metal glad your section shouldn't be affected by the strikes.

I'm only only 36 wks. I'm seriously struggling with everything. So nauseous. Still. More bloody discharge tonight. I'll mention it at my consultant's appointment in the morning. Lots of movement so not too worried, except I'm not sure going into labour is something I'm meant to be attempting with my recent hospital stay and low placenta. I seriously don't know how I would manage another 4 to 6 weeks of this if I was allowed to labour vaginally. Hoping they firm things up tomorrow. Haven't had a date for a section, but I'm assuming that's because I spent the weekend in hospital.

mrsdiddlydoo · 20/11/2015 17:05

So we're looking at a section at 38 wks now which will be the first wk of December. All a bit surreal!

Metalhead · 20/11/2015 17:37

We might have our babies on the same day mrsd! Grin

chopsface · 22/11/2015 10:06

Sorry for late update, did write a reply the other day but mumsnet ate it and I couldn't be arsed to do it again!

So had a growth scan Thursday at 36+3 and it showed a massive baby!!!! He's gone off the top of the scale!! So the Dr thought that it was a good idea to induce early for that reason as well as due to the cholestasis! I've got to phone them tomorrow morning at 8.30 to see if they have space for me and if there is I'm going in!! 37 weeks tomorrow!!

Hope you're all well x

Metalhead · 22/11/2015 12:36

Eeek a November baby for you chops! Best of luck tomorrow, I hope they can fit you in and everything goes well. I've read that growth scans can be a bit unreliable so hopefully you won't have to push out an enormous baby! Shock

SnozzberryPie · 22/11/2015 19:54

Good luck chops!

Cheshirehello79 · 22/11/2015 23:55

Good luck chops

I've been having some weird discharge and I've got a baby whose proper trying to stretch causing me lots of discomfort. I kind of feel a bit weird and I don't think I've got much time to wait so fingers crossed.

Good luck Cheshire when the time comes. I take it you have a plan in place for getting to the hospital. Who is your birthing partner?

Still waiting game for me, no room at the inn for induction this morning :-(

mrsdiddlydoo · 23/11/2015 11:46

Will they call if they get room chops or do you try again tomorrow? Hope you're baring up OK.

chopsface · 24/11/2015 00:07

It's midnight and I'm hooked up to a monitor on the induction ward. I was called at 8.45pm to say a bed had become available! Had it in my mind I was sleeping in my own bed again tonight but goodness knows how much sleep I'll get tonight!! Dh has just gone home and left me to it. After the monitor I'll be having an internal and then probably a pessary put in for up to 24 hours. Feels like I'm keeping the other ladies in the ward up as I'm having stuff done at this hour!! There are 4 of us in here. From eavesdropping one is in early labour and waiting for a space on delivery, and one has a planned c section in the morning and the 3rd is also waiting for a space in delivery to have her waters broken. Warned I could be in for many days! Brought 2 books in...

Cheshirehello79 · 24/11/2015 04:12

Good luck chops - I'm wide awake since 8pm agrrrrrrrr!

My mum and sister are my birth partners and mum staying with me as we speak hopefully for a bit till all is well to help out so I'm covered :-)

Welcome mrsC on the home stretch now. Is this your first?

chops sending unmumsnetty love and hoping you are OK xx

5 sleeps to go here. Or restless nights. Not much sleep happening.

Cheshire sounds like you could be next Smile

MrsCrimshaw · 27/11/2015 15:55

cheshirehello79 (mucus plug how exciting!) and mrsdiddlydoo (no sleep here either) thank you for the welcome! This is my first baby and I have no idea what to expect. I'm having really poor sleep, restless legs, chronic fanny daggers and I've just about had enough! Ooo and baby keeps kicking me in the ribs (ouch - as I type!) and squashing my bladder just to let me know it's still there.

We don't know what sex the baby is. I'm hoping for a water birth but we'll see. It's such a relief to be at home now. I had a colleague from work visit today (school) - I am so glad I don't have to pretend to be competent any more!

I just bought a chest freezer. It's made my day!

mrsdiddlydoo · 27/11/2015 16:26

Don't tell my dh you've bought a chest freezer mrsC he's desperate for one but we don't have the room. Thank goodness... For us anyway!

I seem to control my restless legs by eating bananas, pregnancy and iron supplements and eating lots of salty crisps, but if II forget them they are awful at night. Adding to my not sleeping. Magnesium is meant to help but I've not tried it.

MrsCrimshaw · 27/11/2015 19:03

Mrsd It's the first place I've lived where we have the room (in the garage - I had to persuade OH to move some of his tools lol). I'm hoping to do some batch cooking buy tons of fishfingers and oven chips next week and get it stocked up ;)

I've just had a blood test and been prescribed iron tablets as slightly anaemic so I'm hoping this will cure the restless legs. I've been using magnesium oil every day too, though it hasn't seemed to make a difference.

I've just had to stop tidying up after dinner as my cankles are looking a bit big so I clearly need to put my feet up for a while!

Cheshirehello79 · 27/11/2015 19:29

Update - nothing much been happening today apart from baby feels very low and I'm in absolute agony / walking / sitting/ sleeping etc. I've got very very mild period pains too keeps on coming and going so hope this is a start of something scarrrrrrry!

Well I'm lucky enough to have mum staying with me do she's made lots of lovely dishes and been getting lovely back massages ( she used to be a midwife do know exactly what to do ... Who needs tens machine haha) I'll keep you all posted.

Hope chops is ok xx

MrsCrimshaw · 27/11/2015 20:14

Oooh cheshire you've just given me an idea - my mum is coming down next week, I'll get her to make some cornish pasties for the new freezer (proper ones, made by a proper cornishwoman!) :D

Good luck with your symptoms. Sounds like things are definitely progressing...
