Weirdly I've been waking at 4/5 the last few days, I wonder if that's why. My dd slept through the night for the first time aged 2 and a half... crossing my fingers for a bit more sleep this time!
I'd said I wanted to wait a couple of weeks to tell our parents but ended up telling them yesterday, couldn't help myself!
Still seems ludicrously early though, almost wish I hadn't tested so soon as it's more stressful this way I think. Exciting though!

Bejeena · 06/09/2015 13:43

Belmo I am also waking at night, anytime around 4 ish and find it impossible to go back off. It was exactly same when I was pregnant with my son.

I am also regretting testing so early as have driven myself around the twist, I am 5+5 today and this is the stage I was at when I found out last time.

As for sleeping we have been blessed with our son he slept through reliably from about 5 monthsand sporadically from about 4 so I am naively thinking number 2 will be same. I am probably in for a huge shock.

Also a bit concerned about no real symptoms yet but then I can't remember them kicking in until gone 6 weeks last time.

Oh dear and back to work tomorrow after 3 weeks off. Arghhh

BellaMoo · 06/09/2015 18:21

Can't quite believe I'm posting but got my BFP today!!! Very, very early days and period not even due until Thurs. DH didn't believe the faint line internet cheapie tests so got a digital one so he could see the actual words. This was our first month of trying.

Due date around the 18th May and this will be my 4th!!! Eek!! So far, I have has lots of cramping and am very tired. Hoping to avoid morning sickness but think it's unlikely given how bad it was in previous pregnancies.

Blil3 · 06/09/2015 18:44

Hello everyone, I've been reading this post for a few days and finally decided to join in...It looks like I'm due on 4th May ???? so happy but also absolutely petrified-I've got suspected endometriosis (never had the laparoscopy to confirm) and its my first pregnancy. Foolishly been on Google and read risk of miscarriages. Got quite a lot of stomach cramps and generally feeling bloated at the mo + crazy fatigue. Want to be more excited but I guess it's just a waiting game. Congrats to everyone expecting in May ??

Daphnedolittle · 06/09/2015 19:33

I've been away in devon for a few days with friends, think there's been some newbies since then, so welcome everyone Smile

It was so hard to avoid making it obvious I was pregnant! My main tactic was that I always had a glass of wine in front of me in the evenings, DH had to sneakily drink it down from time to time. He ended up quite drunk! Grin

Apart from that I had a lovely time, lots of nice walks and pub grub. Felt really nauseous in the car on the way home but not sure if that was partly car sickness. Haven't had any other symptoms (bar sore boobs) Hoping everyone else is feeling well and not suffering too much.

ODog · 06/09/2015 21:01

Welcome Blil and Bella. Wow Bella - #4!!! You will be the resident expert here then.

Sounds like you had a nice time daphne.

Met up with all the nct gang today and my friend brought her 3day old. She was absolutely gorgeous and I totally forgot how small newborns are. I do however think she is brave having a newborn and a 15mo! I think there's someone on here who will have a similar gap.

StormTr00per · 07/09/2015 08:23

Haha, yes that's me ODog! Totally unplanned though.. will be a 14 month gap I think. I didn't think we could possibly conceive so easily when it took about 2 years first time round. Oops. We did talk about having another, just not quite so soon!
Hello and congrats to all the newbies Smile

Brenna24 · 07/09/2015 13:22

Ufff. DH gave me his tummy bug. I spent last night sat on the loo with a bucket between my knees. I feel quite rough today but I have to pick up some new cells from our collaborator and get them settled in and fed and my boss is not in, so nobody to do it but me. Urgh.

Seeyalater · 07/09/2015 15:23

So sorry to hear your sad news fuzzy. I don't think you need antid before 12 weeks.
6 weeks tomorrow, tender boobs continue, plus a bit queasy, cold and tired on and off. Wish could fast forward to 12 weeks so the worry is off a bit! Hope everyone is well today, looks like quite a few may babies!!!

Hi everyone. Hope it's okay to join, I have just got BFP today! I think I am around 4 weeks ish.

No pregnancy symptoms at all but i am dying to talk to someone about it Grin
I have had cramping on and off for a week though.

Anyone else scared it isn't real?

Seeyalater · 07/09/2015 18:47

It's pretty surreal after that first feint bfp isn't it!

