Congrats Mawsy and Jelly

Clumsy my feet have been swollen for months now. I have 1 pair of flat shoes that are falling apart, 1 pair of trainers and flip flops that I can get my feet into! I've tried to buy new shoes but they hurt my feet so much just trying them on that I would never be able to break them in!

haquoi treatment has got rid of 90% of the pustules but made the eczema so much worse. I'm stopping for a few days now to see if the eczema will calm down and hopefully the pustules won't restart.
calypso I can't put anything on it, I have tried everything you could name the 1st time I got this when I came off the pill and found that completely leaving it alone healed it. This time unfortunately it got really infected which is why I've had to have the horrible acid cream to burn the infection out. It is also supposed to make the eczema better by increasing skin turnover but it is just making me look like I have some horrible infectious skin disease. People stare at me a lot when I'm out, it really isn't very nice.

Zara online has the most adorable baby clothes at the moment. Super soft and reasonable prices. I bought loads of cute stuff with animals on it. Also just bought a toddler's rocking horse from Costco, obviously going to be a long time before he can use it but it was just too cute not to buy. I am currently stress shopping for the baby (better then stress eating)! It distracts me from the building horrors that are going on. Today they put dripping wet insulation in the walls as they left it out in the rain, men can be so f*ing stupid!!!

XingXingFox · 14/09/2015 17:34

I've had bad acne both times and my first was a girl! Find out next Friday which this is but 100% convinced it's another DD.

Congratulations to everyone having their scans and yay for boys and girls!! It seems there's more girls than boys so far? It's amazing to start planning names. I can't wait!

CarShare · 14/09/2015 18:07

Fox I'm covered in back and chest acne which is unusual for me and found out today that we're team pink so maybe there is a correlation.

Rufus will def check out Zara, thanks!

So pleased those today have had happy, healthy scans! I am so nervous about mine next week.

Hope everyone's Monday's have been ok! Very rainy in London and an exhausted after a rubbish night sleep! Ah well... To the sofa I go!

madsaz76 · 14/09/2015 18:40

What does it feel like when the baby moves? I have been wondering for a couple of days if some odd sensations are baby, wind or something else. I had a very specific feeling last week like going over a bridge in the car then nothing else.

Thing is today I had a very irritating run in with a colleague that made me angry. All day I have had a butterflies feeling low down in my belly. I am usually tough as old boots at work - so can have full scale warfare type disagreements (which I always win) and feel chilled and happy 10 minutes later. So today I don't know if I am more emotional than usual and just stressed, or if I can feel baby (in which case typical I first truly feel him/her when I am in a bad mood).

Can early movements (19 weeks today) feel like butterflies? If so, will it become more obvious soon? Would like to know its baby & that I'm not going soft...

CarShare · 14/09/2015 18:54

I can definitely relate the 'car going over a bridge' sensation. I have that quite frequently, and also pulsating tapping/pressure feelings. I haven't had fluttering/butterfly sensations but that's how my sister described her first feelings of movement. I have an anterior placenta which reduces feelings of movements so I don't notice unless the baby is really going for it.
Fingers crossed someone on here will reassure you better that it's the baby and you're not going soft!

RattyCatty · 14/09/2015 19:00

Yes mine feels like flopping and rolling and sometimes (but not all the time - mainly at night when I'm lying flat) I can feel movements/kicks. I never really felt the fluttering but think some do.

RattyCatty · 14/09/2015 19:01

As in movements/kicks from putting hand on outside

madsaz76 · 14/09/2015 19:01

well, I'm gonna put it down to baby. That way my annoying colleague doesn't get to have annoyed me any more than necessary Grin

Stepawayfromthezebras · 14/09/2015 19:13

Congratulations on the scans everyone Smile

I haven't felt any movements for a couple of weeks and they were only tiny - so I'm really impatient for my scan on Thursday

haquoi123 · 14/09/2015 19:27

madsaz, that's definitely baby! I didn't get fluttering with ds (he was a madly rolling baby) but this one is a little more delicate and butterfly-like when it's not tearing up my insides! Sometimes I feel like my stomach is going on a wander without me and feel very disoriented!

Congrats on all the scans! I've been calling this one a she, but fairly convinced it's going to be a boy. Find out next Tuesday. Good luck for those others with scans this week!

jellypi3 · 14/09/2015 19:36

I'd also say that's movements. I get the whole host, flutterings, pulsating, car/bridge feelings and the occasional jab.

