I'm scared of going into hospital again- I didn't have a great experience with them last time, especially on the post natal ward. The idea of having the baby at home sounds ideal. I didn't need an epidural last time and mostly just wished the doctors and midwives would leave me alone to get on with it. I'm also really close to the hospital. Touch wood this baby will stay put till 37 weeks so I can give it a try.

Needle four under six does sound terrifying, do you have much support?

Needle · 03/10/2015 23:39

Su...port? I think I've heard of that. Is it something to do with bras?
Sorry, I'm being sarky- I'm pretty much on my own, sort of. My dh and I run a small theatre/ cafe in central London so there are always waitresses around for 5/10 minute childminding, and dh works from home because we live above, but he works mainly nights, so isn't much help. My mum and sister aren't close by, but they do as much as they can. We'll survive! Our main problem is stopping the middle one from taking her clothes off and wandering downstairs in search of sweets during shows.

Hello, Can i join? >waves< Smile
Im 28+1 with DD3, DD1&2 are 1.5 and 2.5 so 3 under 3 for me and premature grey hair

Had a quick flick through the posts but not read every one, hope every one is having a happy, healthy pregnancy

chopsface · 04/10/2015 17:02

Hi 3times welcome to the group! 3 under 3, my you have been busy! This baby will be my first and most likely, last. It took us years to get pregnant and I've not enjoyed pregnancy most of the time! Was very nauseous and sicky up until about 23 weeks!

Shall we do a little intro for the 2 new girls?

I'm chops, 35, married 7 years, expecting dc1 Dec 14th, team blue :-)

SnozzberryPie · 04/10/2015 17:11

Welcome 3times. I'm 37, living in sin Grin with dp for 15 years, we have a dd age 2yr 9 months, having a boy this time.

Needle a theatre / cafe sounds like great fun. I bet your customers wonder what kind of establishment they've wandered into when they see your dd...

Needle · 04/10/2015 17:40

Nah Snozzberrypie, they just assume it's some kind of crunchy performance art!

Hi 3timesacrazy, I'm expecting my 4th, (my eldest is just 5) so we can sit in a corner and rock backwards and forwards together. I've got 3 DDs too, this one will be our first boy (finally!)

I'm 29, married 5 years, 27+6 today, so due 28th. Given that my others were 2, 10 and 2 days early, the chances of it being Christmas day are worryingly high. Although at least it means I won't have to cook the turkey this year.

Metalhead · 04/10/2015 18:36

Hi and welcome 3times. I'm (just turned) 36, DD1 is 5 and I'll be having DD2 during the first week of December by planned C-section. I couldn't even contemplate having another baby until DD1 was nearly 3, so hats off to you and needle...

mrsdiddlydoo · 04/10/2015 20:51

Welcome 3times.

I'm 34, DS is 2.5 and I'm 29+3. 2mc on route to getting to here so generally anxious but its getting more real. Edd is 17th Dec but DS was late, induced in the end so expect a Xmas/new year baby. Team pink! Eek. No idea what I'll do with a girl!!

Hats off to you ladies with lots of little ones. Smile I'd love to have more but not sure we will after the journey we've had to get to here.

I am getting so uncomfortable and exhausted. No idea how I can do another 11 weeks... Or more...

Metalhead · 04/10/2015 21:19

I know how you feel mrsdiddly, I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and time just seems to have slowed down, can't believe I've got to do this for another 2 months! Pregnancy and I are definitely not friends...

chopsface · 05/10/2015 07:10

30 weeks today :-) !!!!

mrsdiddlydoo · 05/10/2015 08:44

Woop woop chops!

Mega sore throat here. Already given in to paracetamol. This always happens when I have my busiest weeks. Today will be sponsored by cbeebies...

Needle · 05/10/2015 15:02

I know the feeling mrsdiddlydoo. My Monday is definitely brought to you in association with Peppa Pig and biscuits.

chopsface · 05/10/2015 17:08

Full 8.5 hour day in work to celebrate Monday for me! Still 5 weeks til maternity, yawn. I'm so tired and breathless just doing nothing let alone working.

Painted the nursery yesterday Grin so aching arms to boot! I did round the edges with a paint brush and dh filled in the rest with the roller! Think I got the hard part! Especially going round sockets and switches and the curtain rail! Now we need furniture!

