Whilst the rest of us chowed down on runny eggs and shellfish, deeply sneezed out a baby!...It's superb scans all around and only the occasional nose-vom on JS Grads 38!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 38th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is here

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

some days i give up trying to work sky. I just don't have the energy/motivation to do work.

Jcandy · 07/09/2015 13:28

Erm....In about 18 years time sky........at least that's how it's feeling to me!

I bought bump bands from new look but they were only good for the few weeks after I struggled to do up the button and definitely not with jeans.

My midwife has phoned up the hospital and the mental health team there will be discussing my case at their meeting tomorrow so hopefully I'll hear from them after that. She again said I should take some time off work. Is it crap that I'd feel like a failure for doing that even though I know dragging myself into work is not helping right now

picklethistle · 07/09/2015 13:47

Don't feel like a failure JC because your not. This pregnancy lark is hard enough without you feeling extra poorly on top. You are doing the best thing for you and your bump and I know it's hard but please try not to feel guilty. Your doing amazing! Flowers and Cake for you.

batfish · 07/09/2015 14:00

jc definitely don't feel like a failure if you need to take some time off, if someone was suffering physically then they wouldn't think twice about it so just because you are not feeling well in a non physical way it doesn't make it any less valid, take the advice and give yourself a break

jellypi3 · 07/09/2015 15:22

hope you're ok jc Flowers

purplewhale · 07/09/2015 15:31

JC there's no shame in needing some help lovie. It's very common for pregnancy to mess with your head. I've been up and down throughout. Lots of us have struggled at times. If you need more help then don't feel bad. You and your baby are too important!

We've got a private room with a TV. Purplebaby has been well behaved on the monitor and we went to have a look in special care in case we need it. I've unpacked mine and babys stuff and it all feels very weird.

The lovely midwife was on from last week and she calmed me down loads as I got a bit panicked when we got here. She's explained everything to us which helped. There's only me booked in for tomorrow so far so we should be first down.

There's a cot in my room for him, with his nappies and clothes next to it - it's surreal! I'm now waiting for someone to put my drip in

jellypi3 · 07/09/2015 15:36

That's mental purple, you will have a baby in that cot tomorrow! It's really exciting :) You're finally there! Is DH spending the night with you or will he join you first thing?

SecondCupOfTea · 07/09/2015 15:45

Oh Purple that's soooo exciting!

My mystery appointment turned out to be...wait for it....yes, yet again, dildo-cam scan. They told me that cos I'd had an abnormal smear (yeeeears ago!) followed by a surgical procedure, they have to check throughout the pregnancy for any shortening of my cervix. Today's scan looked fine, and has set my 'baseline' cervix size that they check against from now on. I have to go every 4 weeks, or more often if they find it's starting to shorten too early.

It does mean that I get regular mini-scans. Today strop-baby was in another strop and still refusing to face the camera, but was in a rather cute inverted buddha position (upside down with legs crossed) Grin

CarrotPuff · 07/09/2015 15:45

Purple, how exciting, best of luck!

DS woke up at 5.20 this morning. And his nap was the grand total of 40 mins. I want to cry.

gaggiagirl · 07/09/2015 15:49

jc you should be signed off until your mat leave starts you poor thing I really hope you find a solution.
purple I feel a bit emosh about you becoming a mammy in less than 24 hours. I'm just so excited and happy for you.
honey my mat leave today has been filled with scrubbing and dusting on my hands and knees and clearing up the epic mess the carpet fitters left. I'm now doing my childs homework while she shreds paper!

Jcandy · 07/09/2015 16:15

Thank you everyone you're all lovely! I'm back from work now and jut about to have a nap. Going to see what the hospital say tomorrow since Im not in tomorrow anyway and go from there. Mat leave is still 9 weeks away!

Purple that all sounds very exciting and I'm glad you've got a nice midwife on

purplewhale · 07/09/2015 16:24

Awww thanks lovelies. I don't think I'd have got through this pregnancy without you all. Feel totes emosh myself too

DH is going home, we will both sleep better tonight if he's not here. He can stay over the rest of the week but I don't think I want him to. It's a small room and his snoring will wake me and the baby

Ga steady on woman, you need some rest! Good grief! or is it just me who's been a total lazy cow on mat leave

Tea it's good they are keeping an eye on you. Scans is always good, esp before they start moving Smile

We've had a failed cannula attempt and now waiting for someone else to have a go Sad

batfish · 07/09/2015 16:44

Oh my goodness purple this is so exciting! Hope you manage to get a decent night's sleep tonight ready to meet your baby tomorrow, can't believe it!!

Hope your cervix behaves for the rest of your pregnancy tea - yay for extra scans at least!

I want to do something baby related that doesn't involve leaving the sofa.....is there anything I should be reading?! All I have read about when the baby arrives is the first few chapters of 'what to expect in the first year' but that was weeks ago so I don't think I probably remember anything - will I be able to look after a baby without any instructions?!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 07/09/2015 17:58

Yay purple! You must be so excited to see your bubba!

jc you really need to not be so hard on yourself... Take the time and rest and heal and know you are doing the best you can for your baby.

oneyorkshirepud · 07/09/2015 18:15

JC be good to yourself. I am very fortunate that I don't suffer from mh issues (at the mo, I know they can happen to anyone at anytime) BUT I have found that I have been more anxious about things since being upduffed. Both baby and non - baby related things. I presume it is down to all the changes and hormones. So I can imagine that for some people these anxieties are hugely magnified and that must be really difficult to deal with. Plus the physical aspects as well. Urgh!!! Hope you have plenty of Cake.

Flowers for you Carrot. I hope you get more sleep tonight.

Glad your scan went well Tea.

An early night for you tonight Purple! Does it feel like Christmas where the earlier you go to sleep the quicker Santa will arrive?

I know you are not giving birth to Santa, you know what u mean!

purplewhale · 07/09/2015 18:38

Yep early night tonight. Just sent DH home. Mum visiting soon. Got my drip in now. I've got butterflies eeek

gaggiagirl · 07/09/2015 18:38

Awwww baby purple. Cant wait! I'll still try and be on purplewatch tomorrow but tomorrow I have...
Scaffolding arriving

purplewhale · 07/09/2015 18:38

Bloody hell Ga!

batfish · 07/09/2015 19:05

Oh Christ ga you're mad! I can't even be arsed to write a shopping list! Hope it all goes well.

gaggiagirl · 07/09/2015 19:21

Meh it'll be ok. One of those days where it'll all fly by and all be done with in one day.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 07/09/2015 19:48

How's the cross ginger settling in ga?

gaggiagirl · 07/09/2015 19:58

Totally fine sky although we've had tears and hysterics every morning. Its obviously just the dropping off bit that she's acting up for.

CarrotPuff · 07/09/2015 21:16

Best of luck tomorrow purple, try to get as much sleep as you can.

JC I'll echo what everyone said - take a couple days off sick, they might be exactly what you need to get some of your strength back. And don't feel guilty about it!

I think I would have won The Most Toxic Farts Award today. They are making my eyes water...

I'm shattered so already in bed. Night night viroids!

gaggiagirl · 07/09/2015 21:32

Night night carrot
I'm epi no ing. Going for the 7cm tonight grrrrr!

Jcandy · 07/09/2015 21:58

Go for it ga! You can do it! Good luck with your busy day tomorrow too

Bat I'm not sure you can really learn it all from a book. Baby hasn't read the book so just kind of have to figure it out as you go I think
