Belvedere · 19/10/2015 11:43

Same Mrsmugoo. Maybe it's a Bristol thing?

Although feeling v anxious today and still got the left sided pain so have a scan this afternoon. Fingers crossed its all ok.

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 12:21

So sorry derbygirl Flowers xxxxx

PrincessPunzie · 19/10/2015 13:29

Hi all, hope everyone is doing okay.

I had some very light bleeding over the weekend so I rang 111 and was booked in at the antenatal unit last night. Got referred to the EPU, where they did a scan this morning and everything is fine - saw baby's little heartbeat on the screen and the sonographer said it was highly unlikely that I would miscarry as a result. Such a relief! Utterly drained by a weekend of worry, but I'm feeling so much more optimistic now that I actually feel like going shopping for baby clothes or something! I can highly, highly recommend an early scan for peace of mind (though not the two days of worry that preceded it, of course). I feel like someone who is going to have a baby now, rather than someone who is just bricking it all the time.

Sorry to hear of your loss derbygirl I wish it had been a better outcome for you.

mrsmugoo · 19/10/2015 13:31

So so sorry for your loss Derby, hopefully you will be back very soon with your rainbow baby Thanks

vitalite · 19/10/2015 14:06

So sorry Derby girl!

Gnomette I know what u mean. I'm booked in for early scan fri 30th but not sure whether to bother booking in with midwives at clinic now or wait till after scan.

bikingintherain · 19/10/2015 14:09

Such good news princess, I'm pleased things have gone well. Hopefully now you can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.

BiffleRoo · 19/10/2015 14:11

Have spent all morning wrapping 150 advent book sets which thankfully seemed to take my mind off the nausea. Even managed a little nap with DS Smile

Told my mum our news this morning too and her reaction wasn't as bad as I feared thankfully. Weight off my mind too.

So sorry derby to hear your sad news. Sending hugs and positive thoughts for a rainbow baby in the very near future Thanks

Rose2806 · 19/10/2015 15:08

Really sorry to hear your news derby, look after yourself and I hope it happens for you again really soon xxx

Just on my way home from my scan and everything was normal! So happy and relieved after 4 days of stress, was up at 5am this morning crying my eyes out I was so worried/scared about what was going on. Apparently the thing they saw by my ovary on Thursday was just bowel. Going to force myself to relax now and actually start enjoying thisSmile

Anyone else worrying about mild aches and pains- obviously still get checked out but they said as.long as they come and go and don't get worse not to worry too much.

Belvedere really hoping all goes well with your scan this afternoon.

Pregnancy Books wise I have the day by day pregnancy book which has lots of nice detail in it with pictures and recommended exercises etc. I can actually face looking at it again now Smile

AmIseeingRight · 19/10/2015 15:27

so sorry derby Flowers

Hi ladies so went to the EPAU, saw a really nice doctor who told me its all normal and bar a UTI all seems fine, also my symptoms have come back including the nausea and they even booked me for an early scan next week when I'm 8 weeks just for reassurance but as i had no craps or bleeding there was no reason to worry just my bloody hormones on overdrive. hate the paranoia and anxiety, so not fun

felt much better and will be taking my mum to the scan Smile

AmIseeingRight · 19/10/2015 15:29

cramps obviously Blush

tigress23 · 19/10/2015 15:35

I'm glad you get a scan, AmISeeingRight.

I'm wishing I was having this baby in Canada (where I'm from). On national healthcare you get a 6-8 week early scan as the first scan. The 12-week scan is the second one. I guess there are too many people here for that to be feasible, though.

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 15:44

Booked in with the midwife today now that the doctor has confirmed pregnancy and I can't get in until the last week in November :( I've got to phone the nurse regarding anti d injections because I can't remember when I have my 1st one , does anyone else know ? Xx

lilygirl81 · 19/10/2015 15:51

Could I join you all? Got my BFP for #1, EDD seems to be 25 June 2016. We live in Aberdeen and at the moment we are going to be on team Yellow, but will see how we last. I have an early midwife appointment on Wednesday as I've previously had an ectopic so was told to call them as soon as I got my BFP, and I should get an early scan next week or there abouts.

Symptom wise I'm fairly free at the moment, apart from being bloated and super tired. Plus I seem to be getting nauseous at night, but that might just be coincidence

carrie1008 · 19/10/2015 16:09

Great news for you both Rose & AmIseeingRight I think you never really hear about these aches and pains that happen so you always imagine the worst! These first 12 weeks are awful!

becky140290 · 19/10/2015 16:12

Feel too nervous to ring the docs for booking in. It just doesn't seem real!

Belvedere · 19/10/2015 16:53

Great news rose. I'd totally convinced myself I was having an ectopic over the weekend (well Google told me so!) but just got back from scan and all ok. Measuring at 6 weeks and saw the heartbeat. Now to hope it sticks!

Sorry to all having a tough time, this is the worst bit for sure Thanks

PrincessPunzie · 19/10/2015 17:14

Thanks bikingintherain yes I hope I can relax and "enjoy" pregnancy a bit now! Good news about your scan also Belvedere - isn't it just such a relief!

Congrats on your BFP lilygirl - I have been bloated a lot since mine too. I normally take pride in my flat tummy, so some days I wonder if I look pregnant already!

mrsmugoo · 19/10/2015 17:18

Congrats on your scan belvedere! Where did you have it done?

Violet88 · 19/10/2015 17:35

Lovelybeano I'm having the anti D injection but couldn't remember when the midwife said it would be, but looking on NHS website it says its at 28-30 weeks.

Lilygirl hi congrats!! Do I remember you from the October ttc bus? x

mrslewis2015 · 19/10/2015 17:37

I've been looking for a thread like this one since we took our test on Saturday! Was looking in the wrong place, very new to mumsnet and can't seem to keep up with it all!

Anyway, would love to be involved if that's ok!

I've only just found out we are expecting baby #1 after TTC for 6 months, still in shock really! Booked in to see the local midwife (I'm in north Bristol) for the 17th November when I will be 8 weeks! I'm 3+6 weeks today!

Has anyone else got quite bad nausea already? I have chronic IBS and it seems to be the worst its ever been recently, and really bad since we've found out!

Anyway, will try and read all the previous posts, but until then hello everyone, congratulations xx

Lovelybeano · 19/10/2015 17:39

Great news rose & belvedere Flowers
lilygirl I stayed yellow with dd & ds and loved finding out when I'd given birth, I have a very fond memory of my mum pushing all the docs out of the way to tell me 'she's a girl' then shouting 'it's a boy' and jumping up and punching the air lol
This time unfortunately we're going to find out because 2 children are going to have to share so there maybe some room changing and decorating to be done xx

cautiousoptimist1 · 19/10/2015 17:44

So sorry derbygirl, thinking of you. Look after yourself xx

I'm glad you get a scan AmISeeingRight, hope it puts your mind at rest.

Thank you all for the book recommendations, I will have a look into those.

bikingintherain · 19/10/2015 17:46

Welcome MrsLewis and congratulations.

I feel the same about being on team yellow beano but all our baby stuff is in the loft at my mum and dad's and we will need to bring it over to the Netherlands so it really does make sense to find out. Having said that I think we will probably try and keep it a secret beyond our parents. (Although I don't know if that will be practical with a DD who is 5 and very observant and chatty.)