Needle · 05/10/2015 21:19

Did anyone else's arms really hurt after their flu/ whooping cough jabs? I had mine at lunchtime and my arms are so sore I feel like I've been punched! I remember this after anti-d but not from the flu jab.

SnozzberryPie · 05/10/2015 21:43

Mine did needle and the nurse did one in each arm so they both ached too much to sleep on...

Needle · 05/10/2015 22:11

Im still obstinately sleeping on my back, as sleeping on my side hurts my hips too much. I try and put it off till the last minute!

mrsdiddlydoo · 05/10/2015 22:29

I try to sleep on my ßide but always wake up on my back! Not been offered any jabs yet. Turned out today was also fuelled by copious amounts of cake and biscuits. Went to a new pregnancy yoga group. Bit Clichy but it's so nice to have some time to myself. No idea what I'll do tomorrow with DS if it rains again all day. He wasn't Keen on going outside today to jump in puddles. Feel a bit like I'm minding a caged animal when we're inside a lot.

SnozzberryPie · 06/10/2015 07:34

Mrs I had to ask them about my whooping cough jab! I think they said anytime from 28 weeks and given my history of early babies I wanted it asap.

Sadly I've now got to the stage where sleeping on my back is uncomfortable Sad

chopsface · 06/10/2015 07:44

My arm wasn't too bad after the flu jab but I've heard the whooping cough is worse. Not getting that until next week though. mrsdiddly I'd ask about the jabs, the GP is doing mine not the Midwife.

I've not been able to sleep on my back for absolutely ages. As soon as I do for any length of time my lower back aches really badly, plus I'm worried about the cutting off blood to baby thing. My sides are uncomfortable though too. Aches in shoulders, hips and knees plus pins and needles!

Bump ache today :-( struggled to walk to the bus stop this morning, going to have to try take it easy. Plus my nausea off trimester 1 seems to be creeping back :-(

Metalhead · 06/10/2015 07:50

My arm only ached a little bit needle but I felt quite rough after the flu jab for about 3 days.

You have to ring your GP mrs to get the jabs, they don't automatically give them to you (at least not here).

I also can't sleep on my back anymore, bump is far too heavy. Still sometimes wake up on my back but not as often as I used to, so I guess my body knows what it's doing. If you're still comfortable sleeping that way then you're probably ok.

Do you have a soft play place nearby mrs? I know some people hate them but we've always found they're great to let DD blow off some steam when it's raining.

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/10/2015 11:23

We've done some painting and walked to the local shop and now have put a film on. We're both tired so think I can get away with it. Soft play always seems a good idea but DS likes you to join in and I physically can't atm. Might need to attempt more soft play though in the coming weeks.

Growth scan in the morning. Despite my whinging and anxiety, it will be good to see her again.

Metalhead · 06/10/2015 18:24

Good luck with the scan tomorrow, hope everything is ok.

I'm so tired again this evening I could cry... had a really bad nights sleep last night as baby was constantly kicking my bladder.

SnozzberryPie · 06/10/2015 18:33

Urgh snap metalhead and do has gone out for the evening so I am doing dd's dinner and bedtime on my own. I will be going to bed myself straight after her...

Cheshirehello79 · 06/10/2015 19:55

I've been quiet ... Other words shattered with moving home and decorating .. I know I'm mad but getting there.

Well intro .. I'm 36 first timer and by the looks of it this is IT! Phew 31+ 5

Im now officially on maternity leave ( whoop whoop) but not sure which is worse working or working ( decorating) . My arms ache too infant have strained my wrist moving things about.

Nursery almost done and loving it will share picture .

Went to my first antenatal class on sun and was really good enjoyed it. Went through maternity ward and I'm quite confident I'm in safe hands apart from seeing the forceps ( oh dear! ) hope it doesn't come to that.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow mrsdiddly

Missed you Cheshire! Hope the move went OK! Hope you had plenty of help, don't do too much! I had achey arms yesterday from painting Sunday and I had help and my nursery is minute

Didn't go to Aquanatal tonight as had really bad nausea today :-( in bed with Holby and a glass of milk. I seem to have entire restless body though and anxiety type breathlessness.
