started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Q definitley it's nice to learn from everyone who's experienced on here :)

Rosieblossom123 · 08/09/2015 14:48

LCR77 hi five scan buddy :) 16th Oct needs to hurry up!! hearing baby's heartbeat on the 21st sep really can't wait, it'll be the first time normally I see it flickering away in the ultrasound.

Crispylicious · 08/09/2015 15:32

Just popping in quickly to say all ok at 12 week scan today, phew! Baby was asleep, until I made the sonographer wake it up at the end! Measuring bang on for 12 weeks and DD of 22 march confirmed. 20 week scan on 2 Nov, aggggeees away. Good luck everyone else with scans this week!

Me624 · 08/09/2015 16:51

Rosie I'm your 20 week scan buddy! Mines on the 16th too, and got my 16 week midwife appointment on the 23rd so not long. I'm not sure if I will hear the heartbeat at that one or not? I think some midwives try and others don't as it's still a bit early to hear it I think.

From what I've read we might start feeling flutters around 16 weeks onwards so hoping mine start earlier. But the nhs website says some people don't feel it until 25 weeks which seems like forever away! Hope I don't have to wait that long!

BeautifulLiar · 08/09/2015 17:10

Yes Rosie I was gutted!

20 week scan on October 21st and 16 week appointment on September 28th.

MyNameIsSuz · 08/09/2015 17:24

Hmm, did you all have to ring and book your 16 week appointments? I got my scan through quickly for the 20th October, but the hospital and the midwives are quite separate, midwives are based at a combination of the local midwife-led unit and the gp. I'm not sure who I should call to book my 16 week appointment, the doctor or the midwife unit. What did everyone else have to do?

MyNameIsSuz · 08/09/2015 17:25

And that's awesome news Beautiful Smile

BeautifulLiar · 08/09/2015 17:44

Thanks Suz :) I've got a horrible feeling they're not going to give us a picture of the scan as they're going to be rushing aren't they? As they're not even supposed to be doing scans at that time.

Re 16 week appt, my midwife booked it after my (failed!) dating scan. We're lucky enough to see the midwife here whenever we have a scan.

QforCucumber · 08/09/2015 17:48

suz I was advised by my midwife at my booking appointment to call my gp surgery after my 12 weeks scan and book in for the 16 week appointment with her there. Just called them today and asked for an appt with the midwife for 16 weeks and they told me the days she's there - seemed quite easy really.

Me624 · 08/09/2015 18:04

Suz I call my GP surgery too to arrange all my midwife appointments. I called yesterday to arrange my 16 week one the week after next and was chastised for leaving it so late ... apparently she's only there one day a week so gets booked up very quickly. They managed to squeeze me in though. I thought almost two weeks would be plenty of notice!

Paperblank · 08/09/2015 18:25

WELL WE DID IT Grin

Happily married and about to whizz off on a little Honeymoon to Bath but will lurk and catch up.

Had our NT scan at which the little lump initially refused to co-operate (!) and the results came back great so no worries there. My EDD is now 6th March but I am still down for an induction on 21st February but please can I still stay as a March Mum?

I can't believe I hit the 14 week mark on Sunday... DH is being brilliant he told me yesterday that the baby is the size of half a banana but he was wondering how big this banana was!

BeautifulLiar · 08/09/2015 18:41

Congratulations Paper!! Sounds like an amazing weekend - and you're due on mother's day! :) ok, ok, so you're cheating and skipping to Feb, but we don't mind really. Have a great honeymoon!

MyNameIsSuz · 08/09/2015 19:02

Thanks everyone, will call the GP tomorrow.

They can't do that beautiful, don't stand for any rubbish! If they are any kind of decent people they will feel terrible that they made a mistake with your appointment and messed you around so much.

BeautifulLiar · 08/09/2015 19:06

I'm not great at being assertive, Suz, but will really try tomorrow if I need to! Not really my fault the baby didn't budge and the antenatal clinic is so full is it?!

vroc81 · 08/09/2015 19:19

Good news on your scan Beautiful and I'm sure they will print you some pics they had ours printing out while she was still measuring and then asked if we wanted them as she had already done them...

Congratulations *paper!!

And thanks will also phone up for 16 week appointment had completely forgotten!

I'm holding out on telling work until next week, after a pay review... I've worked with them long enough to know that's the thing to do but itching to tell them all now!

MyNameIsSuz · 08/09/2015 19:19

Definitely not your fault! Could you rely on dh to be assertive? Hopefully you won't need to be. Good luck!

