A sale you say?! I'm orf to the Argos website.

I keep flitting from wanting to be frugal and sighing over the Stokke Crusi... This is my last baby and I wants what I wants! Envy Buuuuuut £900 on a pram?! Shock

haquoi123 · 29/09/2015 21:02

calypso with you on those fanny daggers. Bubs has been having a rave today! Will also check out argos :)

Oh arrow, pram envy has struck! I really want the britax smile but the price!!

Oh yeah, went to Sainsburys for some cookies (cravings, oh yeah!) and ended up having the flu jab! Strange, but at least now it's off my list!

Rufus200 · 29/09/2015 22:18

Is anyone going to the baby show? www.thebabyshow.co.uk

They are doing deals on tommee tippee in the ticket price, seems cheaper then anywhere I can find on the Internet. But apparently babies can be stroppy about teats. I really want one of these m.tommeetippee.co.uk/product/black-perfect-prep-machine/ but can only be used with tommee tippee bottles and if baby doesn't like them then it is a complete waste of money. I'm not getting very far with buying actual needed stuff, I decided tommee tippee looked good but seems like baby will choose not me. Tried to look at prams but it is just too scary a decision and I keep on running away from them.

Major set back today, stupid builder didn't check the tile order (only half amount needed were ordered) so I had to pay out £2000 extra that I have no budget for and tiles won't arrive for 3 weeks but were needed today. He also put the cat flap in a foot off the ground! He obviously thinks cats take a run and jump to get into the house. Never ever again will I do a building project!!! It is 95% of my stress!

XingXingFox · 30/09/2015 02:11

Hello! Congrats on more scans and good luck to those coming up! I'm currently abroad solo for work and really missing my little family, but it's a great time to bond with this baby while DD isn't around. It feels so much more real to me now I know she's a girl. 21 weeks now! Over halfway!

RattyCatty · 30/09/2015 07:00

Morning everyone!

rufus that's a real pain on the building front Confused

xing I know - I love knowing that baby is a girl, find it all so mad.

I'm absolutely knackered - this 3am insomnia & teaching is starting to make me feel & look rather shit!

Is anyone else's belly button tender/sore? Mine was a real inny and is about halfway out so it might be that, feels like it's being really stretched! Belly buttons really gross me out (can't have anyone touch mine) so this is rather interesting!

NorthernChinchilla · 30/09/2015 07:30

The Birth Choices clinic is for women who want a c-section (and often where you've had/ended up with a c-section before) calypso. Depending on their approach, they either genuinely discus your views, or try to force a VBAC on you. It tends to follow your booking in session.

Brilliant scan news, we definitely seem to be 40/40/20 on teams blue, yellow and pink!

My belly button is a bumpy flatty ratty, it's the main place I got stretch marks last time. It's really cool, they kind of radiate out like an Aztec sun. If you could tattoo scar tissue I'd get them inked in (as it is I've got tat #3) planned for after this baby.

Phoenix80 · 30/09/2015 08:21

Arrow someone put a link on the Facebook page the other day for a reduced Stokke www.mothercare.com/Stokke%C2%AE-Xplory-Pushchair---Stokke%C2%AE-Xplory-Pushchair---Black-with-Additional-Black-White-stripe-style-kit-%28Limited-edition%29/687258,default,pd.html still a lot but a bit better Smile

monkerina · 30/09/2015 09:00

Rufus, our catflap is about a foot off the ground outside too- the floor level inside is apparently way higher from when the previous owner had a (slightly dodgy) extension put in- so me and DH built a little staircase up to it out of old bricks. DCat seems to like the effort made on her behalf and it now makes me smile, rather than curse, every time I have to look at it Smile

We have our travel system- got the Joie Chrome from Mothercare in purple, as it was pretty, on sale (our local Mothercare closed) and seemed to match all the requirements we had, and I'm far too tight to justify an iCandy or Quinny one... slightly concerned people on the street are going to look down at my bargain pram!

clarabellski · 30/09/2015 09:03

Oh dear Cumsy, your username is apt!

Ratty I know what you mean about belly buttons, they give me the heeby jeebys (so do toes, don't ask!). I'm not looking forward to seeing mine poke out. It's also about half way there. I'm also wondering whether there will be enough skin to stretch over the bump. It already seems pretty stretched as it is. I know I can't avoid stretch marks if I'm going to get them, but wondering if there's any benefit to slathering moisturiser over my bump to help keep the expanding skin healthy?!?

