Good luck for your scan fizzydrink

Belleboo23 · 17/10/2015 07:09

I don't remember struggling to sleep with my other 2, been up since 4. Dh followed ten minutes later to check on me bless him thinking I wasn't well so we will both be tired today! Are these private scans very expensive xx

mrsmugoo · 17/10/2015 07:26

Mines going to be £150 but I think if you go to those dedicated baby ultrasound companies you can get them for under £100. Mines being done by a consultant at a private hospital so I guess it's more because it's actually part of my private medical treatment.

mrsmugoo · 17/10/2015 07:28

Lie in til 7 for me today but I just went into my DS's room to get him up and he's snoring his head off! Typical though on the day we have plans at 2pm and I'll never get him to take an early nap now!

obsessedlex · 17/10/2015 07:31

fixzydrink where did you manage to find the £35 scan? Bargain!
Hope all goes well xx

jellybelly85 · 17/10/2015 07:32

Hello Grin

Newbie to the group. 5 weeks along. EDD 16th June. Realised something was up when AF was due but there were no cramps and instead I was feeling nauseated allllllll day. Look a test the next morning and, ta-da! Very excited - it's my first.

Feeling very impatient about getting to the Booking appointment and scan...

obsessedlex · 17/10/2015 07:35

Despite waking up v early I managed to get another hour or so but will guiltily admit that I'm actually still in bed Shock
OH has gone into work for a couple of hours
DD is watching tv in her room like an angel but I can hear the horrible hounds wreaking havoc downstairs so my curiosity won't let me stay put for much longer for fear of utter carnage!!
I HAD a pile of ironed washing sitting on the edge of the sofa last night and I doubt that's still there now!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend xxx

Belvedere · 17/10/2015 07:40

Yes where did you find one for £35 fizzydrink? I looked yesterday and the cheapest in Bristol is £75.
Seeing as though my booking app isn't till nearly 12 weeks my scan is going to be more like 13/14! So annoying! The lady was so unhelpful yesterday, I'm going to go in and see if they will let me come in earlier.

fizzydrink1807 · 17/10/2015 07:44

I got it at 4d babyface in Newcastle under Lyme x

NiceOneSquirrel · 17/10/2015 08:35

Hi guys :-) hope it ok to join. I got my bfp yesterday on cd25 (my cycles are all over!) and have a dad of around the 23rd June. This is dc3. Dd is 6.8 years and my ds is 2.1 years. I'll have a brief scroll through when I get chance but it seems you're all very chatty!

NiceOneSquirrel · 17/10/2015 08:37

Urgh, I really should spell check before posting! I have a dd*

AmIseeingRight · 17/10/2015 08:50

morning!
welcome and congratulations

Derbygirl hoping all is well. If possible maybe go to A&E as they should be able to refer you to EPAU at least for a scan. Flowers

I think my nausea has settled down, it was never that bad anyway but now its happens just once or twice a day, my fatigue has also improved and insomnia has left the building.

The only symptoms I feel is real and constant is my breasts and gas (sorry tmi), otherwise I would forget that I was even pregnant. i have also been tempted retest or book an early scan as i'm now 7w+2 but keep chickening out Hmm, ignorance is bliss and i worry it would be bad news, so just going to wait it out.

I cant wait for my 12wk scan then I can finally believe that I'm pregnant and share the news with my friends, i've not even told my best friend, which is so strange to have this life changing thing going on & not being able to talk about it.

tigress23 · 17/10/2015 08:51

Apart from wee breaks, I slept 9.5 hours last night. DH crept out of bed at around 8am and came back with breakfast for both of us. What a sweetie!

tigress23 · 17/10/2015 08:54

Oh and welcome and congratulations to the new people!

A £35 early scan sounds amazing. I didn't realise they could be so cheap! Must look into the options around me a bit better. Looked at one place which charged £150 and just assumed they'd all be too expensive. I could pay up to £50, though. I'd love to see a heartbeat.

Stripes1983 · 17/10/2015 09:09

seeingright I'm the same haven't even told my best friend of 20 years and it's killing me! I initially wanted to call her straight away but OH wants us to wait until 1st scan and now the more i go on in worried that if I tell her I'll jinx it, so hard not to be able to share it all with her though!

obsessedlex · 17/10/2015 10:11

Anybody else finding that their once sore boobs have now eased? #Worriedlex !!

nehagarg · 17/10/2015 10:54

Mine have eased way back lex. They feel almost normal again, though still huge.

MagicDucky · 17/10/2015 11:00

TMI, but my nipples are killing me!!

Belleboo23 · 17/10/2015 11:06

Mine have eased off loads aswell, 5 weeks ish today.....feels like its going so slowly lol but im sure we will all be saying in May/June its gone so quick!! xx

NiceOneSquirrel · 17/10/2015 11:37

I still be my 2yo and nursing is pretty uncomfortable right now. Can't see it getting any easier!

fizzydrink1807 · 17/10/2015 11:44

Scan went well. They have dated me at 8+3 so due date is 25th May which earlier than I thought

carrie1008 · 17/10/2015 12:00

That's great news fizzy

I really hate this stage of knowing you're pregnant but not really having many symptoms. I keep looking at the test sticks to check they really were positives!!

obsessedlex · 17/10/2015 12:25

Thanks ladies, yet again you all help me to stop panicking - feel free to tell me to stop it!! Great news fizzy - don't leave us though Confusedxx

bikingintherain · 17/10/2015 12:28

My sore boobs have definitely eased now (6+2), which is nice, although they are still mahoosive.

But morning sickness has definitely kicked in. Not actual sickness but nausea for all but about 1 hour a day, and last night I woke up feeling sick. I had to call in sick twice this week as i couldn't move without constantly retching. Am very envious of those without ms.

mrsmugoo · 17/10/2015 12:57

No real ms here - a few food aversions and slight nausea if I get too hungry but that's it. I think symptoms will pick up in a couple of weeks so I'm enjoying how kind this pregnancy is treating me so far!
