Thank you ladies- I am starting to feel better (back on the sickness tablets I thought I didn't need any more) So maybe a Cake is in order.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 16:55

Smashley Congrats! Also baby #4 for me, I have boy girl girl, we are staying Team Yellow as usual. Grin

I just ordered some Bambino Mio Miosoft nappies. Two piece system. After weeks of umming and ahhhhming, that's my decision made.

clumsypots · 30/09/2015 18:26

calypso we looked away as she did the lower half just in case as we want a surprise. DD1 is cross as she desperately wants to know if she is getting a sister oops!

glad you are feeling better smashley

I can't wait to start shopping now!

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 18:55

Sonographer said it was a good job we didn't want to know as there was absolutely no way she could have told us due to babies position. She laughed when I said "Thats the 4th time I've been told that." Grin

We've decided, name wise, to go with a Hungarian one. Hs beloved Grandad was Hungarian came over after the war, plus our surname always causes raised eyebrows and questions of "Where's that name from then?" Hmm Erik and Viktor are my favourites so far. Girls names are proving more difficult.

CalypsoLilt · 30/09/2015 19:23

I've decided on Claudia for a girl but not sure about boys yet...my sis is pushing for something beginning with H like Herbert, Henry, Hector etc but there's really no boys names I'm smitten with :-/

arrow have you used washables before? You've inspired me to make my decision on either Bumble Popper or Flips organic. Will order trial packs from the amazing Nappy Lady tonight!!

jellypi3 · 30/09/2015 19:33

We've got 1 name we both like so I'm hoping it suits the baby when she's here!

Names?! Wow. I really need to pull my socks up! 2 weeks to my 20 week scan though.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 20:26

I'm buying Flips too, when we outgrow bambino newborns (I have small babies and need newborn sizes) I also like econobum. The 2 part system seems best for me as they dry faster and are a lot cheaper, but I think when baby is a bit bigger and more predictable (around 6 months I'd say, by past experience) I'd like to buy some Milovia and Tots Bots All In Ones. Babame and babipur are also brilliant, babame is the official bumGenius stockist. Never used them before, wanted to but 5+ years ago there was only bumGenius and Bambino around, and they only did eye wateringly expensive packs (£400+) and now there's more companies and individual nappies. I can see it becoming my new obsession. Blush

So far we like Erik and Viktor. They're a good blend of Hungarian/English. Hs middle name is Imre so touting that as a possible middle name. Girls names are completely eluding me at the moment.

Phoenix80 · 30/09/2015 20:45

Names - we've gone from not liking any girls names to finding one we both love in a week for our 'might be a girl.' The name is Eden Grace. If it's a boy we think it'll be Eli Joseph.

We are waiting for another scan appointment for around week 23 because baby was been uncooperative at the 20 week scan so the heart, stomach and diaphragm need to be checked still.

My babies measurements at the 20 week scan were:
FL - 36.3mm
HC - 181.1mm
AC - 156.4mm

XingXingFox · 30/09/2015 21:45

We've picked our full name too! We did after finding out sex at 20wk last time too. There was a short list of three but this combination feels right!

Love the Hungarian names! Sound super cool! And Eden too!

Rufus200 · 30/09/2015 22:10

Where do you get your measurements from? I wasn't told any in my scan, except that baby had long limbs.

calypso I was going to say that after everything he has done to you he deserved to get hurt.

So excited tonight, DH felt kicks for the 1st time. I had to curl up in a ball and push his hand hard against uterus but finally he felt him.

Drumroll please, we have our name chosen, Joshua James Rufus (surname is similar to Rufus) Smile

NorthernChinchilla · 30/09/2015 22:10

Sorry to hear you've been feeling down maisie and calypso. I really wish all the day to day shite stuff we have to deal with would kindly stop during pregnancy, but it doesn't and being pregnant makes it that much harder Sad

Lovely news arrow, though bummer the baby was neither co-operative nor even attempting to acquiesce for the pics. At least you got one!

So you're still being horribly sick smashley? The dehydration sounds awful, you poor thing. And another girl for the thread, starting to even up the stats a bit.

We've got a couple of possibles for boys, and one I love that could either be a boy or girl's name. Most annoyingly, the other girl's name I love sounds stupid with the surname, and the boy's name I like, which is really unusual, was chosen by my manager's daughter for her son last year. Unbelievably, they even chose the same middle name I was going to go for Envy Angry. What are the sodding chances?!

SmashleyHop · 30/09/2015 22:46

I had a break from 14 weeks to 20 weeks. Felt great. It's just hit me like a ton of bricks. I couldn't even keep water down for more than 2 minutes. My poor DD3 was holding my hair back for me... Sad So off to the hospital I went and was on a drip for a few days. They've put me on a heavier anti nausea med now and I can keep my food down again.

