tillItook whaaat? Why was he emailing you then? Was he just letting on he was organised with presents thinking he'd sort it later and then ran out of time / had no money? Or was he deliberately trying to hurt you?

Not on the same level at all but I had a massive row with DH today. A real screaming match (both of us) and hysterical tears (me). It was about babyproofing the house Confused (for DS not the new baby!)

Tiredoftiredness · 11/09/2015 17:17

Sorry about DH arrow. What a fool!

Had a BP check at the MW today and am only 2 points off the point where consultant threatened hospital admission. Am trying to think calming thoughts!

Got to hear HB for first time though which was lovely, and def feeling some movements now, although feels more like my side is being used as a springboard than being kicked Hmm

On the subject of pee bottles - rather than being sent home with mine or MW chucking it away in the bin next to her I noticed she had a lovely long line of various coloured pee lined up on a trolley behind her...no idea what she was saving them all for!! Looked like a good 10/15 bottles so must have been from various ladies throughout the day. Odd!

Troika · 11/09/2015 17:41

So sorry arrow. What an absolute fucker. XH did the same to me re work- he then told them I'd had a breakdown and that was why he hadn't been in for however long. This was after months of him telling them he was in late everyday because he was up with the baby all night (he didn't get up once and me and baby were up hours before him in the mornings).

Is there anything nice you can do this eve to make your birthday a little less shit? I know it's hard when your head's in a state though. I hope you have people around you anyway.

BananaRaces · 11/09/2015 17:43

Just had a call from the FMU, full Karyotype results in from the Amnio - ALL CLEAR!! Smile Woohoo!

Happy birthday for yesterday arrow. Let's hope that next year's will be far better. Sounds like your STBXH is going off the rails, especially with the work thing, and frankly you're best out of there. If someone can't be a support in pregnancy then you don't need them dragging you down and playing mindfuck games
Such a shitty way to spend your birthday.

Great news banana!

Another cheese related dinner tonight, mac &cheese last night, jacket spuds with cheese tonight- am indulging my desires!

Gizmo520 · 11/09/2015 19:26

Hi everyone! Another newbie here - I think I've added my details to the sheet - I hope! I'm due the 9th Feb and find out on the 23rd if it's a boy or a girl - I can't wait! This is babby number 2 as we already have a DS. Hope you're all having a nice evening :-D

RattyCatty · 11/09/2015 23:12

Welcome gizmo!

MaisieDotes · 12/09/2015 01:08

banana that's fantastic news!! Smile Smile

You've had such a long wait since the original tests. I'm so glad it's a good result.

IslaMann · 12/09/2015 04:07

banana wonderful news, so happy for you Smile

Hello everyone, havent been active for a week, but hope people going thru a tough time with families, get things resolved . Welcome to newbies. It was good to learn a few facts about coccyx pain management and that i m not the only one going thru it at this stage. I have also started with plantar fascitis which i have never had in my life and it takes me atleaat an hour after i get up to have some pain relief in my feet. Does any one else suffer from really painful soles n feet like to the point where you just cant stand a minute longer?
Its worrying as i have heard second trimester is the best in teems of energy and ppl like pre pregancy?
Depressed

madsaz76 · 12/09/2015 10:37

sagil I have had plantar fascists in the past. I think you are probably in the place where you need to forget all dreams of glamour / yummy mummy and go intensely practical.

Flat shoes with proper soles. You can get inserts to help and some types of taping work - Google plantar fascists and kt tape. My friend swears by this. If money not too tight see a podiatrist who will probably help you a lot

With the coccodynia ask your midwife for a physio referral. I am realising I will have to look after myself to avoid being an ache moany mess & have all those worries about this big the "good timester".

It's not helped by other people saying darkly "it's only going to get worse" when I waddle - limp into the room.

But- women have been doing it for years and I reckon we can work a way through it. Nearly half way now Smile

CarShare · 12/09/2015 14:28

Sagil, I have PF and find flat shoes with an ortho-heel insole works really well. Bought mine from Boots. Massively sympathise with those of us (me included) feeling less than glamorous.

My bro in law took some lovely pics of me and my new nephew and my little niece at her third birthday party yesterday but I could have cried at the state of my extra chin and fat arms. I'm usually a 10-12 and keep myself in decent nick but it's all gone to pot lately and I'm wondering how I'm going to shift it afterwards (have PCOS and find weightloss difficult).
Is anyone else feeling similar or do I need to get over myself and stop being so shallow?!

Sagil12 · 12/09/2015 15:06

Thanks carshare and madsaz, will definitely get tbose insoles. I think part of my underlying cause is my weight gain and that too quite early in pregnancy which leads to more burden on the weight bearing joints n hence the leg n feet pain.
I have started brisk walk for a week now n hope to keep my weight under control but no auccess at the moment. I have already gained 6-7 kgs already which is very depressing

Sagil12 · 12/09/2015 15:10

Madsaz, you are right women have been doing it for years and we shall get through as well but at moment feels like impossible that I will get through. I have left time work as I wasnt coping well n had hoped things will get better, but they havent.

clumsypots · 12/09/2015 17:05

car definitely feeling less than glamorous here too with being covered in bruises and my spotty face. Had the double whammy of being sick this morning and having a nosebleed at the same time, that was not pleasant!

CarShare · 12/09/2015 18:27

Ah pots- definitely feel your pain. I have developed a hefty covering of back and chest acne. Sorry to hear about the nose bleed/vom incident. Aren't we all just a delight?!

Rufus200 · 12/09/2015 19:26

Car I've also got PCOS, I had put on 10kgs at my 16wk scan, haven't weighed myself since. I take Inositol, which is supposed to help PCOS better metabolise glucose and reduce the risk of GD. Also covered in acne, spots on back and chest are getting worse and worse.

RattyCatty · 12/09/2015 20:13

My spots aren't great - on my chest & jaw line which is new!

My main thing ATM is insomnia. I have such big bags under my eyes from waking up so much in night! I have read that it gets worse so had bette get used to it!

Sighing · 12/09/2015 21:36

Disturbed sleep / insomnia has been with me from around 6 weeks. I am lucky, I get a night of reasonable sleep every 3rd day and somewhere between OK and bad most others. Some nights 8 could scream at trying to sleep. I've tried a banana and warm bath ready for bed now. I will report if it works!

CarShare · 13/09/2015 08:25

sighing I was on reduced hours at work between week 8 and 14 with insomnia. I still sleep badly but am less exhausted generally so manage a bit better. I started an antenatal pilates class a couple of weeks ago and use the relaxation techniques to get back to sleep if I wake up. Probably works more often than not which is a big improvement for me. Hope the banana and bath did the trick!

StillRising · 13/09/2015 11:00

Hey everyone! Is there a Facebook group set up? I'm due 1st Feb baby no. 2

madsaz76 · 13/09/2015 12:23

My "women have been doing it for millenia" isn't a dig - its my new mantra. Cos I honestly don't know how some days.

Have just slept for about 16 hours - frightening as I didn't know I was that tired. However feel pretty good right now so maybe having a trip to the horror that is Blackpool for fish and chips.

IslaMann · 13/09/2015 14:13
