Oh mamama I'll be thinking of you, I really hope you get seen today.

Hello to all the new BFPs, I'm on my phone so it's hard yo name you, I'm sorry!

Got my booking in and scan appts come through today, 30th oct for my scan feels so long away!

99percentchocolate · 25/09/2015 09:45

Beckle, Blue, and Mama (and anyone else I have missed) I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time, I hope you have RL support.

Feeling really awful at the moment. Vomiting and constant nausea. All housework has stopped and DP has taken over the majority of the school runs. Poor DD is getting very upset about it all and we've had to have a chat with her nursery about what is going on so that they are aware.
She is telling everyone she meets that mummy is sick, so pretty sure a few have probably guessed.
On cyclizine, which seems to be helping but hoping it doesn't get too much worse. I couldn't bear seeing DD upset if I have to go into hospital Sad
Still haven't heard about my booking in so will phone on Monday if still not heard anything.

In other news, used my extended sofa time to negotiate a really good deal with Vodafone the other day (Got them to knock £10 pm off my bill and give me the iPhone 6 for free instead of charging £30), only for them to send it to an incorrect address! Had to spend an hour on the phone yesterday getting them to redirect it. Such a faff.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 25/09/2015 09:51

Mamama - this is not last time. Different pregnancy. They're not all the same and just because you had spotting last time, does not mean this is going down the same path. You've seen how many other women here have had bleeds/spotting and it's all been fine. DON'T PANIC. It's not all over yet. I really hope you get a scan today and will be sending SO MUCH love and positive thoughts your way.

Fantastic news about your scan Blue! That must be a huge weight off your mind. Little one is getting on nicely in there!

Gizzy, I'm at a wedding this weekend so will be having a few 'fake' G&Ts too I think! Annoyingly, DH won't be sitting with me at the meal as he's best man so won't have him by my side to sneakily drink my wine for me. But, hey... I managed to get away with not drinking at the hen do so I'm sure I can manage the wedding. Haven't even got the excuse of being the designated driver, as we're staying the night in the hotel! Annoyingly, when I booked that hotel I umm'ed and urr'ed about it as was kind of hoping I'd be pregnant by then and so wouldn't need a hotel room. Still, it's a treat isn't it?

The Sober October is a GREAT shout for anyone trying to avoid suspicion. I'd use it but we're going on our belated honeymoon in October so why would I sign up to a sober October when we'll be spending 10 days in an all inclusive resort?! Don't think people would buy it. Lol.

Mamama31 · 25/09/2015 11:24

Hi ladies thanks for all your kind words of support. Couldn't get a scan until tomorrow but at least I don't have to wait until Monday. Exhausted so going to rest today. Absolutely dreading tomorrow and can't help but think the worst. Same scan room, same situation all over again. But I'm trying to hold on to what Toffee says- different pregnancy. I really hope it will end differently.

PeasinPod1 · 25/09/2015 12:05

Mama have faith!! Look back at this thread and seems at least 60% of us have had spotting/bleeds/cramps.... more people I tell my friends also say they had bleeding- for weeks on end resulting in happy babies.
Have you had more spotting/pain? what colour was it?

Until you know just try to keep focused on anything other than thinking about ti- watch movies/rubbish tv/browse internet for that fab new dress. Are you on Pinterest? As making online mood boards of for eg. exercise, interiors, style is a lovely way to pass the time.
xx

PeasinPod1 · 25/09/2015 12:07

Also mama not medical advice at all, but you know the theories about taking aspirin to prevent miscarriages? Day I had my bigger bleed I went out and bought 75mg aspirin, cut 1 in half and took that, and have been taking that most days (so around 35mg which is the baby aspirin dose) and no more spotting.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 25/09/2015 12:07

Oh that's good news that you can get seen tomorrow Mamama - just try and relax as much as you can today. Put your feet up and distract yourself with some TV or movies or something. I obviously can't promise you everything will be fine, but the odds are on your side. It's more likely to be good news, than bad.

Flowers I know that doesn't make the next 24 hours any easier to deal with. We're all behind you.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 25/09/2015 13:02

Flowers for you mamama
I echo what the other lovely ladies say.

Mamama31 · 25/09/2015 16:00

Thank you Peas, Toffee and Icant.

Peas it's more like a very light brown/pink discharge (exactly the same as last time). Haven't had any today so far but last time it was just sporadically as well so feels the same.

Interesting re the Aspirin if it turns in to a bleed I would consider taking that- I have some in the house. I'm just terrified of the scan now but at least I will know one way or the other tomorrow- I will be 7wks exactly tomorrow so if all is ok there should be a heartbeat. If there isn't ill be devastated.

