Bish just seen you're location. I had #4 there after having to get flown to the mainland. Theres a chance we'll come out to Edinburgh for this one too.
And you're my due date buddy Wink

Can I get an add on the list?
I'm 39 old. DD 21/5/16. Baby #5 and I'm in the Hebrides.

Bishboshbash · 20/09/2015 12:44

Oh really Gizzy? Clearly my geography is awful as I thought you were on the west coast. Oops! Wouldn't that be funny if me, you and Grouchy were on the ward together?! I will add you to the list this evening when the ever "helpful" DS has gone to bed haha.

GizzyBoo · 20/09/2015 13:09

Yes we are off the west coast but I have a friend in Edinburgh so instead of going to Glasgow I went to stay with her. Arrived Saturday lunch, had him Saturday night and came back to the island on Monday Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 20/09/2015 13:47

Bish and Gizzy: will you be using the birthing suite (midwife led) or the ward?

GizzyBoo · 20/09/2015 13:49

If I go out it will be the birthing suite. I was only there for 3 hours last time then back tucked up at my friends so I probably won't stay.
It's just a contingency plan at the moment. I'd rather stay here and have a hb. X

Bishboshbash · 20/09/2015 14:31

I will hopefully be having a section so it will be ward for me!

GrouchyKiwi · 20/09/2015 14:57

Smile I'll be using the birthing suite, all going well. Last time they told me it was full and I should wait longer at home. So glad I didn't because I went from no dilation to baby in 2 1/2 hours and it was intense. Wouldn't have handled that at home.

TodmordensDog · 20/09/2015 18:19

Odog I've just seen you're Essex too! Which hospital with you be having the baby in? Maybe we can be ward buddies haha!!????Really tempted to book an early scan, although I'd like an early gender scan and don't think I'll be able to get dh to agree to both!!????Mamama what new symptoms should I be on the lookout for?!????And yy to cramping, I've had lots. ????I know I've said it before but my bloating is pretty bad- anyone else find they're bigger quicker with a second baby?

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 18:49

Tod there's nothing new with me really, just same old sore swelling boobs, slight nausea but nothing serious and tiredness. I don't know if this is normal for 6+1 I'm hoping so! One week +1 day until my early scan....so nervous about it. Tod what symptoms have you got?

ODog · 20/09/2015 19:00

Ahh fellow Essex mum! I'll be having baby at Southend. What about you? I'm seriously paranoid today. Sorry for tmi but I'm wearing brown knickers today and the discharge looks like it has a brown tinge but not sure if it's just the effect of the knickers? Discharge seems more creamy than white when I wipe but no brown/pink tinge. I realise how nuts that sounds when I read that back. Will try to relax!

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 19:18

Odog put a pair of white ones on just to check or a liner, it probably is just the fact your wearing brown knickers though.

ODog · 20/09/2015 19:19

Also brown knickers sound super unattractive they are poor DH!

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 19:24

Odog I didn't want to say that lol!!! But yes when you change in to white ones maybe bin those brown ones! Haha! (kidding!)

ODog · 20/09/2015 19:32

I was going to say mink but would rather appear unattractive than twatish! Haha!

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 19:33

I was totally joking btw Odog, I have some of the most unnatractive (Bridget Jones) pants known to man!!!

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 19:34

Mink!!!! Haha!

TodmordensDog · 20/09/2015 19:46

Odog I've had exactly that in a pair of pink Knicks- I don't wear those any more! I'll be having baby at Broomfield I think, I think I'll be high risk after previous emcs so no mlu for me this time.????Mamama I've started going off some food but eating others like an absolute monster. Going to be the size of a house by the end of this!

Mamama31 · 20/09/2015 19:51

Tod I'm the same, mainly eating stodgy food/carbs. Off creamy things/sauces and can eat deserts/popcorn but couldn't eat an actual bar of chocolate. My fruit smoothies I was having every morning are also a chore now and the consistency ain't good!

ODog · 20/09/2015 19:54

My SIL gave birth at Broomfield and had a good experience as far as I know. Im hoping to go into the on site MLU at Southend this time. Glad you had the knicker issue too haha! I'm normally quite rational.

TodmordensDog · 20/09/2015 20:10

Yeh they were great with ds1, so I'm happy to go there if needs be. ????Is anyone else considering elcs?

Bishboshbash · 20/09/2015 20:16

Yes me!

Bluepigoon · 20/09/2015 20:33

Hi everyone, I haven't dropped in for a while and it's got very busy in here - congratulations everyone new!

I'm 8 weeks tomorrow, but other than being slightly more tired than usual I don't really have any symptoms yet, which I'm hoping isn't a bad sign. I've got my booking in appointment in the morning so will quiz the midwife.

I can't add myself to the list as I'm on an iPad, would someone mind adding me please? EDD 4/5/16, age 32, baby 1, South Yorkshire.

Thank you!

Southy84 · 20/09/2015 21:20

Hi everyone hope you've all had a nice weekend, welcome and congratulations pisforpeter and ljjeffro :)

Hopefully your coccyx won't cause you too many problems gizzy sounds painful :(

I'm sure things will work out bejeena hopefully baby will arrive when your parents are over.

Sorry to those suffering with sickness too.

muffin when I was in hospital last weekend I was offered paracetamol only, I'd personally just stick with that Til you've spoken to your Dr hope you're feeling a bit better today.

tiff glad you had a good day yesterday. You'll have to let us know how you get on with yoga :) hope you're feeling ok today

grouchy Ive had the cramps too :(

Had a really bad night last night had hoffible cramps and was convinced I was having a mc, actually woke up screaming- woke dh up, it was horrific. Hoping I sleep better tonight. Think last night was a bit of a reality check of how nervous ive actually been feeling.

I get why you're paranoid odog ive been using liners for a week now... Hehe to the mink pants- I'm sure they look better than they sound Wink

blue I'm so jealous you're 8 weeks already!

Hi to all the other lovely ladies here too x

Blil3 · 20/09/2015 22:49

Hi all, wow I've only been away for four days and thought id catch up on the thread, really lovely to see it so busy and to hear everyone's stories/ how everyone's getting on!
BishBosh- can I be a pain and get you to add me to the list too please? My iPad won't let me load it either... I'm 28, due on 4th May, first baby, Cheshire.
Not got my booking in appointment until 5th October when I'll be 9+5, which has made me anxious as still getting a fair amount of cramping + a weird right upper flank pain tonight. Seriously bloated as well, but I guess I'll just have to be patient....
Gizzy I have also been taking tests galore, it just doesn't feel real at the mo!
I can't remember who mentioned it but I think someone was talking about exercise- I've really struggled to keep up my normal gym routine, I'm blaming the nausea but think that's just an excuse as I just have no motivation to go before work like I used to. Hoping to feel a bit more energetic soon Smile
Congrats and hello to all the newcomers.
Hope everyone's doing okay
Hope you get a better nights sleep Southy, your cramps sound terrible Flowers x

Picolette · 20/09/2015 23:31