DH and I cannot agree on a girls name. The only one we both said we would be ok with was River. I can't come up with a decent middle name that doesn't sound super hippyish or that just goes.. I like Annalise, Eden, Evangeline and River.. DH likes more old fashioned names like Opal, Edna, Olive ect.. I have no idea how we named three other children.

RattyCatty · 01/10/2015 06:59

smash poor you feeling so sick still - hope meds help.

Lovely to hear more healthy scan news!

Love the name rufus! Sounds classic and matches each other v well. Think we have gone for two family names (feels strange telling you all this as DH & I said we wouldn't tell anyone we know!) Margaret (Maggie) Philippa - all going well!

jellypi3 · 01/10/2015 07:49

I'm finding middle names a nightmare. Part of me feels like it should be a family members name, but I'm struggling. I love our chosen first name though.

Does anyone else have busy days and quiet days on the movement front

clarabellski · 01/10/2015 08:35

Ooooh, names chat! We worked on our list night! We've got around 20 girls names and 10 boys names. We're putting the list away for a couple of months and will revisit around Christmas time.

I loved Maggie ratty but my DH can't get past Margaret Thatcher Hmm Dyed in the wool socialist that one!

We have our second attempt at the 20 week scan this afternoon. Currently drinking a coffee which might be a mistake!

clarabellski · 01/10/2015 08:41

jelly yes on the movement front. I think it is a bit later on when it becomes more frequent. I also have big gaps during the day when I don't feel anything. There seems to be a period in the afternoon at work when its active, and again from around 9 - 10pm. Otherwise I don't really notice it.

MaisieDotes · 01/10/2015 08:44

Thanks chinchilla Smile I met a friend for coffee yesterday afternoon and I feel a lot better after a good chat. She's due her first baby in a fortnight so we just talked baby stuff!

We still don't have a name. DS's name is the only boy's (or it can be a girl's Wink jelly ) name I loved for years.

There's others I like but DH isn't keen. We'll have to find a common ground soon. My DNephew born last Feb was nameless for about a week, I don't want that to happen to this baby!

chinchilla that's such bad luck about your name being taken! I have two friends due boys before me so it'll be interesting to see whether they pick names I would have thought of.

MaisieDotes · 01/10/2015 10:05

Btw is anyone else feeling the fatigue creeping back in?

The last few days I just feel like I've been run over by a truck. Heavy, aching limbs, sleepiness, the lot. I'm taking a pregnancy multi-vit but maybe more iron is needed?

CalypsoLilt · 01/10/2015 10:20

maisie i really hope that's not the start of the flu.... have you had the jab? i'm ok with tiredness as long as i am asleep by 9.30pm (I'm up at 6.30am)

jelly i had constant kicking for nearly 3 days then yesterday nothing :( i don't think you can count movements until 24 weeks tho?

chinchilla if it's a name you love, go for it anyway..... are you ever going to meet this woman? are you staying with this employer forever?

my friend had a baby very early hours Wednesday morning, c-section, we haven't heard from her since, hope everything is ok... i can't just phone the hospital and ask can i because of data protection?

haquoi123 · 01/10/2015 10:20

maisie I'm with you on the fatigue front. My back starts to ache after an hour of having woken up and I'm getting a frozen shoulder. Also starting to get remnants of my morning sickness back, really mild (sorry smashley, that sucks!) but enough to make me go noooooooo!!

We've got to match our ds' name which was very very unusual, but beautiful. Suffice to to say our list constantly consists of one, but is forever changing! I had girls names!...

haquoi123 · 01/10/2015 10:23

Cross-post, sorry. calypso I think let your friend know you're thinking of her and wait for her to contact you. I know when ds died I didn't want to speak to anybody but it helped to have them reach out and offer support with no need for response. Hopefully it won't be that and she'll be over the moon and baby gaga!

makingapplecrumble00 · 01/10/2015 10:35

We had our scan on Monday. Firmly in team yellow but DP keeps saying he definitely saw some boy bits! I don't know whether he is joking or not though Confused

We have a list of names. The problem is he likes quite traditional names and I'd prefer something a bit quirky. My favourite so far is a unisex name that I think would be lovely for a girl but he's says its a boys name. I think there are a few more weeks of arguing to go over that one.

Feeling rough today, I think I'm getting a cold. Annoyingly just as I was starting to think this second trimester glow business might be true after all. Sympathy to those feeling sick again. I really don't want to go back there again.

haquoi123 · 01/10/2015 10:45

apple if it helps, I was trying to work out boy or girl before she told us and I thought I saw girls bits. Then she waggled the mouse over his balls and willy and did that he was must definitely a boy!

jellypi3 · 01/10/2015 10:54

I'm not suffering on the tiredness front, but am getting horrible back ache :( I'm going to get my flu jab next week I think!

25w check up at the midwife tomorrow (i'll be 23 weeks...think she mis-calcualted). Then i'm jetting off to Spain for 6 days! Can't wait!!!

I think the baby was just having a quiet day yesterday, it's so difficult judging when to predict their pattern isnt it!