I've slept most of today as didn't sleep last night. Will probably watch a movie tonight. Feeling sick but more worry than pg nausea.

Thanks for all your kind words again, such lovely ladies x

StormTr00per · 25/09/2015 16:39

Glad you were able to get some rest mama and i hope all goes well for your scan tomorrow Flowers

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 25/09/2015 17:33

Let us know how you get on, glad you got some rest, keeping my fingers crossed Flowers

Southy84 · 25/09/2015 17:42

Hi everyone I haven't been able to get on since Tuesday I think Hmm kept saying site was down... Just had a quick read back and sorry to those having stressful times Flowers I'm also thinking of you beckle and hoping everything will be ok. mama I'm so glad you've got your scan tomorrow, I have everything crossed for you x

I've still been having spotting but my scan showed baby and heartbeat and ive been dated at approx six weeks, still terrified but don't think the worry will go away. I'm 6+5 according to my lmp and they've told me to stick with that date

Mamama31 · 25/09/2015 18:09

Thanks Storm, Icant and Southy.

Southy I just worry as this is how it all started last time. And I know it's probably psychological but I just feel less pregnant today :(

MollieRos · 25/09/2015 18:20

mama glad you've managed to get an earlier scan. I really hope you get good news tomorrow.

Southy that's great to hear- baby and a heartbeat is brilliant news!

It does seem like there's so many people on here who've been having really difficult times. I had no idea early pregnancy would be so stressful. I'm just waiting for things to go wrong, it's a very strange time. toffee you are great at positive thinking- I will try and channel some of your positivity.

Love the Sober October idea! I have 3 social gatherings coming up over the next few weeks which I might have to use that excuse for!

99percentchocolate · 25/09/2015 18:42

Mama - I'm so sorry you must be absolutely terrified. If it helps, I had exactly the same with my first pregnancy and I just tucked her up in bed with her favourite toy.
I don't think I'll ever forget that time waiting for the scan though when my heart was breaking. Here to hold your hand.

The same applies to everyone going through a tough time right now, we're here to hold your hand and offer you a hug xxx

Mamama31 · 25/09/2015 18:51

Thanks Mollie and 99. It's reassuring to hear of positive outcomes, but I just can't seem to stop thinking it's going to be bad news. So negative I know, wish I could shake this feeling.

GrouchyKiwi · 25/09/2015 19:06

Hi nosoold. :)

I'm glad you could get an earlier scan, Mama. Not long to wait now. Flowers

GrouchyKiwi · 25/09/2015 19:08

Argh. Meant to ask whether anyone else is having little dizzy spells.

I could be anaemic (happens to me easily) but I'm taking Floradix so that shouldn't be an issue.

Wondering whether it could be the hormones or if it's more likely a result of stopping some anti-migraine meds.

ODog · 25/09/2015 19:24

Great news southy and fx for tomorrow mama.

I have dizzy spells grouchy. I did in my last pg and it was just low blood pressure. I have naturally low blood pressure and my mw last time said in early pregnancy it's quite common for it to drop. Anyway that's what was causing the dizzy spells and I assume the same this time. Always worse first thing in the morning when your blood pressure is at its lowest.

GrouchyKiwi · 25/09/2015 19:53

Ah, I should have remembered about low blood pressure. That's probably it. Thanks, ODog

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 25/09/2015 19:59

Ah ladies I'm doing my first clexane injection at home as finally discharged from hospital - I can't bring myself to do it :( I'm sat here pinching my flab skin ready to do it but just can't. I'm such a wuss .

Brenna24 · 25/09/2015 20:12

I am getting dizzy too. I also have low blood pressure.

Good luck with the injection ICant

I am ravenous. I hope DH isn't much longer cooking dinner.

Nicky333 · 25/09/2015 20:17

Hi all, I'm tentatively joining this thread. I'm 40, 5+3, first pregnancy and live in North Yorkshire. I've done 4 tests, all positive but I just don't FEEL pregnant. I feel a tiny bit bloated but that's it. I had a bilateral mastectomy in 2006 so no sore boobs.

We have our midwife appointment on Wednesday so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 25/09/2015 20:18

Thanks Brenna I've just done it and ordered a Chinese for it hah!
Nicky congratulations! Hope weds goes well :)

Mamama31 · 25/09/2015 20:48

Southy sorry i didn't even congratulate you on your amazing scan, my heads away! That's great news! Sorry I've been so selfishly focused on what's going on with me, I didn't mean to do that. That's great news and very reassuring x