BeautifulLiar · 08/09/2015 20:06

Thanks vroc, really hope I'm worrying over nothing.

DH is worse than me! He has no middle ground between ridiculously polite and aggressive (would never be aggressive in this kind of situation, but just for context!). I've just text him to remind him he needs to have my back tomorrow!

Bedtime for me, very hardcore!

AdorabeezleWinterpop · 08/09/2015 21:55

Well, I told work about the pregnancy. It was not received with enthusiasm Hmm

IndomitabIe · 08/09/2015 22:04

Congratulations Paper!

Glad your scan is sorted Beautiful

Oh dear Adorbs, what's their issue?

I had to tell people at work today. There's some building work going on and there was a 'fume issue'. I'm fairly sure it'll be ok. But someone's been appointed to ventilate my room before I get in. Then I have all the windows & doors open all day. Hope they finish before this nice weather does, I'll be hypothermic otherwise! (Not an exaggeration, I can get hypothermic in the summer if I try hard enough. I'm not too good at thermoregulation, although usually better when pregnant!)

Missdee2014 · 08/09/2015 22:33

Congratulations Paper! Enjoy your honeymoon Smile

So pleased for you Beautiful! Been lurking on and off today to see if you had posted but only now getting a chance to comment.

Congrats to all with the lovely scans. I'm utterly crap at keeping up with this thread Hmm need to make more effort. If only life weren't quite so hectic!

My 16 week appt is 29/9 and can't wait to hear a wee heartbeat. Not got anything through for 20 week scan yet.

Picked up my prescription for aspirin yesterday. I'm under red path consultant care as I'm apparently high risk so need to take an aspirin a day. Anyone else with me on this one?

marmitemofo · 08/09/2015 22:56

I also told my boss today... On the face of it she was fine, said congratulations and we had a bit of a chat about reallocating my responsibilities. I think I've given her a bit of a headache though as we're a bit understaffed at the moment. Oh well!

Congrats paper hope you enjoy your honeymoon!

Aw congrats paper and great news crispy on the scan! So excited you've got your scan sorted beautiful - awesome news all round!

Our scan went well today - phew! I was so worked up all day with nerves that I had diarrhea (sorry!) all day - at least it solved my constipation problem lol. But everything was fine, measuring 11 wk 5, NT stuff all looked ok and due date moved to 24th March.

Isn't it just the strangest feeling seeing this tiny baby, that you weren't even 100% sure was still there, wriggle and kick and flip around ..... even though you can't feel anything yet? Still doesn't feel real, just feel in awe of it all.

Sonographer thinks its a girl and we'll have that confirmed when get harmony results in a week - eek more to worry about.

good luck to everyone else with their scans this week :)

julesldn · 09/09/2015 01:04

I'm also struggling to keep up without the app... When's it coming back does anyone know?!

Ffaux - I know it was ages ago you mentioned but I've also gone down a cup size even though boobs now look huge. Went from 32d to 36c and got measured in mothercare. Lady in bhs tried to say I was a 32b (despite me going in because my normal bras were killllling me) I walked out sharpish ha!

Paper - YAY! I'm not the only one with a feb due date now Smile im due the day after your induction so hopefully you get to do it all first and then tell me how it is WinkGrin

I'm 16.2 today - can't believe it! And still haven't told work either. Think the news is going to go down like a lead balloon......

julesldn · 09/09/2015 01:04

Also loving seeing all these cute scan pics!!! Keep them coming! Smile

I had an accident yesterday and hit a cyclist which I am absolutely mortified about it beyond words to the extent I can't sleep . I don't expect any sympathy of course , thankfully she isnt majorly injured apart from some grazes . The situation got very nasty though with people on the street being abusive and calling me racial names ( I'm Muslim and wear a headscarf ) which I don't want to repeat and my children were shaken and terrified in the back as a mob collected and were hurling abuse . I was throwing up and shaking in the car as terrified of what could happen . Ambulance crew checked my blood pressure which was through the roof so stayed in hospital until it subsided.
I can't sleep knowing I've hurt someone regardless of the fact that her injuries were minor she must be really shaken up and I can't get it off my mind . Sad don't think I'll be driving fr a while . Sickness and nausea and over exhaustion are no excuse to not see a cyclist and I can't forgive myself . Am also upset that my children had to witness everything from the shock of hitting a cyclist to the reaction from the general public. Sorry to burden you all with my bad news .
