Southy sorry to hear you had a bad night Sat! I hope things have settled down for you again.

Can't believe it's Monday again!!! hoping for a fast week then early scan next Mon! Hope everyone is feeling well today!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/09/2015 08:57

Morning all, happy Monday (sigh)...

Sorry to hear that Southy, I hope you don't have anymore like that. Cramping is really scary and just makes you more stressed doesn't it!

Picolette my midwife appointment is on 23rd so I'm playing a waiting game too! I can't work out how many weeks I'll be by then because I'm dense. Grin

How soon after the midwife appt does the scan happen?

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/09/2015 08:58

Ooh and Mama you must be getting so excited for your scan!!

Southy84 · 21/09/2015 09:32

Thank you blil mama pico and tiffany feeling a little better today, slept better and only just woke up! Stomach hurts but think it's constipation today :(

I have my early scan this Friday but don't think my 12 week one will come through Til early November - ages away- keeping everything crossed for Friday first.

tiffany I was using a fertility app - fertility friend and once I input that I'm pregnant It tells me how far along I am so I don't have to work it out :) It goes by the first day of your last period though so I don't think I'm as far along as that

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 21/09/2015 09:41

Goodness, I'm pages and pages behind in posts. I have read everything but as I'm sneaking on at work to chat to you all, I can't go back and reply to everything - sorry to be a right pain. From now onwards, I'll be more up to date!

Sorry to all of those who are having a rough time or feeling a bit down. It's a horribly anxious time, isn't it? No one ever warns you of this!

I'm 6+1 today, and worried that I haven't been sick yet (what a silly thing to be worrying about?!). I get real waves of nausea but no actual vomit. Should I be worried? Or is this a good thing? Or do I have plenty of this to come? I just don't know. Boobs seem to be getting achier by the day - how long does that last?! I'm having to tell DH to be careful when he's hugging me! Ouch.

I honestly have no idea how those with DC already are coping - I'm knackered as it is, and I'm not running around another child all day. Seriously, hats off to you all. You're all amazing Mummies.

Can I ask a slightly embarrassing question? DH and I haven't had sex since we found out we're pregnant - I think we're both a little scared (not to mention the exhaustion and nausea playing it's part!). I've researched and I know it's safe to have sex... but I don't want to risk anything. Is anyone else feeling the same?

StormTr00per · 21/09/2015 10:05

Hey.. I wouldn't worry at all about not being sick. I went whole last pregnancy without being sick. Nausea also counts as "morning sickness" .. I too just get nausea and tend to just go off certain foods randomly x
And yes totally exhausted here. Not sleeping then up a 6am with DS.. Trying to sneak in some naps but just get really tired by mid afternoon and want a proper sleep!

Southy84 · 21/09/2015 10:17

Hi toffee don't worry about the sickness I'm also 6+1 today and just nausea here too. My boobs are getting more painful by the day though, they are massive and so tender. No sex here either, I'm still getting spotting though and way to scared to risk it. I'm sure once you get into the second trimester you will feel less anxious- then again I know people who've not the whole pregnancy, you just do what's comfortable for you both :)

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 21/09/2015 10:20

Ooh that's so reassuring - thank you StormT. It always catches up with you in the afternoon the exhaustion doesn't it?! Hope your DS is being good! He's going to be a big brother!!! Eeeeek how exciting!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 21/09/2015 10:21

Thanks Southy - I do keep thinking of you and sending such positive thoughts your way. You're doing amazingly well! Ahh I didn't even realise we were the same dates wise - I shall be watching your symptoms even closer now! (Oh dear, that sounds a bit menacing doesn't it? Didn't mean for it to sound like that!)

Bishboshbash · 21/09/2015 10:32

Yes you won't necessarily be sick Toffee, I wasn't sick last time round and to be honest I had hardly any symptoms I was just achy towards the end.
DS decided to be wide awake from 2am-5am last night argh, so tired today!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/09/2015 10:35

Toffee we're exactly the same - No sex since we found out. Partly tiredness, sore boobs and cramps, partly a worry about the little bean!

Last night's excuse was that we couldn't sleep in our bed as DH painted our bedroom, and our sofa bed is so old and creaky we were too scared to get jiggy on it Grin

Ooh, I think I'm 6 + 1 today too as the first day of my last period was the 15th August.