Lots of happiness there madsaz! Yep, butterflies certainly sounds like it, certainly the earliest feelings; I remember getting this with DS at about week 18 in a meeting and thinking "ooooh, here we go...". This time I've had this, some swooshing, the odd prod, LOTS of rolling around and on two car journeys (think it must be the vibrations!) a good 15 minutes of something leaping around in there. I tend to get it more in the evening too.

Congratulations to all of those who had scans today, how funny so many were on the same day Smile So jealous I've still got so bloody long to go! Ditto carshare, don't care either way, just want to get a name agreed.

Bloody shattered here, nothing to do with the baby and everything to do with the Police helicopter being overhead at midnight-1am as they hauled in a major drug dealer from out of town! Then to top it off, DP got called out so had to get DS from nursery- which required about 40 minutes walking, a bus, two trains and a taxi...

clumsypots · 14/09/2015 21:10

I'm loving all the great scan news everyone!

I am putting the swollen feet down to all the walking I am doing now dd1 Is back to school and the fact that I havent sat on a sofa for 3 months so I can't put my feet up unless I am in bed.

mad that is definitely baby moving Smile I had the shakiness too after a horrible man shouted at me yesterday.

I haven't bought anything for baby yet

madsaz76 · 15/09/2015 06:48

Didn't intend to be quite that smiley but it's apt.

I don't take sleep deprivation well anymore - hope you get the chance to catch up northern

clumsy your self control is awesome. I'm definitely at risk of stockpiling....

MaisieDotes · 15/09/2015 07:30

Congratulations jelly and carshare ! Smile

I have my scan on Monday when I'll be 21+5. Midwife appointment this morning.

makingapplecrumble00 · 15/09/2015 08:51

Exciting scan news everyone. I've still got two weeks to wait :-(

Had my first 'gosh i really am pregnant' moment yesterday. I was in london for a meeting and someone got up and offered me their seat on the tube! Obviously my hours of deciding what to wear to hide the bump were completely wasted, tight tops all the way from now on!

No movements here yet though, butterflies, wiggling, bumpy bridges or otherwise. Hopefully soon...

Rufus200 · 15/09/2015 08:57

Had a really bad IBS attack last night, so had very empty intestines and was awake most of the night. I could actually feel baby moving from the outside. Poor DH I woke him up repeatedly as I wanted him to feel it to and everytime I did baby would stop kicking as hard. Then DH got up for a wee and missed 6 amazing hard kicks in a row, by the time he got upstairs once again baby had stopped.

CalypsoLilt · 15/09/2015 09:31

My baby movements feel like a tumble dryer, where I'm the tumble dryer and the baby does rolls and tumbles inside me. This happens most mornings after my walk to work when I sit at my desk with a brew :) really looking forward to OH feeling the movements, more so than the scan I think.

Saw the midwife yesterday, HB was 140. 2 weeks today until the scan, we're firmly Team Yellow.

Did preggers yoga last night (via NCT) which was nothing like real yoga but really enjoyed it anyway. Slept like a log afterwards :)

Rufus have you tried giving up dairy?

BananaRaces · 15/09/2015 09:36

Haquoi I am wearing my new H&M maternity leggings and can report that they are indeed just as comfy as Clumsy says. Although I had a horrible time in the ruddy changing rooms - really hot and horrible lighting = a terrifying vision of myself in the mirror! Shock

Clumsy and Rufus I noticed for the first time today that a pair of shoes which normally fit fine are a bit too tight... Luckily all my shoes are flats (I am like a new-born fawn if I try to walk in heels), but only a couple of pairs are really comfortable. God I hope my winter boots will fit, I normally live in them for about 5 months of the year!

Carshare I have an anterior placenta too. Still no baby movement felt here, stupid anterior placenta, I'm sure it's wonderful and doing a good job and everything... I just wish it wasn't placed quite so in the way!

So glad all the scans have been going well. Congrats all. Smile 13 days until mine (not that I am counting).

NorthernChinchilla · 15/09/2015 09:37

Sounds painful rufus, you're a bit in the wars at the moment aren't you? Are they underlying issues made worse by pregnancy, or just purely related to it?

Definitely caught up last night cheers mad, feel so much better today.

I love wearing lycra-y/close fitting stuff in pregnancy applecrumble, always one of the benefits I reckon Smile Got a friend's wedding and going to get the Top shop 'Bardot' dress for it. Flats though, can't wear heels at the best of times, and with pregnancy sciatica it's comfy shoes all the way!

NorthernChinchilla · 15/09/2015 09:39

Am off to buy new flat winter boots banana, I live in mine but they're wedges, so need totally flat. Had a right flap this morning over what to wear as I didn't have appropriate footwear!
