Evening all ive been out shopping all day and just been in to 2 bars! My friend was drinking i was on diet coke There was loud music and everything, i smell smoky too...yuk. I did get looked at...hooray...till he looked down and saw my bump...the guy could not escape fast enough..lol

Am starving may have the cold pizza in the fridge that i didnt eat yesterday, and my 2 remaining KK's...

Scooter Dulcie was my girlie name, it's top of the list atm, both dh and i love it.

LetitShnowLetitShnowLetitShnow · 02/12/2006 22:26

People stare incredulously at my bump. Does that count?

I've wrapped all of my Christmas presents. I'm trying to ignore the fact that the cats are currently unwrapping them. I'm dreading the carnage after we've put a tree with dangly bits up...

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 02/12/2006 22:41

I don't have a bump yet, I just look . . .thicker.

SnowyMeadow · 03/12/2006 10:35

Went out last night for dh xmas party - had to forfeit the Take That programme, on sky+ so all ok - and had a lovely time. After the meal we went to our local pub and all our friends were there. All the blokes could comment on was the size of my chest! Quite funny really!

LG&T - how do you still manage to have KK left - you must have stronger will power than you thought!

Going to try and put the tree up today or tomorrow - may as well as i actually know where that box is

Going to hit the shops today as MIL turns 50 this week and i had best get her a card. Also have had a few ideas re xmas presents as well so should try and get them whilst i remember.

Speak to you all later xx

CreenaberrySauce · 03/12/2006 12:16

Hello everyone!

Blimey - it's taken me ages to catch up with this thread, especially as I've been laughing out loud all the way through!

I have a friend who refers to her 'area' as her mimsy, whilst another friend simply calls it her area - both always make me smile.

I've given in and had a shop on the Penny Sweets site. It's fantastic! I've got a Secret Santa to do and I know my recipient loves sweets, so this has saved me a trek around the shops. I've done most of my Christmas shopping now. I've had to do it online though, as DH detests shopping and usually refuses with all of his might to take me. He had a hangover yesterday (it was his work Christmas do on Friday night) so he stayed in all day. I've already checked that his hangover has gone today though.........

I'm right jealous of all of you with fancy Christmas dos to go to - I'd love an excuse to but a fancy frock and get glammed up. We have a Christmas 'lunch' where I work on the 18th and it will be exactly that - all of us leaving the office at lunchtime to go to the restaurant, having lunch and then filing back to the office. A fancy frock would be a little over the top for that, methinks. In fact, I doubt that it would even be worth buying a new top for.

Anyway. I'd best go and get on with the laundry. Catch you later!

Hello Ladies
Those of you of the sweetie/chocie persuasion could you please help out. My mum is sorting out a quiz for a local club and she is pinching some questions from a quiz sheet I gave her last year on sweets and chocolate. The clues are as follows and the brackets denote how many letters are in the answer. This is so gonna annoy me now as I had forgotten all about it.

marriage planners (11)
take a vitamin to escape the flu (7)

Many thanks for any help - I have told mum you ladies are all knowing and will have the answers on the tips of your tongues.

CreenaberrySauce · 03/12/2006 12:36

I'm really wracking my brains!!

The only thing I can think of for 'marriage planners' is Love Hearts but that's only 10 letters. As for 'take a vitamin to escape the flu', it's vitamin C that people take to ward off colds and flu but my tiny mind can't connect that to a sweet of any kind!

I'll keep thinking, Charleymouse - I'll even get my DH on to it!

largevirginbirthandtonic · 03/12/2006 12:46

that will keep me thinking Charleymouse........

Helloo creenaberry (love that name) glad you are all well. The sweetie shop is fab!

Im off to make a bacon sarnie i think and read the sunday paper....it's so quiet here. They will all be back at tea time though so not peaceful for much longer!

