Morning.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 09:51

Why did I post that twice. Must get my brain into gear before a meeting at one. Or at least pretend.

Juicylucythe2nd · 29/11/2006 09:53

I stopped at one LG&T - just for you
Wisdom teeth suck. What are they for again - except for being a source of pain, discomfort and a throw back to being 6 again - whatever happened to evolution.

Desperately waiting for my flabby tummy to start looking like a baby. The words "who ate all the pies" spring to mind when I look at myself in the mirror at the moment!

Treated myself to a miriam at the weeknend. Back in underwired for the moment. We shall see how "they" progress!

Got the all clear from the dentist last night. Seems my toothbrush won the ms fight after all.

largeginandtonic · 29/11/2006 09:54

LOL PinkJenny....a KK would fix that you know...

Juicylucythe2nd · 29/11/2006 09:58

I have the pilates DVD too - but it still has the foil wrapping on it

Has anyone done it yet?

Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 10:02

Juicy - I'm just not sure I have the self discipline required to do a DVD. I need a lycra-clad instructor screaming at me. Otherwise the temptation to switch it off and go back to Home Birth Diaries or whatever for more screaming women is just too much.

LG&T - Any particular flavour you would recommend? My mouth is watering now.

largeginandtonic · 29/11/2006 10:10

Um....all of them...my personal fave are the original glazed, they are so delish. Do you have KK near you?

My dvd is also in its wrapping but i only got it saturday. A bargain on ebay for £10!

Juicylucythe2nd · 29/11/2006 10:17

I've had mine for months - but in my defence I was waiting to pass 12 wks and then I've had visitors for the last 3 weeks, so didn't really want to make a tit of myself in front of them (excuses, excuses - I know)

Plan to make a tit of myself in front of DH next week instead

Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 10:17

No - we haven't quite got to that in Merseyside. But I'm going to a mtg in Manchester later so could always venture in...

twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 10:25

Morning All.

LG&T I was actually lying in bed on Monday night wondering if I posted you some KK's (a) if I put them in a plastic box, would it stop them from getting squashed and (b) would they be fresh enough. What do you think? Like if I sent them by guaranteed next day delivery or summat?

I can recommend the original glazed and the chocolate. The rest are a bit sickly IMO.

Re: Pilates. My friend lent me a pilates DVD. Reckons she had back trouble all through first 2 pregnancies and the DVD cured it in the third as it strengthens the muscles so much.

How are we all? I went to bed at 6.45pm last night. Read a bit, slept a bit, DH brought me tea and toast, read a bit, got up for crackers and cheese, read a bit more and then went to sleep around 11. DH fell asleep on the sofa, AGAIN and came to bed at 4.30am. I find that SOOO annoying. It means I only doze for the next couple of hours. Very nicely said this morning that I might make up the spare room tonight so I can have an undisturbed night as I still feel wrecked even after all therest last night and he started having a go at me asking how I thought he felt every time I was grinding my teeth! Eh... If it's bothering him that much he can either go in the spare room or I will. I'm not going to take it personally. And then he goes, "And it's nice to sleep together, but if YOU want to go in the spare room, that's fine."

Him sleeping on the couch and me in the bed is hardly sleeping together, but I didn't bother pointing that out. He then reckoned I was "making him late" then by talking about it, when he was actually late because (a) he got up 45 minutes after his alarm went off (and when he said he had a breakfast meeting I offered him to use the shower first, thus making myself more late as I also ignored the alarm) and (b) he left his electric shaver at work because he was so late yesterday he put it in his bag to shave at work and then forgot to bring it home. That meant he had to shave with my ladies razor, which of course was nearly blunt as I only use it under my arms, so I got out of the shower and found a new blade for him and some oil to use on his face so it didn't scratch so much.

But I was making him late... You can see how that was the case, I'm sure. None of it was his fault.

twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 10:28

BTW - I haven't actually DONE my pilates DVD yet either... If it makes you feel any better!

Picked myself up now...TDOC is clearly my new best friend.......

largeginandtonic · 29/11/2006 10:32

LOL that im keeping you awake with my KK obsession! Here's my email so you can swear and curse me in [email protected]

We could all do synchronised pilates (no pretending) and motivate each other....

twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 10:33

And seriously, I think we all need some sort of psychological help, because we are OBSESSED with Krispy Kremes at the moment. I think we need to start obsessing about something else.

