Hi ladies! He's here!! Baby chops was born 26/11/15 at 16.49 weighing a whopping great 8lb 6oz!! It was a long wait to start labour after going in Monday night to start the induction process. Most of it due to lack of beds to be transferred for the next step! After waiting all day Wednesday for a bed on delivery to get my waters broken manually ended up being a harsh delivery with forceps and a trapped shoulder! I have tons of stitches and a very swollen foof! But yes, apart from that we are OK

Cheshire sounds promising. Everything low down and hardly able to walk was how I felt on Tuesday after my induction pessary and I had bean 2 days later!!

SnozzberryMincePie · 27/11/2015 21:01

Congratulations chops, although I'm sorry you didn't have a great time of it.

Not sure if this has been linked to before but there's a postnatal thread for the November babies here : www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/2509616-november-2015-newborns-and-neurotics

mrsdiddlydoo · 27/11/2015 21:30

Congratulations chops what a great size! Sounds like a long experience but glad he's here safe and sound now. I assume you're home now? Take it as easy as you can. I had forceps first time round and it was very sore afterwards. And that's without a trapped shoulder. Well done mummychops! Was starting to worry a week bit about not hearing from you. Xx

Cornish pasties mrsC my dh would love you even more for them... And the freezer!

Thinking of you Cheshire hope your symptoms turn into something

Metalhead · 27/11/2015 22:21

Congratulations chops, so glad to hear your baby boy is finally here! I'm sorry you had such a rough time, make sure you take it easy and get plenty of help. Also, don't be afraid to ask for some good painkillers if you haven't already.

Saw the midwife today and she said baby's head is really low, which probably explains why I've been having lots of pelvic pains and really strong Braxton Hicks the last couple of days. I'm a bit worried I might not make it to Wednesday, though hopefully I'd still manage to get a CS even if I went into labour before my date.

Cheshirehello79 · 27/11/2015 23:50

Many congrats chops - you did it !

Hope you back home well and your amazing baby boy - I want mine out now I've had enough

Congratulations chops, that's great news! Hope the swelling and pain goes down quickly and that you are enjoying the newborn cuddles!

MrsCrimshaw · 28/11/2015 14:24

Hello, nice to meet you chops and congratulations! It's all worth it in the end. I'm very envious of your newborn cuddles :)

Are we all getting lots of tightenings? I had some strong period-type pains in the night. And godawful restless everythings.

MrsCrimshaw · 28/11/2015 21:59

Soo jsut had a little trundle to the hospital for swollen legs and high BP. All good now, nothing like a little drama on a Saturday night. Hate hospitals though :-/

Cheshirehello79 · 29/11/2015 00:42

Hope you're ok mrs crims - I've been having period type pains and sort of mild cramps through out the say and still going but nothing heavy so still waiting in anticipation ............

Pollyputhtekettleon · 29/11/2015 06:12

Yes cramp pains when I'm. Chilling at might the last few nights. I'm 39wks exactly. I stated getting these 1 wk before baby came last time. But who knows when things will kick off!

mrsdiddlydoo · 29/11/2015 09:14

Woken up with a bloody sore throat. I don't need yet another cold right now. If it turns into a cough I am not going to be impressed... Loving all your crampiness! Sorry to hear about your hospital adventure mrsC but glad you got checked out. Better safe than sorry.

chopsface · 29/11/2015 18:34

You trying to get rid of me snozz?!

Good point though, where do we go from here?

All the crampings sound promising ladies, newborns here soon :-D

Cheshirehello79 · 29/11/2015 19:18

It will be nice if everyone keeps in touch ladies - chips are are you getting on with the little one.. I've still got no progress though been feeling sickly all day today so I'm definetly on to something ...

One very wriggly baby in here and the odd cramp but nothing going anywhere! Bored now and ready to meet the littlun
Mrsd hope your cold gets better soon. Chest freezer was delivered this morning!

Metalhead · 29/11/2015 23:15

We had a trip to hospital this eve due to reduced movements, but thankfully all is fine (and of course now it's bedtime she's kicking up a storm again!). Just three more sleeps to go... I think I might just hibernate until then!

mrsd I had the beginnings of another cold Fri and Sat, but seems to have resolved itself now. Fx yours will do the same.

chops I hope you're doing ok and getting to grips with being a mum!

mrsdiddlydoo · 30/11/2015 07:54

Been coughing all night, but so far its all bearable.

2 sleeps now metal! Glad you got checked out and baby's fine.

cloudjumper · 30/11/2015 09:38

Glad to hear that you and thebabies are OK metal and mrsC

mrsD Hope you can get rid of that cough! A friend of mine had to postpone her elcs because she had a bad cough, and they were worried she'd tear her wound...

I'm going to meet my baby tomorrow in 3 weeks! Have been getting really stupidly emotional over little things - yesterday I heard a piece of music we used to play at Christmas at home when I was growing up, and it set me off blubbing Blush
Got baby clothes everywhere at the moment, sorting through everything, we have waayyy too much! And I now have everything for my hospital bag, now all I have to do is pack it Grin

Happyteddy · 30/11/2015 17:27

Congratulations chops...very happy to know that your baby has arrived safe and healtySmileSmile.sorry to hear you had a rough time

Happyteddy · 30/11/2015 17:29

I am too hving restless nights and slight periods like cramping.....

Happyteddy · 30/11/2015 17:32

Had an interesting day today....called up the day assement unit with symptoms of food infection. They sent me for a checkup to triage where it took around 3-4 hours.....they monitor the baby heartbeat n ones contractions if any etc. in the end i came back home

mrsdiddlydoo · 30/11/2015 19:29

Glad the monitoring went OK teddy

3 weeks cloud omg! Smile

I am definitely feeling emotional. Had steroids and pre op stuff today and feel a cross between wired, excited and super nervous about Wednesday. Most excited I have been since this pregnancy started. I can't believe the end is in sight. Coughing hasn't got worse so I'm feeling confident everything will be OK. Bit scary being told I'm at a greater risk of a ga because of the low lying placenta which I thought would stress me out but I'm feeling pretty calm considering.

metal what time do you have to go in? We have to be there at 7am. No idea how I'll sleep tomorrow night!!

Metalhead · 30/11/2015 21:47

Glad everything's ok with you and baby teddy.

mrsd we have to be in at 7.30am, but I will have to set my alarm for 6am to take the anti sickness tablet and one ranitidine, did you get those too? Had my bloods taken today, but the lady only managed to get half a tube, so hoping they won't have to repeat them on the day. The bit I'm most apprehensive about at the moment is actually getting the cannula in my hand, they always really hurt!

I don't expect to get much sleep tomorrow night, so hoping for one last good nights sleep today... seems a bit bizarre that I'll be having a new baby in less than 48 hours! Eek!

mrsdiddlydoo · 30/11/2015 22:52

metal I've ranitidine to take at 10pm tomorrow and then more at 630am on weds and something else so sounds similar. Hospital is 30min away so probably up at 6am too. Bloods done today and saw anaeastist, got sexy stockings, etc. Last steroid injection tomorrow. Feel like I live at the hospital already!
