and he's going to try to get me a scan to put my mind at ease. Fingers crossed I hear from him soon!

bikingintherain · 20/10/2015 09:41

Well, the GP was very nice this morning, although I burst into tears on him. He's given me some medication to help with the nausea, so I'm hoping to start feeling a little more normal soon. He says if I'm not doing better by Friday he wants to see me again. He also was a little worried that I'm quite dehydrated and he tested me for high ketonic acid levels. Don't know what that means, I shall get on google. (Ignoring all of my own advice!)

MadrigalElectromotive · 20/10/2015 09:44

biking ketones in urine indicate dehydration and starvation. If it gets to 3+ you need to be admitted to hospital for rehydration treatment. I should know - I am in hospital having fluids at the moment!

bikingintherain · 20/10/2015 09:56

Oh no madrigal I hadn't realised you were so bad, are the fluids making you feel better? It can;t be much fun at all. Big hugs. How long do you need to stay in for?

Thanks for the info, I've barely eaten over the last week, and DH told me this morning that I looked like I'd lost weight (I don't own scales so don't know) I'm trying to drink, but it has just made me feel so sick I probably haven't drank as much as I should have.

I managed to get a sample of urine this morning but it was so dark in colour and not much of it, it doesn't take a genius to work out I'm dehydrated. Hopefully the medication will take an edge off the nausea and I'll be able to stomach more.

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 20/10/2015 10:15

Hope the meds work.

I am feeling robbed off as I called the doctors to book with the MW. I was told I have to wait until 10 weeks and that takes us into November and they can't book appointments in November yet. WTAF?! November is in 10 days time. And I know it's bullish*t because I booked before 7 weeks last time, but couldn't be bothered to argue. Gaaaah. I work full time an hour's commute away so kind of wanted to get the appointment sorted.

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 10:21

I hope you both feel better soon madrigal and biking! Severe dehydration is no fun. I've been there many times for non-pregnancy reasons

Lovelybeano · 20/10/2015 10:29

Fingers crossed the meds work for you biking , hope the fluids make you feel better and you're out of hospital soon madrigal xxx

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 10:36

That's so annoying ILoveGin. I also don't get my appointment until later (9 weeks). I don't understand why they can't book for November yet for you. That's a really stupid system!

GuessHowMuchILoveGin · 20/10/2015 10:40

I guess it will stop me getting overexcited, although I can't help but feel she was stringing me along!

Was really hoping to get it sorted during my week off at the start of November. Oh well.

tigress23 · 20/10/2015 10:52

Fingers crossed that you get an appointment for then, Gin!

Torfhinn · 20/10/2015 11:21

Hope you feel better soon madrigal and biking Flowers

Hope the scan went well baby!

iamdivergent · 20/10/2015 11:25

waves just took a hpt this morning and finally, after 2 years of trying, I've got my bfp! Used a fr and it showed up straight away, really strong. I use Ovia and it's giving me an EDD of 22/06/16 making me 4+6 today.

I've to hand in a sample of fmu at the drs tomorrow so that they can confirm then they'll book me in for a long drs appt before referring to midwife. Last time I was able to self refer but apparently can't do that anymore.

Can't believe it's finally happened, just trying to keep calm just in case!

bikingintherain · 20/10/2015 11:33

Thanks ladies for the kind words. It really does help having nice people around!

Sorry for ise struggling to get going in on the system. It's crazy how it's so different from one place to the next.

And big congratulations divergent you must be thrilled.

bikingintherain · 20/10/2015 11:33

#those

justexpecting · 20/10/2015 11:35

Congrats iamdivergent, I cannot imagine how excited you are after trying for so long. Does anyone else feel like this isn't real? I haven't had many symptoms yet so I just kind of feel like it isn't really happening?! I guess if you've been unlucky enough to have a lot then it feels very real! Also I have just moved into a new house and we are doing it up so painting etc - I googled and it seems ok to paint if ventilated but I am a little nervous that before I knew I was I was glossing away a week ago and had a headache cos it was so smelly, and now I know I dont plan to do it myself (my DH can) but I will still be around it in the house (with windows open of course!) anyone got any views? x

iamdivergent · 20/10/2015 11:39

I am biking I had been wondering where after was as I'd been having pains for about 10 days but it must just be things starting to make room for the little one! I was shocked to say the least because I was on the verge of stopping so this couldn't have come at a better time.

Looking forward to getting to 'know' everyone on this board, it's nice knowing that there are people at the same stage as me, a few of my friends and my sister are pg too but all around half way Smile

iamdivergent · 20/10/2015 11:44

It's such a worrying time early pregnancy isn't it! I'm sure I was painting when I was pg with dd2 and she's turned out fine.

The only symptom I have is that I feel bloated! And not very hungry where as I usually am always hungry, I had severe hg both times previously so I am cautious about that happening again. When I get my Dr appt I might see if she will prescribe me some of the tablets I had last time.

cheshirem2b · 20/10/2015 11:46

biking I had ketones in my urine through the end of my last pregnancy - I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes but it was diet controlled so they think that affected my ketone levels. It is easier said than done but try to keep nibbling on things like crackers if you can and get fluids in to you.
It is crazy how ever area is different re booking in appointments. I have mine on Friday when I think I will be 7+5w... got to remember my fmu and my booking info pack that I need to fill in... problems in previous pregnancy ? Yes, GD... problems in previous labour? yes, EMCS... problems post birth with baby? Yes, lazy feeder! Joy of joys! Wink

lemonslemonslemons · 20/10/2015 12:51

I feel so ill and so tired and ill and ill and tired!

Cyclizine helps a touch but I still feel so crap. And only 6 weeks! Waaah!

mrslewis2015 · 20/10/2015 13:24

Gosh madrigal and biking I hope you feel better soon! Must be so exhausting and frustrating!

Congratulations divergent, you must be so excited! What a wonderful thing after all the time!

justexpecting I'm sure you'll be ok to paint with the windows open, but I guess if it makes you feel bad then stop?

My first day back at work today since I found out... Feeling so neauseous... Horrible! Luckily I get quite ill with my IBS so nobody is suspicious, don't want to say anything even to my best friend who I work with until we've told our parents! feel like everyone must know, it's so big for me, how can they not know what I'm growing I my belly! Haha

Luckily the kids I work with are being super cute today so they are making me feel better!

laughingGnomette · 20/10/2015 13:26

Sorry to all of you with terrible morning sickness, it must be awful :(

laughingGnomette · 20/10/2015 13:29

I've got my scan at 3:30 today, I feel sick with nerves.