OP posts:
Greyhorses · 07/09/2015 18:58

So surreal that I have managed to do 4 tests over the course of todayGrin

Here's hoping that everything is okay!

Brenna24 · 07/09/2015 19:20

It is still surreal nearly 2 weeks later. Grin

Blil3 · 07/09/2015 19:30

It totally feels surreal! I've taken four tests too! I was wondering how long people wait to tell work? Only myself and my DH know at the mo, but I'm a Physio and my job role is quite demanding in terms of manual handling and heavy patients. I'm nearly 6 weeks (post AF) but only about 3 weeks from conception so I don't know whether to wait a bit longer?! I'm a bit superstitious and don't want to tell lots of people yet Hmm

Greyhorses · 07/09/2015 19:50

Bill i was just chatting to DP about this. I work in a dangerous environment (anaesthetic, X-rays and lots of physical work) so there is a lot I can't do but its so so early.
I think I will try and hide it as long as I can before someone guesses!

Blil3 · 07/09/2015 19:55

I agree with you Greyhorses, it's super early and I don't want to seem dramatic at work but also don't want to risk doing anything that could be detrimental Confused think i'll try hide it as long as possible too Grin

Seeyalater · 07/09/2015 20:25

I think if you are involved in X-rays/heavy stuff etc you need to get risk assessed asap so id tell boss asap just for that reason.

Belmo · 07/09/2015 22:28

Hello and congrats everyone!

I've taken 19 tests Blush Blush I realise this is a little excessive! Phoned up to book booking in appointment and scan this morning, then panicked that it was far too soon and I might have jinxed it Hmm

Feeling more positive this evening though!

Excelsa · 07/09/2015 23:30

Belmo 19 tests Smile - I think I'd be tempted to do one more to make it a round number.

I rang up and arranged my booking in appointment today too - thought best to get it in early this time as last time they lost my scan request and then could only fit it in on the last slot available (which was during a holiday).

ODog · 08/09/2015 06:43

I have done loads of tests too as I like to see the line get darker. I am about to do the 2nd cb digi to check its moved to 3+! This time it really doesn't feel real. I almost keep forgetting. Although I'm less paranoid than I was last time about phantom pregnancy etc. I think it's just because while this one is safe inside, DS is still my priority and I'm busy with him so don't have time to think so much.

Wait4nothing · 08/09/2015 07:06

Daph - I've not had nausea apart from car sickness seems to have intensified!

I told my boss yesterday - very early but we'd just had a meeting about appointments during work time and I then needed to ask for time off for booking in appointment - she was great! Said we'd leave it for now as I'm very early but she will get the risk assessment done when it's needed (no specific need in line of work). I was also worried as maternity will start at worst possible time but she just laughed and says life's like that. So that takes the total people knowing to 6 (both sets of parents and both bosses - dh needed to explain a change of direction at work) and only 6+4 (argh!)

All these people booking scans! My booking in appointment isn't until 8+6 - I'm terrified booking scan will be a problem - should I be doing something?

Daphnedolittle · 08/09/2015 08:12

Nausea has started!! Sad
Struggling to not be sick on the train to work. My appetite seems to have disappeared. Was meant to have a curry with dh last night (love curry) and had to have a sandwich instead.
I'm telling my boss today as well wait4nothing, I've decided to withdraw from a job I applied for so will need to explain why! Dreading today!

I don't have a booking in appointment yet, they asked me to call back when I was 8 weeks, but think I will call next week.

ODog · 08/09/2015 08:14

Got a 3+ on a cb digi and test line as strong as control line so I think I'll finally stop POAS now!

In my last pg, the midwife rang the hospital and booked scan during my booking in appt so I wouldn't worry wait.

I haven't even had a date for booking in yet, the gp said they would notify community mw and I would get a letter in the post. Will probably chase if I haven't heard anything by Friday.

5+6

Bluepigoon · 08/09/2015 08:55

Eek, you're all much more organised than me, I haven't even registered with a gp yet after moving house, must do that this week and find out what I need to do next. I'm 6+1 today.

StormTr00per · 08/09/2015 09:19

I've not done anything yet! Might make a midwife appointment soon.. but feel scared to as that makes it real! Did another test just to make sure.. very strong positive. 19 tests is a good effort tho Belmo Grin
I'd had terrible car sickness. Been getting up to pee all night and the insomnia has kicked in too. Thankfully my wee boy sleeps all night!