The tattoo idea sounds cool Chinchilla although I'm waaaaaaaaay to scared to let anyone tattoo me!

clarabellski · 30/09/2015 09:04

*Clumsy, oops! Blush

BananaRaces · 30/09/2015 09:56

Clara, Grin at "Cumsy"!!

Calypso and Mama - so glad your scans went well.

Ratty I realised yesterday that I can see the bottom of my tummy button, it's about halfway out - very weird! I was half hoping there might be treasure in there or something, but no such luck!

Haquoi I ordered the Natal Hypnotherapy (Maggie Howell) CD thingy off Amazon yesterday, not sure if it'll help or not but it's got to be worth a shot right?! Glad you're finding the hypnobirthing so good, that gives me hope. Smile

MaisieDotes · 30/09/2015 10:26

Hi all. Congrats on the scan news calypso and mama Smile

I'm a bit low at the moment. A combination of family stuff and hormones I think. I seem to cry at the drop of a hat these days.

MaryEllen1 · 30/09/2015 10:46

rufus am planning on going to the baby show if just to look at everything and get an idea of stuff I want, as its my first I'm new to all this. Also my SIL has that tommee tippee prep machine and thinks it's the best thing ever :)

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 11:49

Scan went well, Team Yellow here. Baby was very uncooperative, arms crossed in front of face, legs crossed and tucked under bum, backed right up into the placenta. DSis "The anti social is strong in this one" Grin Eventually after drinks and walks baby moved and everything is 100% good. Photos weren't very good at all Sad

Phoenix80 · 30/09/2015 12:12

Great scan news arrow. We seem to have a lot of uncooperative babies on this thread Grin

CalypsoLilt · 30/09/2015 12:31

arrow hahahahaha at at your Dsis! My sonographer said "this baby is a poser" and I said, shit, just like it's father then ;)

feeling very glum today, ex fell thru the loft into the sitting room when he was getting all his crap on Monday night..... yet another thing I have to sort out and he won't pay for :(

clumsypots · 30/09/2015 13:10

My leg is ok if you like the colour purple thanks and yes clara my username is very apt I am very good at injuring myself although I like your version too!

Scan went really well everything is good but got to go for growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks because of the medication. Another one for team yellow here.

arrow glad everything went well for you too!

calypso that's crap hope you feel a bit more cheerful soon, have Cake it always helps.

clarabellski · 30/09/2015 13:43

Still blushing Clumsy Blush

Great news on your scan and you too Arrow, your Dsis's comment made me laugh!

Calypso oh dear! Maybe you could claim on insurance for the hole? Definitely second the Cake option.

BananaRaces · 30/09/2015 14:06

Calypso I third the Cake suggestion. I also hope he banged his arse on the way down.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 14:24

Clumsy I'm also back at 28 and 34 weeks for growth scans too.

Anyone fancy sharing measurements? Could be fun to see how they compare to birth weight!

FL: 32mm
HC: 170mm
AC: 152mm

Calypso twat Angry another insurance vote here.

TillITookAnArrowToTheKnee · 30/09/2015 14:25

Out of 4 photos, this is the best. The others are blurry.

February 2016 - Boobs are growing, sickness is going, and some of us are finally showing!!
CalypsoLilt · 30/09/2015 15:00

I will dig out my measurements tonight!

Unfortunately, he was unharmed in the loft/ceiling incident.

yay clumsy on the scan! did you look for a winkle/twinkle?!

SmashleyHop · 30/09/2015 15:53

Hello- Sorry I've not posted in ages. Been really sick and hospitalized for a few days due to dehydration. However.. We had our scan today and we are officially.. Team Pink! Hurray for our baby girl. I'm very excited. Have two boys and a girl already so it will be nice to even it out. Now I just have to figure out a name for this little bundle. I had a boy's name picked out ages ago but can not figure out anything that my husband and I can agree on.

CalypsoLilt · 30/09/2015 15:59

aaaaaaahhhhhh smash 2 boys and 2 girls! what a blessing!!

clarabellski · 30/09/2015 16:23

Oh Smashley, good and bad news! I hope your sickness is on the mend and if you feel up to it, you should definitely have some Cake to celebrate your scan news!