LetitShnowLetitShnowLetitShnow · 03/12/2006 12:49

katybumps · 03/12/2006 14:00

LetitShnowLetitShnowLetitShnow · 03/12/2006 14:03

I started putting up the tree this morning, checked the lights worked, all fine. Tree dutifully decorated, tried to turn lights on and nothing! Got into a huff, took decorations off tree, DH tried to fix lights, electrocuted himself. Tree thrown out of window by me. I might go and fetch it in later.

Bloody buggering Christmas...

katybumps · 03/12/2006 14:09

lol you sound like i did half an hour ago

dh no use either he wont have anything to do with it coz i bollock him for doing it wrong he blames it onmy hormones but im like this every year!!!!!!

charleymouse · 03/12/2006 14:28

Oh well done LetitShnowLetitShnowLetitShnow . I can't believe I did not get that, the coffee ones are my favourite and you hardly ever see them.

What happened to coffee creams as well, hardly any chocolate assortments have them in anymore and they are my favourite. Oops it seems I have lots of favourites now I think about it.

Any luck with the flu vitamin clue anyone?

Yeah my cat (Charleymouse) hatched DD she loved to sit on the bump and we had many an hour of cuddles whilat I was overdue and she has the strongest bond with DD out of our 2 girls. She is trying again this time around but the bump is not big enough to sit on yet but my lap is a bit too small IYSWIM.

MereNoel · 03/12/2006 14:41

packing......................packing......................still bloody packing........................did the tree yesterday. It has only pink decs on it. looks lovely. GodRestYeMerryPebblemum · 03/12/2006 14:45

Afternoon ladies

Just thought i would pop on and say hi while im waiting for the tumble to finish, I have piles of ironing to do I hate it, whoever invented it was an arsehole. Its not so bad if im in the mood to do it but i just cant motivate myself today. Ive hoovered, polished, cut ds2's hair, gave him a bath, done a pile of washing and emptied the bins so ive not been too lazy but now ive came to a stop, I cant be bothered to do any more.

lilKel · 03/12/2006 14:58

Hello all, hope you don't mind if I crash your thread - I am due 3 June but will deliver (c-sect) prob around 20 May...

Me: 32
DH: 32
DS: 9mo in 9 days!

Looking forward to get to know you better. Just put up our tree too and I just love it- makes me all gooey inside

MereNoel · 03/12/2006 15:26

Welcome Ilkel, wow due June but 1 at 9mo, hehe thats lovely (mad) but lovely.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 03/12/2006 17:04

Welcome Ikle, bonkers having them so close i cant imagine why abyone would do something so crazy...( Heee heee, read the stats the thread Ikle....)

That bloody clue is gonna kill me, i may phone my sis she is a chocaholic, standard 2 bars a day for her! And of course she's a bloody size 8, 21 and on kids yet...grrrrrrr Nice though Red hair though....We still love her...

My teeth feel better today...hooray! Have just eaten a chewit so must be on the mend!

No tree or decs for us yet, dh wants to do it so we will wait till he is home next weekend...did ya hear that...Dh home next weekend (i may say that alot this week, just tell me to shut up)

lilKel · 03/12/2006 17:28

thanks for the welcome!! I know, we're absolutely crazy for having a 15-month gap. If you'd told me this would happen the week after DS was born, I would have laughed so hard it would have hurt very badly...actually if you had told me I'd have any kids at all, back when I was 20, I'd have run away to the circus!

Forgot, we live in SW London and have a dog, Phoebe, who is actually a lot more work than wee DS. Part of explanation for number two already on the way...

Plus I guess I was paranoid about it taking too long TTC, then I'd not be having time to go for number 3. And I hated my job, so anything to avoid that

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 03/12/2006 17:41

lilKel,

Welcome to our crew. If you've been following the thread we are a bunch of nut jobs.

Don't worry about the age gap. There is going to be a 21 mo gap between my 2.

largevirginbirthandtonic · 03/12/2006 17:43

Im only teasing Ikle. i have millions of children and the oldest (twins) are 8
Well ok not millions, 5 soon to be 6. So im hardly one to comment..lol

How are you feeling, all sickness gone yet or were you lucky enough not to suffer?
