My scans at 10 am. Didn't get a wink of sleep and have a chesty cough so not feeling the best but still excited for the scan.

Morning ratty Smile

I have a midwife appointment tomorrow, I'm looking forward to hearing the Doppler. Although in the last week I've been feeling a lot of movement which is really reassuring. I'm 20+5 today.

haquoi123 · 14/09/2015 08:00

Morning ratty!

Best of luck for today jelly, hope you feel better soon as well. And exciting for tomorrow maisie!

I dreamed that I adopted a month old cyclops baby boy who was somehow related to my family (he was so cute!), but in order to get him I had to be paired with a (very attractive) stranger man... I remember wondering how on earth I was going to explain /get it past DH...

Lots of movement here too, although quite a bit of painful movement over the last couple of days that has had me yelping and jiggling to get the baby to move. Is this normal?

Mawsymoo · 14/09/2015 09:01

Good luck jelly

Scan this morning for me too - I have a nervous tummy! I'll be glad to get it over with and hopefully everything will be okay with baby. I'm 21 weeks today.

haquoi123 · 14/09/2015 09:07

Best of luck mawsy!x

XingXingFox · 14/09/2015 09:11

Lots of scans this week! Thinking of you all!

I have my first meeting with the midwife home birth team, looking forward to hearing a heartbeat, will keep me going till next Friday. Am starting to get nervous!

Carltonlives · 14/09/2015 10:02

Morning everyone!

Good luck for the scans jelly and mawsy can't wait to hear how you get on!

haquoi I've been having the strangest dreams too, last night I dreamt that a small Chinese girl maybe 6-7 years old kept escaping from her house and breaking into my flat and getting into bed with us! It was happening every night so in the end I took her hand and walked her to school and gave her back to the headmaster there, and Rita skeeter was there with her magic quill following me around trying to get a news story about the girl! These dreams are so vivid that When I woke up for a wee in the night I actually expected her to be standing in my bathroom it was so scary Sad

I think my back-ne (back acne!) has started again too, I hate it esp when there's spots under your bra straps Sad

The toddler has been up all night with a temperature and being a general whingeasaurus (2nd molars I think) so today should be fun haha

Rufus200 · 14/09/2015 10:15

Morning and good luck for scans this week. Mine isn't till next week.

I spent the weekend decorating with DH, despite a total of 20 hours work between us all we managed was to get one room sanded and prepped and paint 1/4 of the ceiling. At this point we realised that the white paint was rubbish (Dulux ceiling) and gave up, as it is going to need multiple coats might as well buy better paint and do 1 coat. Trying to cover up a beige ceiling. I can't move today, going up and down the stairs my thighs scream with pain and I stretched before I went to bed!
Started feeling what I thought might be movement last week but wasn't convinced, last night it is absolutely definitely was movement and he was very active. Does get painful at times as well.
Read that on average from the 1st time you feel movement then you have your baby 147 days later, if I take yesterday as my 1st proper day then it puts me at my original due date for LMP.

BananaRaces · 14/09/2015 10:30

Haquoi, Ratty and Carlton, bonkers dreams here too but no insomnia yet (touches wood). Keep waking up in the night really hot, not sweaty just baking... It's like I'm turning into a radiator!! Anyone else getting this?

My 20 week scan's not until 2 weeks today. Good luck to all those with scans coming up soon.

I'm going on a mission to H&M later - must get some maternity leggings as I don't think it will be long before I need my winter boots!

haquoi123 · 14/09/2015 11:21

banana, I highly recommend the h&m sweatpants! They're my best buy so far, really comfy and actually just nice enough to wear outside as casual wear. I've still failed to find any decent leggings (they're all too small!) so let me know how you get on!

Sagil12 · 14/09/2015 11:21

Good luck to all those having scan today. Hope all if u come back happy and excited..
Recently started having disturbed sleep, although I am just 17 weeks. Keep waking up after a while as I can start getting numb on the side I m sleeping. I thought this doesnt happen till third trimester.
Not quite sure movements either.
As for ppl with acne, dont know how far this is true and what you ate hoping for, but its said there are more chances if a boy if you have acne. Again thats all just chances nothing concrete.

Rufus200 · 14/09/2015 11:26

Anyone who is feeing bad about their spots, it could be worse your face could look like mine. I wondered why DH was reluctant to kiss me this morning, I hadn't looked in the mirror yet. This is with 9 days of treatment and it is worse in reality then the photo is showing!

haquoi123 · 14/09/2015 11:35

Oh rufus that looks like it must be so painful!!! Is the treatment helping though?

CalypsoLilt · 14/09/2015 12:36

Happy Belated Birthday Arrow

Rufus have you tried coconut oil?

clumsypots · 14/09/2015 13:04

Oh rufus that looks sore! I am marvelling at the fact I have spots and dry skin at the same time.

Is anyone else suffering with swollen feet yet? Can't wait for my sofa to be delivered so I can actually put my feet up in the evening.

bannana my h&m leggings are so comfortable and keep my belly nice and warm Smile

Sagil12 · 14/09/2015 14:07

Clumsy, i have been having swollen feet since 8 weeks ad my job entailed me standing a lot. It gets better over the weekends when I am not soo active but even now if i stand or walk for 2,3 hours in one stretch i get the swelling. I was initially worried but not any more as its completely normal if u have it in both feet rather than one.

Sagil12 · 14/09/2015 14:08

Rufus, hope it gets better soon as its said to ne common in first and second trimester n hopefully starts getting better after that.

Mawsymoo · 14/09/2015 15:11

Oh Rufus that looks sore I hope it starts healing up soon.

All was well with the scan - everything looked fine although baby wasn't the most cooperative. A number of the measurements were on the lower end of normal but they were still within normal ranges so I'll try not to worry about it. And we're having another boy! I had a feeling it would be!

MaisieDotes · 14/09/2015 15:50

Congratulations mawsy ! Another member for team blue Smile

I'm really looking forward to having two boys close in age. I know it will be chaotic though!

jellypi3 · 14/09/2015 15:56

Ours was also fine :) Team girl here!

Congratulations jelly and mawsymoo. Wonderful news.

CarShare · 14/09/2015 16:10

Congratulations jelly and mawsy!

We had ours this morning and are team girl! All fine measurement wise. Didn't care either way on the baby's sex but am so excited that I can plan/shop a bit more and we can have the names chat.

Good luck to those with scans coming up.

Rufus- amazing effort on the DIY- you're a better women than I (currently 'working from home' (watching Masterchef) whilst having our bathroom painted by someone charging extortiate money because we can't be bothered doing it ourselves :-S)
