Glad I'm not the only one snozz. It makes no sense to me. I guess I should just be prepared for every eventuality. I want a vaginal birth really ... Ideally at mlu. Found hospital environment and the induction a bit much last time. Trying to stay calm and relaxed about it all but for a control freak its hard!! Those must have been some pants BTW!! Grin

No didn't go to the show teddy. Sounds like you've had some journey getting to this point. I hope you have been getting good advice from the consultants and have some good RL support as well. Team blue! I love my DS so much I'd happily have another boy but team pink here. Every one tells me I'm so lucky... But the thought of pink and a hormonal teenage girl one day freak me out!

Cheshirehello79 · 31/10/2015 01:54

Well good luck to all those taking iron tablets I must say I'm still taking multivitamin and omega 3 everyday as some days I don't feel hungry ( I still don't understand those who say they eat for 2 cause frankly speaking on my 3rd trimester I've gone off food - crazy! )

My bump is huge well I think it is but everyone say I'm still very small I now measure 38cm

The poo stories made me chuckle !

Happy teddy i do hope all is well with the baby

Mrsdiddly I had same issue as you but 32 weeks scan confirmed it has moved so thank God for that. Apparently it could take up to 37 weeks to move so put fingers crossed - there's exercises to encourage movement such as lying on the birth ball, gently squats etc... As your consultant or Google them.

Re weekend :-)

Got my house warming party/ baby shower Infact I've just finished all the prep ( I know .. It's late) and thoroughly looking forward to it. Hope it doesn't rain . P.s it not themed ( haha)

Have fab weekend everyone

Have a nice party Cheshire!

I also can't eat as much as I used to even though I'm meant to be having 200 calories a day more! But I do think I might be making up carlories with biscuits.... But my nausea has returned which sucks. It's not 24/7 like it was but some days it is all day, most days it's evening only.

Have a nice one people. We are off to antenatal to do 'baby things'. Bit excited :-)

SnozzberryPie · 31/10/2015 09:21

A month ago I was eating loads but now my stomach is too squished. Dd had to finish my breakfast today (she's nearly three and we started with the same size portions!). I am compensating by making sure that most of what I eat is cake or chocolate Grin

Cheshirehello79 · 31/10/2015 22:50

Had an amazing day with lots of treats so made up:-)

Hope you've all had brilliant day - happy Halloween

I had planned on a lovely lazy Sunday doing sweet FA... Chilling on the sofa bingeing on Netflix when all of a sudden I think I've wet myself! Dash to the toilet and lots of pink spotting, cue panicked call to hospital told me to put on a pad and if it's wet in an hour I need to go in...

I've only got massive big night pads i got for after baby is born (actually had to cut it in half to fit in my undies) and an hour and a half later it's dry even though I've felt "wet" while sitting worrying... Really don't know what to do baby feels like she has moved down loads, I'm not in pain but I feel uncomfortable... I don't know what is going on or what to do :(

MarkingMyPlace9 · 01/11/2015 16:15

PizzaKat If your not feeling 100% then phone the Hospital and tell them you'd like to go in for Monitoring. There not gonna say no, and you need to go with your Gut. Hugs Thanks

SnozzberryPie · 01/11/2015 16:37

Hope everything is OK pizzakat, I wonder if it could have been a bit of your mucus plug?

I've been having a lot of pains low in my pelvis, they don't feel like contractions or anything and they come and go depending on the position I am in, sitting in the car seems to be the worst. I am currently stuck in the car with dd as she is napping and waking her up doesn't bear thinking about!

chopsface · 01/11/2015 20:28

Hope you're OK pizza and you went in for checking x x update when and if you can

Hope you're OK too snozz! Oh these last weeks are going to be tense looking for 'signs'!