DH is always looking at me aghast when I can have an entire conversation on the merits of various types of food, particularly confectionary.

You know those emails that people send around with the excel spreadsheets where there's pictures of soemthing (in this case sweet wrappers with the name blanked out) and you have to fill in the name and it tots up your score?

Anyway, he was a bit shocked that I got about 99%, even some US ones and bars of chocolate, like Cadbury Skippy's and Vice Versas that went out of production donkey's years ago.

You're not helping me at ALL. I need to find a new obsession.

Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 10:33

12DOC I know exactly what you mean. The other night dh came to bed and I was already entering sleepsville. He then turned on the TV, which irritated me enough. Then, he put on the light as well and started to read. When I pointed out that maybe he could read OR watch TV, he threw the remote control across the room, said ' Oh its all about you isn't it', and stormed into the spare room.

Must confess I was rather smug about him going into the other room and slept soundly all night.

Beasts.

twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 10:37

OK, will email you now. I'll TRY to remember to bring in a lunchbox type thingy tomorrow so I can go to Tescos, fill it up, then go to the post office.

OP posts:
twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 10:44

ARRRGGGHHH Pinkjenny! The SWINE! But turning on the tv is so mean. I don't allow a tv in the bedroom as I couldn't bear that. Reading I don't mind. My DH likes to fall asleep with Radio 4 on and no matter how many times I show him the "sleep" function on the clock radio, I inevitably have to lean over him to turn it off and then he gets cross that he was "listening to that", when in fact he was asleep but only realised when I woke him up by leaning over. Do you ever wonder how the hell you last a week together in the same house when you can't even fall asleep together?

And last night I VERY kindly let him warm his feet up on me when he came to bed, but this morning he said I was "only awake for 5 minutes so what's the problem".

Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 11:07

12DOC You are a very lovely wife. If dh tried to put his size 13 trotters on me I'd be horrified.

Right, off to Manchester. There better be lunch at this meeting. The only food in my bag is a Double Dip. Not sure that would be very appropriate to eat really. Yum though. I can't get enough of 'old school sweets'at the mo.

twelvedaysofchristmas · 29/11/2006 11:21

You know there is a website for buying those kinds of sweets? Penny Sweet Shop

Arrgghhh. Somebody stop me. I am beyond help, really I am.

OP posts:
Pinkjenny · 29/11/2006 11:25

12DOC - OMG. I am now not wanting to go to my meeting. Too busy ordering gobstoppers and flying saucers!!!!!!

redkennedy · 29/11/2006 11:29

Pregnant ones! hello! You lot make me laugh with your KK obsession. Im going to go to Selfridges later so am going to get stuck in on your behalf. Research. You know. So Ive been sent about a dozen internet vouchers for various shops, a rather brilliant 40% off at Threshers voucher (if only we could take advantage) a Gap one.. I will try my hand at the magic link things and post them on here.

God I hear you about the sleeping thing. My dp went out yesterday evening to a gig, told me he would only be a couple of hours at the most. So I went to bed about 10.30 and then woke up to hear loads and loads of sirens and it was midnight. So I texted him to see just say are you alright, try not to wake me up when you get in, but of course I couldnt sleep and drove myself stupid with worry. It hadnt helped that the news was full of the trial and sentencing of the thugs that stabbed the young solicitor for his mobile phone and it happened only a few roads away from us. So on go the sirens and im laying there trying to breath softly and get back to sleep but can only hear my heart thumping and police cars. Gets to 1.30am so I called him and it just rang and rang. Called 20 times no answer. Of course by now hes in a ditch or in hospital and a policeman is about to answer his phone. GOD! I was up and pacing about like a mad woman thinking of who to phone, what hospitals, and then at 2am he phones me back. Sorry babe, didnt hear my phone etc etc. Rolls in a 3, tipsy and stinking of fags, been at a gig then onto somewhere else, yada yada, so I called him a wanker and told him I loved him but he was a complete wanker and to cut a long story short, he came to bed, passed out and started snoring, and I lay awake trying to drop off til about 4.30. Honestly. Men. Cant live with em. And you cant live with em.

Hello to all the new ladies. Hello to everyone with the dreaded lurgies. Hello to Charleymouse, good luck sweetheart. Big love to all really xx
