I'm quite surprised by how many symptoms I'm having this early on... I had it in my head that nothing really happened much in the way of tiredness and nausea etc until much later in the pregnancy.

Thanks for sorting the list Bish. Just having a banana at my desk at the moment, boss is out for a few hours so Pinteresting to my heart's content! Hope the rain clears up soon, it's quite sunny here today.

Daphnedolittle · 17/09/2015 15:26

I have troughed!! This time of day is a killer!

I have leaving drinks to go to as well. Whaaaa.

ODog · 17/09/2015 15:30

DS had his swimming lesson earlier and it has luckily whacked him out so I'm watching crap sky plus under a blanket while he naps. Agree daphne 3-4pm is the worst for tiredness.

PeasinPod1 · 17/09/2015 16:14

Is anyone else's belly seriously bloated? Mine is like a football and looks like I'm already about 20 weeks preg...awful.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/09/2015 16:16

Bish please could you add me to the list. I'm 33, baby number 2 and due 30 April/1 may. Pretty sure I ovulated late and will be May though. I'm in London. Thank you!!

I work 3 days a week and by weds eve I'm knackered with it all. Have up gig tickets for this eve, abandoned plans for the park and just been crashed out in the sofa most of the day. Dd has been taking the opportunity to bounce on my head/ belly. Not sure which is worse when feeling like this!

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/09/2015 16:17

That's current dd who is one btw! New baby too small to bounce stillGrin will be 8 weeks tomorrow which feels reassuring for some reason. We've still told no one but it's very tempting.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/09/2015 16:18

peas I'm def bloated. Jeans feel very snug already. Disappointing as last time I didn't show til 2nd tri!

Mamama31 · 17/09/2015 16:31

I'm bloated as well, even jeggings are feeling snug today! Likely the carb overload past 2 wks though!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 17/09/2015 16:55

I'm bloated toooo, my lovely new black jeggings have been pushed to the back of the wardrobe Confused

Welcome Dorothea!

I'm going out for dinner with a close friend this evening and I haven't told her yet. Feel almost too shattered to to really but I'm excited to tell her the news! Only people I've told at the mo are my parents plus closest friend.

PeasinPod1 · 17/09/2015 16:57

Glad not just me Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 17/09/2015 16:58

So sorry you're still worried and having a difficult time, Southy. Hopefully things settle down. Flowers

Bish: so close! That is nice. In my last ante-natal group we didn't really discuss where everyone lived so I don't know. We're still chatting on Facebook though, which is nice.

I've had mild moments of nausea, which is pretty much par for the course for me. With DD1 I puked once and felt slightly unwell for the first trimester. With DD2 there was no puking. I'm hoping for that again. Wink

Definitely needing to pee more often. Helpfully, one of the children still wakes most nights (they seem to take it in turns) so I can go then.

No bloating, but I have just shovelled in the extra filling from the dessert I made for dinner so it'll probably come.

How are everyone's DH's/DP's handling things? DH is still a little shell-shocked. I think he didn't expect it to happen so soon. Neither did I, to be honest. We'd just agreed to stop trying not to become pregnant (rather than specifically trying) and BAM! Bun in the oven straight away. I guess that makes up for my period coming back only 4 months after DD2 was born when I was still EBF every 2 hours.

Speaking of, is anyone else still nursing a little one? I'm wondering what difference that will make to symptoms.

Sorry for the mammoth post; I'm a little hyperactive today.

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/09/2015 17:09

Grouchy I'm still nursing though just once a day (dropped evening feed two weeks ago). It has meant my boobs haven't swelled this time. Are you planning to keep going throughout this pregnancy?

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/09/2015 17:11

My DH is also a bit shocked as we conceived first go this time and last. If memory serves he'll switch to boasting about his excellently functional balls soon Hmm. Thankfully just to me not in public. Smile

PearlyFish · 17/09/2015 17:15

This thread moves so quickly! Hi to new peeps!

Bish can you please add me too? I'm 35, this is baby #2, due 10th May and I'm in Norfolk.

Bishboshbash · 17/09/2015 17:48

Oh Grouchy I just had a thought, which hospital will you go to? We could be giving birth in the same hosp at the same time?!

Southy84 · 17/09/2015 18:20

toffee your message nearly made me cry- in a nice way, thank you all for being so lovely.

tiffany and daphne I have also been waking up in the morning/during the night with serious dry mouth syndrome!! I'm drinking about a pint of water throughout the night! And I never drink during the night. Dh also likes it when I tell him I feel ill or have painful boobs, apparently its a good sign :) feels odd celebrating these things!

I had my blood reaults and Dr seems happy, progesterone is 58 and hcg 6400 so not quite a double up but over 60% is classed as fine. Still feel nervous but from what I've read online researched these seem fine so I am now stepping away from my google addiction!

ODog · 17/09/2015 20:16

Yay for good blood results southy.

We conceived first go both times too dorothea and the first thing DH said both times I told him was that he always knew he has super sperm! Hmm

Also I'm with you southy on the dry mouth in the night. I never had that first time, only when I was BF through the night. However, I am producing milk again so maybe that has something to do with it. I do wonder if it never fully went away and it's only now I've bothered to check. I can't wait to BF again, stopped before I was really ready, at 5mo, as everyone told me formula would make DS sleep (it didn't!) and I have regretted it since.

BrassMonkey84 · 17/09/2015 20:25

DH also claims to have super sperm. Conceived first month after coming off pill so very lucky. DH seemed a bit bummd. Wanted to be trying for longer!

Told both sets of parents and siblings today but everyone sworn to secrecy. Anyone else sharing the news with anyone?

PinkBubbles1 · 17/09/2015 20:26

Fab results Southy, sounds positive.

Daphne- Bromley!! ?? do u work local too? Pm me if you like.

I too am feeling the tiredness, weeing more often and metallic taste in mouth but all good!

I'm still BF just once a day as a bed time feed so no noticeable change to boobs this time.

Made my gp app today, have to go on 9th October. They will then refer me to hospital for notes and to book scan etc. will seem more real then

TodmordensDog · 17/09/2015 20:58

Please could someone add me too? 25, dc2, edd 14.05.2016 and located in Essex. ????This thread moves so fast- I'm struggling to keep up!????Been eating like a food monster today, I only put in about half a stone with dc1 so was hoping this one would be similar but I reckon I've put that on already! Although I lost my appetite for quite a while a bit further in so maybe that's coming up again.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 17/09/2015 21:11

Could I be added too? 23, dc2, edd 17.05.16, S.W. Wales

99percentchocolate · 17/09/2015 21:19

Fantastic news Southy! So pleased for you xxx

Congratulations to 29 and hello!

I'm feeling very bloated today but not as nauseous as last night (when I came frighteningly close to vomiting on DD whilst we were doing a puzzle). Dp isn't feeling well tonight so my turn to look after him tonight.

Could somebody add me too please? 28, due 18th May, DC2, living in The West Midlands (Birmingham really)

Daphnedolittle · 17/09/2015 21:20

Yay so glad your blood test results were good southy!

I pm'd you pink, 3 times it looks like Blush

Pineapplesecret · 17/09/2015 22:10

Total newbie here. May need some hand holding!
Told my family but kept quiet outside of that. Been exhausted by 3-4pm, been sleeping early, had constipation, hot flushes, sore breasts since it happened. Got test Monday, planning to register with Doctors at weekend.
Need to learn all these short hand terms! 33, London, first timer. Good to meet you x

BrassMonkey84 · 17/09/2015 22:25

Hi Pineapple and congrats. Not sure how many first time mums here. This is my second. DS is 21 months. 30 and living overseas.