I'm absolutely shattered like I knew I would be. Family party last night and stayed at the in-laws. Bed at 1am and the worst sleep I'd ever had in my life!! Hard mattress, not enough pillows, woke up from the little sleep I had with aching neck, back, shoulders, hips!! It didn't help either that the in-laws keep the landing light on and we had to have the door open as the dog sleeps in the bedroom we were in! So great galumphing Labrador padding in and out, nails on floorboards, licking her bits noisily and snoring! Dh got drunk at the party and was sick so we had to hang around at in-laws until gone 3pm for him to recover enough to drive. I was so tired on the way back I was hallucinating faces in the motorway signs!!

Work tomorrow and have had no weekend to myself :-(

Metalhead · 01/11/2015 21:06

pizza I hope you're ok, it sounds like it might have been a bit of your mucous plug coming away. Apparently it can come off in stages (though mine came as one massive blob last time).

Sorry I've been a bit quiet, had DD1 to entertain on Thu & Fri as it was half term and have been feeling pretty rough since Wed, just a sort of weird cold with a banging headache, sore throat and generally feeling very bleurghy. Really hoping my first 'proper' day of maternity leave tomorrow when DD1 is back at school will help make me feel better, I intend to do absolutely nothing and just veg on the sofa!

SnozzberryPie · 01/11/2015 21:33

My mucus plug came out with my waters last time but I remember there being some little bits of blood in it. My waters broke dramatically at the start of my last labour, a few weeks before I was expecting anything to happen, so I'm a novice at the whole looking out for signs of labour thing.

Chops that sounds terrible, is it possible you could call in sick tomorrow?

Cheshirehello79 · 02/11/2015 01:52

Oh pizza hope all is well- I do hope you've got your hospital bag ready just in case.

I did absolutely nothing today in fact sleep till about 3pm and now I'm wide awake.

Chops - don't envy you going work whilst still tired. I'm shattered all the time now don't know if I would have managed working so happy with my decision to go off early.

Braxton hicks are constant now and some very painful and dreading the real thing. Can't believe almost 4 weeks to go and almost 1 week till full term .

chopsface · 02/11/2015 06:41

6.36am and I'm up for work. Had a horrible dream that I'd lost the baby at full term and then I was trekking through fields and jumping rivers and birds were committing suicide!! Urgh!!!!! Apparently dh had a bad dream too and at one point he was twitching in his sleep like a dreaming dog and I could hear him whispering "fire, fire!"

As for braxton hicks, none here! Wish me luck staying conscious in work today!

Hope you all stay well x

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/11/2015 08:17

Blimey! What a weekend some of you have had.

pizza hope the dampness hasn't returned and you have been checked out. I was induced last time so have zero experience at plugs and waters going naturally. Try not to worry xx

metal happy first proper day of maternity leave. Sofa sound perfect!! I'd add lots of TV and chocolate to that day.

Glad you had a great time on Saturday Cheshire!

What a horrible dream chops and tough weekend. Hope you get through work OK today.

So today my plan is to make a real start on my hospital bag seen as I've not managed it this weekend. Dh and I are looking forward to my next placenta location scan on Thursday... Hoping for good news. Playing on my mind a lot that I might have to adjust my thinking to a section, the risk of a bleed and what we'll do with DS if anything happens. Xx

Cheshirehello79 · 03/11/2015 01:18

Chops oh dear what a horrible dream.. Hope your day went ok at last not long to go till you finish work so hang in there ( she says :-)

It's official my nights gave turned into days and versa versa - I can't sleep and feeling very uncomfortable was a bit sick today hope the sickness is not returning .

Completely forgot but have my last appointment 35+ 6 appointment tomorrow ( today) so will know if all ready to go / baby ok and growth etc is ok. Last time to see beanster in action whilst still digging on my bladder and lungs :-) will keep you all posted.

Mrs diddly is yours tomorrow/ today as well? If yes hope the placenta has behaved and moved ( keep us posted )

Mines thursday Cheshire hope yours goes well today. Enjoy seeing bubba!!