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 10:38

Tiff I am absolutely terrified about my scan, I want it to come so I can find out it everything is ok but also dreading being in the same room as I was when I found out about mmc. It's a mixture of emotions- mainly terrified though. I guess I need to know one way or the other though. How are you feeling?

Toffee I'm 6+2, and haven't been sick yet but feeling pretty queezy today. Didn't sleep well last night though

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 10:41

(stupid phone!) I was saying didn't sleep well so I'm exhausted as well.

Re the sex thing, because I was spotting last pregnancy we didn't have sex then and even though I'm not spotting this time (so far) we are both terrified to have sex- but I also don't feel like it at all as I'm so focused on whether everything is going to be ok this time. I think after our 12 week scan if all is well and I can relax a little then we might but DH is also worried about upsetting anything. He's gagging for it in a way but doesn't want to do it- he's being

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 10:45

So understanding. I do think do what your comfortable with.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/09/2015 10:48

Oh Mama sorry if I was insensitive. It must be so difficult for you both. Try not to stay calm and not stress yourself out too much with the worry Flowers

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 21/09/2015 10:48

I mean try TO stay calm!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 21/09/2015 10:56

Oh Mama, I'm sure this time will be so so different. Can absolutely understand how nervewracking it must be. Like Tiff said, stay as positive as you can and try not to worry - EASIEST thing to say, HARDEST thing to do.

We're all behind you and supporting you 100%.

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 11:08

Tiff you weren't insensitive at all! Thank you Tiff and Toffee, it's lovely having the support on here. I have been more calm than I expected I'd be, but I think on the day I will be in a bit of a panic- just the memories of that room and how devastating it all was. But hoping for good news this time! And praying like mad!! Thanks ladies, at least I will know in a weeks time.

PosterEh · 21/09/2015 12:04

Mamama I'm going through the same thing. Last pregnancy I had a big bleed the day after we had sex following a long gap (too sick). I'm sure it was a coincidence but I'm still too nervous atm.

Southy84 · 21/09/2015 12:04

Hehe that's ok toffee I will probably do the same :)

I'm not surprised you're tired bish, do you have to go to work today?

tiffany we've been doing some decorating too, luckily not our bedroom as I can't stand the smell of paint at the mo!

mama totally understand what you mean, sending you hugs. Luckily our epu has moved since we had our MC so I know I won't end up in the same room as before. Still petrified though- and last time I didn't have spotting, it was a missed MC that wasn't picked up Til my 12 week scan. It's frightening but I'm trying so hard to stay positive. I have everything crossed for you hun x

handbags88 · 21/09/2015 12:44

Hello - can I join? I'm 7+3 today with baby #1. Got my booking appointment next Monday and 12 week scan on 26th October!

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 13:02

Poster it's just not worth the risk, we have to do all we can to keep our little beans safe and if that means no sex....then no sex it is!

Southy I just had light spotting with my mc but it was also a missed mc as I was scanned each week and all was progressing well until 7 and a half week scan showed no growth and that the baby had stopped growing around 6.5 wks. I had to have a d&c at 8 weeks as I didn't mc myself. Just terrifying isn't it? And with a missed mc you just assume things are well, such an emotional rollercoaster. Southy I'm sure you just can't wait to get your scan! But probably like me also terrified!

Mamama31 · 21/09/2015 13:04

Was driving home for lunch and felt so sick, but like a hangover as though I needed a kentucky fried chicken! So I got one for lunch (greedy bitch!) and I feel a bit better but I can forsee some vomiting soon over the next few days!

ljjeffro · 21/09/2015 13:05

Does anyone know much about herbalife when you're pregnant? I'm currently doing the weight loss plan which is 2 shakes a day and a healthy meal plus snacks. I don't know whether to carry on with it or not. Im also taking a multi vitamin tablet and 2 fibre tablets 3 times a day (provided by herbalife) and im thinking about stopping them and just taking the pregnacare. I really must contact my coach!
Also i have an appointment tonight with my gp so they can refer me to the hospital, i know i can do it myself but i want to try and push for an early scan as i really don't want to wait till the 12 week in case i have another mmc (which was what happened last time). Fingers crossed!

Picolette · 21/09/2015 13:10

Welcome Handbags!!

Tiffany I think the timings between appts vary a lot depending on your due date and availability (& efficiency) of hospital, midwives etc. I booked myself in online 2 wks ago and was sent both my scan & midwife appt a week later.
