Haha. Me neither Snozberry

Metalhead · 26/09/2015 15:32

Well, I'm not saying my current ones are the height of underwear fashion, but these ones really are granny pants!

Cheshirehello79 · 26/09/2015 21:19

Leaking - haha only spotted it - predictive text

Well I bought 2 packs ( 5 in each) Bridget Jones and tried one but ended up opening the whole pack and they are the most comfortable thing man has ever created. I'm waiting for another m& s sale and Definetly getting another pack. So comfy at night.

Started decorating the nursery today ny trying different paint testers.

P.s are you all doing your kegel exercises ?

OP posts:
Metalhead · 27/09/2015 20:29

Yep, I'm doing Kegels every day cheshire as want to avoid any further damage to my pelvic floor after DD1.

Urgh, I'm feeling really rough after going for my flu jab yesterday. Anybody else had a bad reaction to theirs? Might have to call in sick tomorrow if I still feel like this.

Cheshirehello79 · 27/09/2015 21:44

I'm getting my jab on Thursday - is it that bad metal - I'm worried now as I've already got achy joints :-(

SnozzberryPie · 27/09/2015 23:48

I'm doing pelvic floors when I remember. I had a forceps delivery with dd and although I don't have any problems from it now I do worry about the long term effects.

I had the flu and whooping cough jabs at the same time last week and the only side effect was sore arms for the next day.

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/09/2015 08:15

I'm going my pelvic floor when I remember but it's not that often. Had forceps last time too snozz.

Does anyone find scar tissue from previous labour really sensitive? I had an episotomy last time. It healed fine and has never caused me any problems but now I'm pregnant it is so sensitive. Assume it's the extra blood flow down there. Bit scared about tearing or having to have another this time...

No jabs yet here... Gp usually offers them. Will probably only have the flu one though. Never had bad side effects from them before.

Metalhead · 28/09/2015 08:25

Maybe I was just unlucky with the jab; probably didn't help that we had a really active weekend including a trip to London yesterday. Will take it easy at work today! Grin

mrsdiddly I've been really swollen and achy down below since about 20 weeks and also have quite a lot of scarring from last time, I wonder if that's related? One of the reasons I'm going for a section this time, I dread to think what state I'd be in after another vb...

SnozzberryPie · 28/09/2015 08:43

Yes also feeling very swollen down there, I don't remember it happening last time so maybe it is related to scarring from last time. I mentioned it to the midwife and she said it might be thrush and prescribed canesten, but it hasn't made a difference.

mrsdiddlydoo · 28/09/2015 12:53

Def not thrush for me. Sure its the scar tissue being a bit ouchy. I'll mention it to the consultant on Thursday but doubt it matters.

Cheshirehello79 · 30/09/2015 21:54

Growth scan today 31+6 but baby was in breach and couldn't see a thing apparently is very common . Glad my placenta has moved and its on right position, was told on my 20 weeks appointment that has low lying placenta . Was given rough baby weight 4.2lb which means baby is in perfect weight and looks like by full term they approximate I'll have between 7lb - 7.4lb baby.

Finished work today - hooray and nursery mission starting tomorrow . I'm getting so excited about beanster now.

Going first antenatal classes on Sunday :-)

Woo for finishing work today Cheshire!! How exciting!

I'm all moany because of a consultant's appt this morning. Booked in for a growth scan next week now. Trying to be positive at least I'll get another sneak peak at the baby Smile

Cheshirehello79 · 01/10/2015 13:41

Well I was all excited about scan yesterday only for beanie to be in breach so the best shot I could get was the cheeky little thing's bottom and intestines haha. Couldn't even get a picture cause the baby is quite big now and all the shots were awful :-( not in a bad way but could either get shot of the limbs or do but not full baby shot.

Nursery in progress but strained my wrist now - don't ask how I did it !

I'm really late to the party. Can I still join in?

Dc 4 due 28th of December, finally expecting a boy after three girls. I haven't done anything pregnancy-y this time round and am suddenly feeling the Yen for some baby chat!

SnozzberryPie · 01/10/2015 21:53

Welcome needle! I'm in awe of your four children, I'm worrying how I will cope with two...

Needle · 01/10/2015 22:13

Hi Snozzberrypie,

Don't be in awe- one of these days we'll work out what keeps causing it!

My eldest is 5, then 3.5, then 18m.
Out of interest, are there any mums in the group who are anticipating any health or special needs issues? I only ask because I have a 3 year old daughter with Down Syndrome, and I would have loved to have someone to talk to when I was pg with her.

chopsface · 02/10/2015 07:42

Can't believe you've finished work already Cheshire well jealous! 5 and a bit weeks to go for me now! Gonna start the nursery this weekend though :-) hope dh pulls his weight as I practically decorated the whole house single handed when we moved in 6/7 years ago!

Welcome needle to the last 10ish weeks :-) 4 kids wow. I'm going to be happy with 1 :-)

Had my glucose test yesterday and worried about the results :-/ my wee sample was 'really quite sugary' last week at the midwife's, in her words...

Metalhead · 02/10/2015 10:01

Yay for finishing work cheshire! 12 more days to go for me so not too long. And good news that all was looking good at the scan. I've got another one on the 28th, when hopefully I'll also get my date for the section.

Welcome to our little club needle! I don't think any of us on her are expecting any health issues with baby, though of course you can never be sure.

Hope your glucose test comes back ok chops.

I had a really achy back and bump yesterday, which was a bit worrying. Seems better this morning, though I haven't felt much movement yet today. Usually she has a good wiggle after breakfast. Will keep a close eye on it for the next few hours...

Needle · 02/10/2015 14:27

That's good to know Metalhead, I was curious because it seems like lots of people are having scans still- are third trimester scans a thing now? I've never had one, feel a bit jealous!

Metalhead · 02/10/2015 14:47

My scans are because we did have a scare at the 12 week screening, I had really high hcg levels which can be associated with placental problems later on apparently. I pushed to see a consultant and she ordered two extra growth scans at 28 & 34 weeks.

Needle · 02/10/2015 19:07

That must have been horrible. We had very low PAP-A levels with dd2, but all her nuchal scans were fine, so we didn't go for extra tests. Otherwise I'm becoming very well known to my local homebirth teams for having utterly uneventful pregnancies!

I hope the scans are going OK x

chopsface · 02/10/2015 21:57

I'm having another scan at 36 weeks to see if my low lying placenta has moved :-)

Soooooo glad the weekend is here :-)

SnozzberryPie · 03/10/2015 08:54

Needle I am having a problem free pregnancy so far, touch wood, but DD was born slightly prematurely so I have had some extra checks this time. Are you planning a home birth? I am hoping for one if I go to term and everything else is well.

mrsdiddlydoo · 03/10/2015 10:00

Ooo homebirths! I wish I was brave enough. Hoping for very local mw led unit here assuming growth is OK, placenta moves and I don't go over and need inducing again. My scans are due to my low bmi and low lying placenta which I assume will move because it did before.

Welcome needle Smile

When do you get your glucose test results chops?

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Needle · 03/10/2015 20:15

My last three were all at home, number 2 was unassisted, so as long as all goes well these last few months it should be at home again. We're very lucky in that we're literally three minutes from St Thomas', so we're brilliantly placed should anything go wrong. I can't recommend it highly enough though, it's a wonderful way to have a baby. it's all the stuff that comes after that scares the crap out of me- the idea of having 4 under 6 is frankly horrible!