Cheshirehello79 · 03/11/2015 20:30

scan update: well beanster is no longer beanster it's a well beautifully formed baby ( guess I've done a brilliant job :-)) and 1.5 centile engaged which apparently is good.

It was quite emotional and overwhelming and the talk was all about labour and birth plan.

I also saw an anethesist because of my initial Low posterior placenta and fibroids. I was told If not moved at 36 weeks we are looking at c section but at present all is looking well - though still saw him to go through if want epidural as pain relief and what other pain reliefs available.

I've not decided in any birth plan in such - all I asked was I want to be the first to see and announce baby's sex and skin to skin. I've also requested gas and air and should I really need it then dimorphism and if that doesn't work then epidural/ c section if required and if advisable by the consultants.

Felt like it's all getting so real and all the exciting baby bump are soon to become a reality and I'm going to be a mum:-) ( ok I'm sobbing !)

Metalhead · 03/11/2015 21:12

It's all getting real now isn't it?! Glad you had a good scan cheshire.

I washed the first lot of baby clothes today and moved the crib into our bedroom. Also packed most of baby's hospital bag now.

On the downside I still haven't managed to shake this cold I've now had for a week, in fact I felt worse again today. I had something similar in the first trimester where I'd feel better one day then awful again the next, and that carried on for about 2 weeks... it's notthing too bad, mainly just headache and sore throat and a bit sniffly, but it's really annoying!

Cheshirehello79 · 03/11/2015 21:27

Metal - are you washing all your baby stuff?

I was told not to bother so not washed anything - most of it is new though ...

OP posts:
Cheshirehello79 · 03/11/2015 21:29

P.s for all those first time mums I was told get few bottles of lucozade / ribenna for d day apparently they are good in giving you energy and helps not being sick

OP posts:
Metalhead · 03/11/2015 21:54

Yes I'm washing everything cheshire, I always wash new clothes before wearing them and the old stuff has been sat in the attic for 5 years so needs freshening up!

I got some sports drinks for labour last time and they did help keep my energy levels up as I didn't really feel like eating anything, so would second that advice.

mrsdiddlydoo · 04/11/2015 18:15

Cheshire pleased your scan went well! It really is getting real!! My turn tomorrow.

metal rubbish your cold won',t clear off

I tried to sort through old baby clothes last night but failed. All a bit too real. Dh is going to help me later. I wish I had been more organised putting them away after DS. 12 months today I was having emergency surgery for my last mc. And now look at me! Bump galore. Hormones definitely playing a part in my emotional state at the moment. So close..

How big are your hospital bags ladies? I thought I was packing lightly but seem to have filled a bag almost and still not put everything in.

mrsdiddlydoo · 05/11/2015 17:40

Placenta still low... Overlapping os. Have to wait a week for my consultant's appointment to find out what happens next. Feeling calmer than I did about possible c section.

Cheshirehello79 · 06/11/2015 15:55

Ahh! Diddley but then again it's not the end of the world. Most important thing is that your baby is fine and there's options. I just don't like how they are making you wait till next week though looks like nhs your end do take their time.

Chin up and keep us posted.

I had a bit of a scare with some yellow discharge which I thought was my mucus plug and called triage but all is well it's just a bit of discharge that does happen sometime phew!

Sorry about your placenta diddly :-( what's the next step?

Eventful weekend for me! Had an nct session on Saturday and then we all went for a late lunch. Got home about 4.30 to several missed calls on the landline and then it rings again. The Midwife phoning about the bloods I had taken Friday afternoon. Can I go straight to hospital to see a Dr?! After being at the hospital for a whopping 8 hrs until gone midnight, turns out I have obstetric choleostasis and need monitoring and a liver scan and a consultant appointment!! I might need inducing at 37/38 weeks, which isn't far away now and I feel unprepared!! Trying to keep calm and think straight for what I need to do! I'm not panicking until I see the consultant though and need to phone for an appointment tomorrow.

Hope the rest of you had a more relaxing weekend!
